"After speaking to one of our reps whose grandson works at the club, it seems as though Levi hasn't been training with the squad since sometime last week, as one of Levi's friends has been ringing the club asking if he had been in contact with them. Someone I work with knows him(same local blah blah blah) and said on Friday night Levi's girlfriend came in the pub in a state cos she couldn't find him, his phone was switched off and no one had seen him for two days. Tis very strange."

But I could understand him being depressed after working so hard to get fit again after his long term injury, playing so well pre-season and then getting virtually sidelined after such a brief first team opportunity. As I suggested a week or two back, perhaps it's time the lad found new surroundings. He's so underrated it's embarrassing and whatever he does I'd doubt he'll get ahead of Dyer in Pearson's eyes. Any player returning from a year off wants games. He's far too young to be sitting weekends out. And if Pearson could find a place for Dickov then I'm damned sure he could have accommodated Porter, especially against Stockport away, assuming he was fit. If other issues apart from football are also troubling the lad then the situation is doubly worrying and I'm amazed, if true, that it's all gone on this long without something being sorted cos Levi is still very young. Sadly I think the regard he's held in among FoxesTalk fans is reflected in the fact that no-one mentioned that he was missing from yesterday's squad. I noticed but didn't post anything because it would only have seemed like a promotional leaflet. I just hope that he's safe and well and soon finds the chance to relaunch his career. Meanwhile I'll try to find out something positive.

Thracian Posted 3 September 2008 Posted 3 September 2008 Well if Dyer is playing as well as he is why should he be dropped? Who's suggesting Dyer should be dropped? But Porter could easily have played on the right instead of Dickov who has done very little to justify his place so far except against Fulham (reportedly). Besides it is not so much a case of dropping people, simply of involving them. He could have gone central midfield for the tiring Oakley at Stockport for instance or on the right side instead of Dickov. Mostly though, I simply hope he's okay. Surely the club would let him go if he's unhappy. Especially the value they seem to place on him.
