Your favourite song atm?

Recommended Posts

Decided that my music collection is shit. Apart from panic at the disco

So basically what's everyone's favourite songs atm and/or any you would suggest so I can download. *Illegally* :P

I'm up for anything.

For Phube's benefit: I legally own all bar two albums from that list and am going to buy them this week. I support acts who produce music I rate

Albums:

Benga - Diary of an Afro Warrior (saw him in Serbia... mwoohahahaaa)

Pete Philly & Perquisite - Mindstate / Mystery Repeats (played in Serbia but I missed them  )

I'm quite glad you recommended that to me.

Had a lot of play from me.

Check out Pete Philly. You seem to have decent taste in hip hop - you should love them. Probably a bit more chilled than your usual stuff I imagine. But they are honestly two of the best hip hop albums I've heard for ages. And Talib Kweli is a fan as if you needed any more reason!

I'll try and find some stuff from them or him once my computers been sorted out. Been hoping to add some chilled hip-hop to my collection so hopefully this will fit the bill.

Must own music

get your mitts on...

Tracks

Television, The Drug of the Nation - Disposable Heroes of Hiphopracy - "so if you're seeking emotional satisfaction, my advice to you is, seek professional help!"

Party Hard - Andrew WK :punk:

Unfinished Sympathy - Massive Attack

If I Was Your Girlfriend - Prince

Mutiny In Heaven - The Birthday Party

Albums

The Soft Bulletin - The Flaming Lips

Thunder Lightning Strike - The Go! Team

Timeless - Goldie

Relationship of Command - At The Drive-in

Loveless - My Bloody Valentine

Doolittle - Pixies

That's enough to start with. If you want anything more recent I can recommend the MGMT album Orcular Spectacular. And the Nine Inch Nails album The Slip, which is available legitimately as a free download

Goldie - Timeless - absolute masterpiece.

Sea of Tears... one of my favourite tunes ever.

I'd never claim it as high art but it's cock-rock at it's finest!

It's the "snarl" at the end of the Party Hard video that really did it for me.
