Every time he sets Fryatt up for a goal,Fryatt has to buy Howard a big fat cream cake!!!!! :)

The season we signed him, he had 14 goals for Walsall and then went on to score 6 for us, totalling 20 goals. Whether all of those 14 were in the league for Walsall i'm not sure, but the 6 for us definitely were.

I think he has 19 goals the season before but I might be wrong

Its pointless to knock Fryatt espically that he is scoring regularly at moment, yes he have his own faults and he was greedy in only game I attended this season (Lincoln) but if Pearson spend all of his time improving Fryatt's awareness then the team will suffer same as us we should be debating the real weakness in the team rather than arguing all over again about Fryatt, we have argued long and hard about him but the main fact is he does his job quite nicley

Be grateful we don't have likes of Hammond and De Vries playing for us

p.s by arguing I mean debating! :thumbup:

i agree, i think he can reach 20+ this season which would be fantastic as its something yoy really need but without being a bit slefish lol you need goals from your midfield which we also lacked last season but were geting the goals from midfield aswell so its all good. just need to stay consistant.

I would have said disappointing rather than utter disaster.

As said above, his goals-to-games ratio is good so far this season. If he has ten shots and puts just one away every game, I don't think you can ask much more of him. I have no doubt he'd be criticised if he wasn't shooting.

We beat Hartlepool. But if we had lost, Fryatt would have been on the receiving end for his selfishness and weak shots at goal.

If there's one area he needs to improve it's his decision making and get the balance right between being selfish and unselfish. There'll be games where we are chasing an equalizer and I just hope Fryatt doesn't opt to go for goal whilst having a team mater in a better position - The anti-Fryatt brigade will have a field day.

Listening to the Moan In and reading through posts on here, a lot of people seems to be on his balls for this, that and the other. The lad has 7 goals so far and we're not in October yet.

He's a poor mans Adebayor - needs a lot of chances to score, but I will put my neck on the line and bet that he'll score 20 or more this season. If he fail to dos so, the beers are on me at the FT game in May/June.

Im with you on this one Kareem and have allways backed Fryatt, i backed him in the summer even after a poor season last year and have regular arguements with Thracian, Demon and Daggers over him as they all slagged him off in the summer and even have a beer based bet with Thracian on who scores the most this season between Fryatt and Dodds at Vale!! mmmmmmm Guess whos gonna win that one, Thracian didnt have the bottle to go for a £50 bet even though he raved about Doods!! HA HA!!

The only way Frayatt wont get 20 goals this year will be if he gets a bad injury, simple as that so dont worry Karreem, you wont be buying many ales!!

Lets see if the mouthy Demon as the balls to back his beloved DJ and put his money where is mouth is!!!

Even I am being objective on his shortcomings. But this season I feel he hasn't got the credit he deserves, and I'm not even a fan of his.

Sir Matty is the least of our worries right now (I doubt we have any worries at all at the moment) but he seems to be the subject of most conversation, many slagging him off.

He has a lot of shit to make up for, and he's in the process of doing it.

I have simply stated that I wondered if DJ had a similar run in the side, as Fryatt has, if he would have scored a similar number of goals.

I've already told Thracian that if crappy Fryatt get's 20 goals this season that I would gladly buy him a couple of pints.

DJ & Fryatt are both league one strikers, this is there level so you could play either one & they would push for 20 goals!

Which one I'd play, I don't really know or care (as long as were winning :D ) but I would argue that DJ would compliment Howard better due to his reasonable pace!

Or you could just fook Howard off & play them both, but I don't see much of a partnership forming if we were to go down that route!!!
