Brainy Posted 3 January 2009 Posted 3 January 2009 for all you know Pearson and Milan had a replacement lined up and have known he'd be leaving (although not who to) for ages
Simi Posted 3 January 2009 Posted 3 January 2009 Oakley too busy in Nottingham looking over his Forest contract.
Koke Posted 3 January 2009 Posted 3 January 2009 Oakley is probably fed up of making the 25 minute drive to training from his home in Nottingham.
Flynny Posted 3 January 2009 Posted 3 January 2009 Having thought some more, why would he risk swapping positions at this point? We'll almost certainly be in at least the same league next season and can offer him better wages. Also - why would we sell? We don't need to or have to, unless we need to get rid of his wages. If he was playing like he was last season I could see a case for getting him off the books, but for now he's more than earning his money.
Katy Posted 3 January 2009 Posted 3 January 2009 I don't want him to go, we need a settled side and he is so influential for us. Forest can do one.
Rich Fox Posted 3 January 2009 Posted 3 January 2009 Pearson said in his after match report that he had rested him, it wouldnt make any sense to go to forest almost as stupid as hume leaving us for barnsley. But maybe its because of billy davies, think its all bulshit to be honest.
keithweller Posted 3 January 2009 Posted 3 January 2009 nothing anywhere else on the web about this? just checked the f***st boards and nothing there either. may i be the first to call bs on this.
Corky Posted 3 January 2009 Posted 3 January 2009 I thought he needed a rest, and this was an opportunity to give him that. Hopefully nothing more, and he's back for Leyton Orient.
Uncle Albert Posted 3 January 2009 Posted 3 January 2009 I dont think Pearson would of just rested Oakley for today so I think there might be something in this. If Oakley goes it will be a sad day in my life. Billy Davies is a willy puller. <_<

Bert Posted 4 January 2009 Author Posted 4 January 2009 I love it when people draw massive assumptions out of nothing, he's hardly played in the cup this season due to his injuries, so why does that mean he's off, and also why would he neccesarily go to forest, a side that looks set for relegation, from a side that looks set for promotion?Nice one mate. Many people will back me up, on that i have contacts at the club, so for most people it would've hardly been an assumption.... Also read on to Daggers post I've quoted. Poor Steve?Poor Bert! He started this rumour thread Ha, just to let everyone know - this thread was clearly a wind up, and was to see what reactions i could get from people, I was feeling a bit of a meanie y'see.
