Also, does anyone else suspect that this means little in terms of whether he stays or goes in January? But at least it means he won't leave for (virtually) nothing in the summer.

So what if Matty gets an offer he can't refuse in the summer! the Club will at least now make a few bob. So the lads now got nothing to prove? No, except that he's the Leagues top scorer, he's consistent and he's maturing ... enough to take him to a much higher level !! (hopefully carrying the City with him) ... We can't expect all the players to actually 'Love the Club' as many of us do, but having a talent willing to carry the Club 'flame' is a great thing and should be applauded.
