Got tickets in Brum for Everything Everything's Get to Heaven 10yr album release anniversary tour. Will take any opportunity to see them live (except spending 70 quid+ to see them support The Wombats). Still fucjing hate brum and wish some of these gigs would come to Leicester.

Think they are the only band I bother going to see live. Bought tickets to that kasabian homecoming thing last year and went home after EE finished.

That's good to hear as they're supporting Bloc Party in Brighton in July which I'm going to. Haven't really listened to them so I'll give them a go

Went to see Jeffrey Lewis at the International Arts Centre last night.

Really good, shame the crowd wasn't a bit bigger. Seen him loads of times over the years, and couldn't remember when it started, and then mentions the first time he played in Leicester in 2002 at Sumo of all places, and of course, I was there.

Feels simultaneously like a lifetime ago and about 2 years.

Always amazed and slightly in awe of acts that cannot be making much of a living but just keep on ploughing on

Whats the place like as a venue?

James, Happy Mondays and The Lightning Seeds in Colchester in August.

4 tickets for the price of 3 when I bought them so pretty good value at £36 each.

Pretty good. Hadn't set foot in the place for probably 20 years, and it was smaller than I remember. Think I read capacity is 320 or something like that which sounds bigger than it is.

The room is squarer than the Musician so it's easier to get a good view despite the low stage. Sound was OK, and it's a lot cleaner than the Charlotte ever was and the toilets certainly less of a threat to human life

Yeah having seen photos I worried the stage was very low.

Saw Supergrass last night in Brum on their I Should Coco 30th Anniversary tour. Such a good band with so many great songs. They played the whole of I Should Coco and then came back out for a load of their other singles. Great fun!

I wanted to go to Nottingham for the date there but I was wrong footed by how quickly it sold out - I've realised now that an act petering out even in part from lack of interest does not equal an indifferent welcome back when the inevitable reunion comes round.

In a parallel universe they're Britain's favourite band and Oasis are nowhere

Went to the Pixies in Brum last night.

Must confess to not owning any of their post reunion material, which was OK but didn't grab me.

Checking out reviews after the event suggests not huge amounts of love out there for the more recent albums

Just got tickets for Wolf Alice -Birm

Was interested until I saw it was an arena

I'm looking forward to going to see The Illegal Eagles next Saturday at the DeMont.

I never got to see the original band and apparently these are very good with musicians from The Blow Monkeys and Dr Hook.

£40 a ticket for 3 hours of my favourite style of music.

Paul Heaton at Bramall Lane tonight.

Prefer him playing an arena, sound wasn’t perfect but he was great.

Also a reminder why you should steer clear of home town gigs that just turn into giant piss ups for people with very little interest in the actual band.

He was on form though.

”What about yesterday then…… Arsenal Women beating Barcelona was a upset”

After introducing the band and the team they support. “I’m Paul Heaton and I ****in hate football”
