New Season Heralds New-Look Programme

With a new chapter in Leicester City's history about to unfold, the official matchday programme has taken on a new look ahead of the first League One game of the season against MK Dons at the Walkers Stadium tomorrow (Saturday).

A 'square' design has been adopted with the programme again being priced at £3 and containing 64 pages of news, views and interviews as well several historical articles charting the club's 124-year history.

Stand-in skipper Matt Oakley reveals all in the first Big Interview of the season while Chairman Milan Mandaric and Manager Nigel Pearson address the fans ahead of the big kick-off.

There are also interviews with new signings Paul Dickov and David Martin.

New features include Dreamland, an eight-page Junior Foxes supplement, Foxes Footsteps, You in the Blue, Treasure Trove, Living Legends, Stop That Clock, Fox Hunt, A to Z and 12 Questions to name but a few.

Programmes are available around the ground before kick-off on Saturday from one of our sellers or alternatively in the City Megastore or Ticket Office.

Alternatively, you can subscribe to the programme for the season for just £70 by contacting 0116 229 4923.

It has changed in size... I was doing adverts for it this week. The advert size was 21cm Wide x 23.2cm High. Basically get an A4 piece of paper and chop the top off to make it about square.

Before it was something like 14.85cm wide x 21cm high

That looks quite good. In fairness to the club the programmes have always been of good quality. Not too many adverts, plenty of features, like Faraway fans and famous games, and our information on the opposition is better than at most clubs.

That's an odd format.

Tell me about it... Money saving springs to mind... fewer pages than before, but blame it on the new size and say you get the same amount of content (but don't).

Haven't bought one for years.

The last two I bought were when we topped the premiership prior to us playing Man Utd, just so that I could prove in later years that we topped the Premier League. :D

Also one on our last ever game at filbert street. :(

The printers last year have gone bust, heard that they had already lost the programme as LCFC seemed to think there were some big corporation demanding cost savings, so suspect cost savings is the reason for new size

New feature in the programme. I like it

In each league edition of the official matchday programme until early next year, we will bring you two Foxy Ladies. Afterwards, six to eight finalists will be selected by an internal judging panel and featured once again in the programme. Fans will then be given the opportunity to vote via text for their favourite with the Fox who polls the highest total being declared the winner and with it earning the right to model the new home 09/10 kit.

The winner will also appear on the front cover of the club's final home matchday programme of the 2008/09 season.

Infact I love the whole programme, looks good.

Footballs back...We've won!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I did the usual "Can I have a look at your programme?" trick. "Cheers".

I like the square look to it. And the feature you mention had me backtracking at first!

I might even buy one next time...

I didn't think it was as good as in previous seasons and there doesnt actually seem to be much in it to be honest. A whole page for a quiz, a whole page for DJ Campbells favourite things beginning with A-Z?

The feature that Matt mentioned got my attention though :D

Fox Hunt

Anyone see this bit of the program? The standard of the birds for this seasons model hunt is definitely good judging by those two crackers
