martyn Posted 4 December 2008 Posted 4 December 2008 Kaamark, Zagorakis was actually fairly average for us IMO.
Sods Posted 4 December 2008 Posted 4 December 2008 Pontus or Theo? Pontus, Theo just behind. Pontus was just class, did his job for the team. Techniqually brilliant.
Joe. Posted 4 December 2008 Posted 4 December 2008 You can never forget Theo Zagorakis in that goalkeeper's kit.
Lillehamring Posted 4 December 2008 Posted 4 December 2008 pontus...easy- i don't remeber theo actually getting that many games, which says a lot about the quality of our midfield, back then.
lildave3 Posted 4 December 2008 Posted 4 December 2008 I seem to remember Theo and Savage holding it in the corner in the closing stages against Villa in the cup semi final at Filbert Street. I think it was him anyway. Loved it, Rockin' All Over The World afterwards, on my old mans shoulders. Ace.
lavrentis Posted 4 December 2008 Posted 4 December 2008 Theo everytime. He played in goal! Does anyone know where I can get that picture of him in that Green kit please. I couldn't find it on google.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 4 December 2008 Posted 4 December 2008 Theo everytime. He played in goal! Does anyone know where I can get that picture of him in that Green kit please. I couldn't find it on google. Mr. Biased
lavrentis Posted 4 December 2008 Posted 4 December 2008 Mr. Biased Am i heck...............................................
Raj Posted 4 December 2008 Posted 4 December 2008 Pontus. No competition. He owned The Middlesboro' strikers in the Cup!
GLC Posted 4 December 2008 Posted 4 December 2008 not according to this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pontus_K%C3%A5mark
Durnerz Posted 4 December 2008 Posted 4 December 2008 Who could forget Theo's goal vs Man Utd, if you ignore the fact we lost 6-2 Peter Schmeichael never gets beaten from that range!
clazkel Posted 4 December 2008 Posted 4 December 2008 Theo never really got a proper run in the team tbh to show what he could do, and when Pontus marked Juniniho (not sure how to spell it) he was outstanding
Mickyblueeyes Posted 5 December 2008 Posted 5 December 2008 Pontus Kaamark was the better player but Theo wins it for me for the simple reason he managed to pull this: well played young man, well played!
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 5 December 2008 Posted 5 December 2008 Theo everytime. He played in goal! Does anyone know where I can get that picture of him in that Green kit please. I couldn't find it on google.
Monk Posted 5 December 2008 Posted 5 December 2008 As much as I loved Theo, Pontus was always the better player.... he quietly man marked world class wingers and strikers out of the game week in week out. Theo didn't half score some great goals though... it's a shame that we had such a strong midfield at the time, because he was cetainly good enough... even though he sometimes used to hog the ball like David Oldfield.
breadandcheese Posted 5 December 2008 Posted 5 December 2008 Pontus - the best right-back I've seen in a City shirt, better than Gary Mills or anyone else I can think of.
