Shrenchel Posted 20 June 2008 Posted 20 June 2008 He looks fooking nails. I hope he becomes embroiled in some kind of touchline brawl with Barry Fry.
Corky Posted 20 June 2008 Posted 20 June 2008 He looks fooking nails. I hope he becomes embroiled in some kind of touchline brawl with Barry Fry. Pearson- "You think our fans have a reputation do you? Well, I'll live up to that!"
lavrentis Posted 20 June 2008 Posted 20 June 2008 Picture special on the OS now!!! Look at the last picture!! He's a real poser
Raj Posted 20 June 2008 Posted 20 June 2008 Not that anybody is EVER bothered about waht i have to say on owt BUT my take on NP- When i knew this was gonna happen( about 3 days ago!!!! ) i thought it was typical LCFC. Boring and uninspiring. Having thought about it and digested it,it may be the best we can do in our current shitty position. We'd be doo lally to think a higher class of manager would come to us after what we've been through and waht Div we are in now. We could have done better, maybe? We could have done ALOT worse,Defo! NP has been assistant under a few good managers and has a good rep as a coach, however how many coaches have been succesfull as managers? He does however seem to be enthusiastic and i dont think he'll be a nicey nicey bloke and that may be something we've not had of late. Perhaps after the relative"named' managers of late that have done fcuk all at City, NP is what we need? Agian, only time will tell.....(P.S Atleast it wasnt Gregory!)
20mj08 Posted 20 June 2008 Posted 20 June 2008 once agen weve got a split lot of fans but come on weve had enough dissapointment wot else can happen .... another manager n were just gonna have to try and support him as much as possible and see if he learnt ote off big sam or keegan but hay lets get this season / party started
demon_dog Posted 20 June 2008 Posted 20 June 2008 At last, we now know who the manager is. Can't say I know a great deal about NP but I am fully in favour of supporting him. As I posted previously, some of the people on this Forum would not be happy no matter who was the manager. Well tough, it's been sorted, now either give him your backing or clear off into exile No doubt you would all come crawling back at the first sign of us being successful.
Zingari Posted 20 June 2008 Posted 20 June 2008 He looks fooking nails. I hope he becomes embroiled in some kind of touchline brawl with Barry Fry. you're right i think he looks a bit vinnie jonesish
SamL Posted 20 June 2008 Posted 20 June 2008 I suppose you can't be too choosy in the position we're in. I think we could've done a lot worse. I'm not particularly excited about this appointment but I'll support the bloke. Good luck to him.

I'm not sure why some posters always have to come over as so sanctimonious but it's always the pro-manager/Mandaric brigade. I like many others have paid over £300 for their season tickets and have a right to express disappointment over the choice of yet another manager with either no track record or a piss-poor one. The Mandaric-era has so far seen relegation to Division 3 and so many shite managers we are now a laughing stock - so no I will not clap like a seal when yet another uninspiring appointment is made. I do know a bit about Nigel Pearson and his time at Carlisle, he may have kept them up but it was a disaster. I will be there against Franchise FC and I will be behind the manager and the team, but that does not mean I am happy we have appointed Nigel Pearson.

That's good to hear. Whatever you think of Pearson's appointment (someone called him an "arsehole" which I thought was a bit harsh), we have to get behind him. Even if you are not inspired, give the bloke a chance, don't write him off yet.

Who did you expect though? We're a joke of a div 3 club, lets be honest.
LE5 Chris Posted 20 June 2008 Posted 20 June 2008 Out of the three the Mockery were suggesting, I'd have preferred Nigel Worthington. But we're only a joke Division 3 club thanks to one mad old fart who couldn't spot a promising manager if one jumped up and bit him on the arse. I'm tired of his rhetoric, talk of big names and Joe Bloggs being the right man to take us forward. I want Pearson to be successful, I don't want my club to be a revolving door of managers as it's embarrassing. Nor do I enjoy watching us losing every week just so I can slag off the manager. However, his record doesn't justify his appointment and it's up to him to prove people wrong now.
Simi Posted 20 June 2008 Posted 20 June 2008 Can i say one thing:WHO!!!??? Mildy happy with this appointment, you have to remember who he was up against. The applicants were not exactly covered in glory were they? Much rather Pearson than Gregory, I think we can all agree on that. I like his style of management from what I saw of him at Southamton. He kept a sinking team up and I remember perfectly well that most people on here were backing them to go down ahead of us. ****ing annoying to yet again see the same old bullshit on the OS. Mandy - Just admit you've ****ed up so far and get on with it, none of this new era bullshit. Welcome Nige.

thecannon Posted 20 June 2008 Posted 20 June 2008 I don't think this was everybodys first choice to be Leicester manager. But i think we all need to back him and get behind him! I have a feeling that we are going to boo him for some reason!

If promotion isn't gained this season, we need to see a step in the right direction.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 20 June 2008 Posted 20 June 2008 I've just got back from work, has something happened?
SamL Posted 20 June 2008 Posted 20 June 2008 I've just got back from work, has something happened? Is that sarcastic? Nigel Pearson has been appointed if you didn't already know.
Corky Posted 20 June 2008 Posted 20 June 2008 I've just got back from work, has something happened? Some presenter from Talksport has been chosen for the next managerial victim of the Leicester City curse.
