coale39 Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 Hows Kisnorbo getting on? edit Ah just checked the Latest section.
FilboFox Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 Well even if he is out for the rest of the season, we are still good enough to keep this promotion push up... I mean just look at the other teams... yes, they have some good spells but I can't see us falling so dramatically from the top that we can't keep up a real push for the title.
Poakey Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 Berner can play CB.Steve Howard can be an emergency CB if needed. has played their before. Still have: Hobbs Morrison Berner. Gilbert/ Powell can play their too. Tunchev is good but not irreplaceable. Theres enough quality there for League 1.No disputing its a big blow though.
morris1234 Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 if its cruciate ligaments then the best we can hope for is 6-10 weeks.
Thracian Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 Theres enough quality there for League 1.No disputing its a big blow though. Where is this quality you talk of? Look at our results when Kisnorbo last played. Niether Hobbs, Morrison or Kisnorbo are the fastest or the best as passing. I've said so many times, defenders need many qualities but, above all, they did to be quick both physically and mentally.
martyn Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 Not sure Matt Elliott or Gerry Taggart were reknowned for their devastating acceleration.
Ikon_Klow Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 if its cruciate ligaments then the best we can hope for is 6-10 weeks. and the rest. I have snapped my ACL twice now. The quickest the best surgeons ever offer to get back to full mobility is 6 months. It took me a year and then I snapped the graft second game back. Off to have it repaired for a second time now soon however this time they need to steel replacement tisse from other knee to but in my shagged knee. Rubbish
Bert Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 What I'll say is, if it was cruciate it would've been strapped up and put in a splint or a brace. The physio was putting strong pressure on knee when he was moving it about to see what the injury was.
martyn Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 I'm guessing he was simply suggesting a best case scenario would be a sprain or partial tear. Certainly this could be a possibilty as it is more painful to walk with a partially torn ACL rather than completely ruptured (after initial swelling decreases). Ikon: Can they not get a hamstring graft from your other leg...I thought it was widely implemented now and agreed that hamstring grafts offer the best hope for long term stability?

He might have been doing that horrible test where they immobilse the knee and test the lower leg for hyperextension.
Babylon Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 Not sure Matt Elliott or Gerry Taggart were reknowned for their devastating acceleration. Which is why they always played in a three at the back.

Most of the games Kisnorbo played Hobbs was at right back , that's not say we wont suffer but I think they're still good enough to get us promoted.

FilboFox Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 morris1234... love that bit of film you've got for you avatar... fab! But back to Tunch... we'll miss him, no doubt about that... but we can cope without him so it's not the be all or end all of the season whether he's fit or not.

I had hamstring first from my left left for a left knee ACL. This time I have changed surgeons who preferres to use Patella tendons. This surgeon did Wes Brown's knees and a number of other major footballers. I have looked at this in detail (as you can imagine) and there is a real diversification of opinion between surgeons on whether hamstrings or patella is best. My two friends have both had patella grafts and they are fine with grat results. I had hamstring which failed and it took at least 6 months for my hamstring to stop hurting like buggery! Who knows. I will let you know in six months time!
martyn Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 Hehe, well my LCL graft was from Left hamstring and ACL from Right hamstring so your lack of success is filling me with huge confidence!
Ikon_Klow Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 Hehe, well my LCL graft was from Left hamstring and ACL from Right hamstring so your lack of success is filling me with huge confidence! I am sure it will be fine. To be honest I was a poor patient first time round was a bit too occupied with work rather than physio. Taking it more seriously this time. Got to have a micro fracture as well this time which sounds a bit rubbish. Did you have one at all? Interested to know about the after effects of one.
Ric Flair Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 Alexander Tunchev excruciates knee ligaments and replaces them with unbreakable specimens. He'll be fine.
The Bear Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 Our LB George Elokobi is out for the season after damaging ALL his knee ligaments to some degree. It was a very innocuous stumble and fall. He was walking around the training ground without crutches the day after apparently!

Qualitys?I know there all capable players at this level.I dont go to matches to write essays on players What cover do other teams have at the back in this league?I bet its not as good as that list. I'd be more worried if Fryatt other then Tunch was injured put it that way, what cover do we have their?
Guest Chocolate Teapot Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 PANIC PANIC PANIC I've seen enough of Hobbs and Morrison in a game that I wasn't at and I'll refuse to mention that Kisnorbo was part of the 2nd best partnership in the championship last season. WE'RE DOOMED I TELL YOU Unlike you to overreact, in my opinion Kisnorbo, Hobbs and Morrison are all better than anything else I've seen at League one level and at the start of the season i felt morrison was a better bet than tunchev, although obviously I've changed my opinion on that, as he's got better and better recently.
Jonezy Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 You can have Darren Ward for £500k. Please! Throw Davies in there and we have a deal.... On Tunch. Things happens, we can't do anything about it, but hope he will return soon. I'm sure Hobbs and Morrison will prove a good enough pairing at this level, and Kisnorbo should be back in contention soon. Maybe we need some cover in form of a loanie, if its possible or give Worley a shout. We just have to deal with it, it is what it is. My biggest fear is, that the injury is so bad, that it can put next season in jeopardy for the Tunch. Heads up!
