Webbo Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 Baring in mind that there are likely to be changes for the JPT, what team do you'll think we should play on Tuesday? I'd go for; Hendo.O'Neil, Hobbs, Morrison, Powell.Adams, King, Berner, Gradel.Hayles, Fryatt. I'd try Gradel on the left and give a run out to some of the fringe players.
JoeyB Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 Don't forget we HAVE to field 7 players who have played at least 70% off our games HendoGilbert/ Morrison Tunchev Kisnorbo MattockAdams King Oakly DyerFryatt Howard
Joe. Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 Henderson Berner Hobbs Tunchev Mattock Adams Oakley King Dyer Fryatt Hayles
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 I don't know whether or not big changes would benefit us. The squad's confidence would've improved with yesterday's win, we need to try and build some momentum. The only changes I'd make would be Adams in for Gradel, O' Neill in for Hobbs, and I'd put McKay on the bench, give him a crack in the last 20 minutes or so.
harpendenfox Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 I'd like to see a little experimentation on Tuesday and Saturday Hendo O'Neill Morrison Hobbs Powell Adams Porter Oakley Dyer Fryatt Hayles think Howard would benefit from a rest. Then I'd hope Gilbert can return on Saturday, when I'd also bring in Tunchev to partner Morrison, see how Porter plays with King, and play Berner at left back, with Dickov up front with Hayles if he's fit. Wouldn't mind giving Fryatt a place on the bench for either or both games to keep him fresh too. Keep Mattock on the bench to ease him back into full match fitness. Would love the OS to give us an update on Campbell's injury and possible return date. Have I missed it or has there been almost complete radio silence on him from the club? Seems like a good chance to give Porter a run, but will that centre midfield be a little lightweight in the tackling department?
RowlattsFox Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 I'd put a pretty strong team out for this and we can rest people against Stevenage. Henderson Tunchev Hobbs Kisnorbo Berner Adams King Oakley Gradel Hayles Fryatt Subs: Martin, Morrison, Dyer, Mattock, Howard I would say O'Neill or Cox at right back but there probably going to play on Monday night, hopefully Chambers might make the bench but again he might play monday.
DB11 Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 As long as Hendo is in net whatever team we put out should be good enough (within reason....)
Thracian Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 I'd play Billy McKay for a start. He's had a really consistent career in a City shirt and must be pissed off doing next-to sod-all this season. He's never been seriously involved and, like Porter, has just had his career put on indefinite hold. Who else? Lee Cox at right-back. This lad's alright, everything the City fans like in that he'll tackle someone out of a game. Okay, he's not that special going forward but what's that matter? We can admire his tackling and he can give it to someone else and that should be an improvement on wat we've got just now cos I've never seen a right-back try to play two 10-yard passes and miss by the proverbial mile both times. There won't be too many youth players in the team because of tomorrow's FA Youth Cup match so Porter's the only other obvious candidate but I wouldn't count on it. Something's gone seriously wrong there and the club have gone all Elvis Hammond on the matter. Not that the fans seem to care so why the hell should I? Adams might get the chance of a start, to see if he's everything the fans are saying he is over 90 minutes. And what about Morrison too? We're contesting a promotion and I'm starting to edge toward Daggers standpoint of saying this whole fecking circus dosn't matter. Would anyone want to play at that souless athletics stadium anyway? First team regulars can only get injured and it will do the so-called standby's the world of good to experience what it's like to play the game in a footballing hellhole. Cos if that doesn't motivate them to lift their standards nothing will.
Fox You Forest Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 I'd put a pretty strong team out for this and we can rest people against Stevenage. I agree with that, Playing Rotherham and Stevange in a week how depressing. Henderson O'Neill Tunchev Morrison Mattock Adams Oakley King Dyer Hayles Fryatt
lcfcliam Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 Paul Henderson Jack Hobbs Patrick Kisnorbo Aleksandar Tunchev Joe Mattock Nicky Adams Matt Oakley Andy King Lloyd Dyer Steve Howard Matty Fryatt Subs: David Martin Barry Hayles Max Gradel Bruno Berner Michael Morrison
Sods Posted 3 November 2008 Posted 3 November 2008 Can see Levi being involved. I would like to see. Henderson O'Neil Morrison Tunchev Berner Gradel Adams Oakley Porter Howard Hayles Subs: Fryatt, Another Striker (youth or DJ/Dickov, haven't got a clue if their ready or not), Dyer, Hobbs, Oakley
Unabomber Posted 3 November 2008 Posted 3 November 2008 Henderson O'Neil Hobbs Tunchev Mattock Adams Oakley King Dyer Fryatt Hayles Subs: Martin Berner Kisnorbo Gradel Dickov
Sods Posted 3 November 2008 Posted 3 November 2008 King looks tired to me, Dyer could probably do with a rest. The team on Saturday could be interesting.
Ric Flair Posted 3 November 2008 Posted 3 November 2008 Henderson O'Neill Morrison Berner Powell Adams Kishishev King Gradel Hayles Chambers Subs: Dickov, Fryatt, Martin, Mattock, Hobbs
davieG Posted 3 November 2008 Posted 3 November 2008 Henderson O'Neill Morrison - needs a game Hobbs - needs a game in his natural position to regain some confidence Berner - needs 90 minutes Oakley Gradel Adams - These 3 to move all across the pitch changing places Porter McKay Hayles Subs: Dickov, Fryatt, Martin, Powell, Kisnorbo I guess a very mobile 451 and I'd expect to see goals from the midfield It probably doesn't satisfy the 70% rule.
Fox92 Posted 3 November 2008 Posted 3 November 2008 David Martin Luke O'Neill A natural left back Jack Hobbs Play him in his natural position Micheal Morrison Bruno Berner Llyod Dyer Try him on the right or even behind the front two Nicky Adams Matt Oakley Joe Mattock Try him left midfield Matty Fryatt Steve Howard Subs: Henderson, Tunchev, King, Dickov, Hayles Not sure about that rule though
Uncle Albert Posted 3 November 2008 Posted 3 November 2008 O'Neil is playing tonight I think so I can't see him playing two games in two nights. Might be wrong but... Martin Hobbs Kisnorbo Morrison MattockAdams King Berner GradelHoward Fryatt Luke O'Neill A natural left back Is he?
