Yes. I had two texts read tonight. One about fans criticising Howard for no reason and about him being made the scapegoat (although it was said "scapeboat"), and the one which had MTWG at the end, praing Hobbs.

When, will I, will I be famous?

I DO have a reason.

He's fcuking shite!

*mind you he aint the only one who could end up being labelled a great player on his League One performances.

Just want people to remember that some of these players are the same ones who 'helped' City get relegated.

People shouldnt forget that.

EVER.

NEVER.

** Boy am i a mardy fcuking miserable bastard full of loathing hatred!. sorry!

I just lump people into categories I'm afraid. So if I hear anyone that likes Andy King or other young player, then they are a relation of yours

No chance of being overwhelmed then. Apart from Gradel - and there's a few quietly knocking him already despite his having to play in a proverbial straight-jackety on Saturday - home grown youngsters will have to play twice as well as any import to be appreciated.

It was the case with Sheehan and will be exactly the same with King and Porter. Both have short contracts from memory and I wouldn't be surprised if we lost them soon for exactly the same reasons as Sheehan.

Why? Because the bigger name/better payed imports always get some slack while the lower paid Academy graduates are much more easily made the fall guys when something goes wrong.

Oakley played some rank bad games last season but still had a following because of his name. Even the criticism of him was often muted yet King didn't get a look in as his potential replacement even though his particular qualities were so desperately needed.

Oakley's playing better now but was pefectly ordinary on Saturday yet some still insisted he was better than King which really shows what the youngster is up against. Some have even remarked on here that Oakley will play whatever. I don't doubt that but it just strengthens my case really.

When Clemence gets back fit, King won't be in the first team. Clemence is better for set peices and we need someone with a good cross.

Clemence was AWESOME last season.

This is the third tier of English football we are talking about. You wont see any fantastic players (Arsenal exc would have them if they saw them.) but players will stand out as better than the rest. The trick is to have more of those players than the other teams. City are in a position to attract some better mediocre players because of their name, stadium and facilities.

Fight for places will be stronger so the players will have to put in more effort. Its one thing being sold on to another championship side or Div 1 side but the next step down could be Hinkley.

Well who else can put a decent ball in ? Clemence will be ok in this league.

WOW!!!

What a great endorsement that is.

Lets just look into that statement shall we?

Clemence.....will......be.......OK....in...THIS....League!!

(This League being the third tier of English football!!!)

That's enough to make a teetotaler like me...

I like the way that even though we all laugh at these subnormal talking lumps of meat, they support the same club that we do, and as City fans we are by default associated with them. You've always been able to pick Radio Leicester up as far away as Sheffield, and now thanks to the internet the ENTIRE WORLD may now assume that we all sound like people on the phone in

Well, he was our player with the most assists.

Fryatt has 2 goals in 2 game  That is top class form, why people like to hate Fryatt i don't get. Steve Howard wins one header and he's getting 9/10 ...

lol fook off. He won everything on saturday and was definately MoM for me and many of the travelling support. I take it you were too busy down the emirates? :giggle:

He was ironing his £60 Arsenal shirt, whilst watching the game on Sky.

That's true though. Likewise with Howard. Pearson rates them as established and experienced players and they'll play. He's also shown that changes to the team will only be made when essential, so that highlights that he's willing to give players a chance and if they have a bad game, they'll not automatically get dropped. Surely that's a good thing, especially for King and Gradel IMO. Who are trying to establish themselves.

Sadly, I have fears that King and Oakley as a partnership might not be that effective, i've not been impressed by both of them in the same game yet at all this season. But individually they have both done well (Oakley against MK and King away at Stockport). Hopefully the partnership will prosper, but I think Adams might be the creative and attacking midfielder we are lacking in the middle. Oakley has a starting spot pretty much nailed down, which will probably spell curtains for Wesolowski.

No he lost him, or got rid of, as it were. Because he's not very good. And he had a mare on Saturday.

Well rated for the first game and rated along with the rest of the team on the second. His record of results and performances with Leeds is outstanding overall since he returned from injury and you well know it.

Well rated along with the rest of the team. Actually. and rated 5 when most of the team got 6 this week.

Outstanding? No. Above average, probabley, but then this is his level.

Anyway stop brining him up he's gone (weeahh) and he's not a big loss. Get over it.

Absolutely, and our defence has missed him terribly so far this season :whistle:

No-one is talking about or criticising the defence except that we don't have a specialist left back and we certainly don't have a specialist free-kick taker. Free-kicks represent a significant number of potential goals per season and we're missing out and have done since Sheehan left.

There'll be serious regrets if we don't sort it and we miss out on promotion by a whisker. It's not just the free-kicks themselves either. It's the rehearsing of something more imaginative.

And another thing. Why the hell do we persist with these quick free-kicks that invariably gain us no advantage? It's a change that was encouraged in the coaching manuals years ago and one I've never understood.

We take a quickie to try to catch he opposition unawares, to retain possession and to pass the ball (in time) throuh to the penalty area for a possible strike on goal.

Why not cut the risk completely and get the ball into the box anyway. It's not like normal play when players and numbers might be struggling to offer support. With a free-kick everyone can take up their preferred position and the taker has no-one hindering his ability to make an accurate pass. The training ground work should be done on the movement within the box itself. Short free-kicks have far too many chances of breaking down en route especially with the lesser-skilled players of our level.

I intend on texting in next week under the guise of several humorous names.

All I'm saying is that when a text from Hugh.G.Rection gets read out, you know where it came from. Likewise with Ivor Biggen.

You think the RL staff are that stupi............ok.
