Shroomjuice Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 Sentanta news is stateing Knee ligament injury
carterfox90 Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 just hope without the tunch at the back we are not on the edge of our first major blip this season get back soon
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 God i hope he is all right and wont miss any/many games
Bert Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 Hamstring? Knee. was just one of them things really, a silly fall that could turn into something big.
lildave3 Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 Hamstring from the way he fell?! If he's ****ed, we're ****ed.
Cropwellfox Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 Horrible news and at a potentially terrible time of the season, with league games now coming fast. If Tunch is out for any length of time we're going to have to get a CB in, can't rely on Morrison and Hobbs week in week out, and the points gained in the games Kisnorbo played speak for themselves...We were lucky to get the one win we did with him anywhere near the team. A very bad night and one I think will have far bigger implications for the rest of the season.
ozleicester Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 If we had stayed in the tinpot paint cup..this would never have happened, fancy wasting our players and risking injury on something a stupid as the FA cup
dandannieldanok Posted 15 January 2009 Author Posted 15 January 2009 If we can't cope without Tunchev then we should seriously question our promotion credentials. Of course we'll miss him but I can't see it being absolutely crucial to our chances.
shen Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 Richard Naylor has just signed on loan with Leeds. A player we could've done with? And re: Kisnorbo, it's slightly unfair to judge him solely on the few games he's played for us this season. On his day, I'd have him over Hobbs and Morrison any time!

Of course we'll miss him but I can't see it being absolutely crucial to our chances. that's a fair point, i don't think it is so much that he is the only player good enough, but more the possibility of the squad believing this, now is the time for NP to show his quality and make sure doubt and fear don't set in, especially if we struggle in our first game without him. i'm sure morrison and hobbs will be up for it and, given 3 or 4 games together, could develop a good understanding. i have heard good things about both of them individually, now it is time for them to show what they can do as a pairing.

At least it happened in the transfer window. If he's done his knee ligaments we are talking six weeks minimum we need quality cover. Time to splash the wages cash MM and get a loan player in quicksmart.
Ric Flair Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 Tunchev is a warrior and without doubt one of the reasons we are doing so well, I am absolutely gutted he's injured and let's hope it's not as serious as it could be. This could be a big blow, but as Dan says, if Tunchev is the difference between us winning the league or not, then our team and squad really aren't strong enough.
Darkzzz_ Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 i don't think it is so much that he is the only player good enough, but more the possibility of the squad believing this, now is the time for NP to show his quality and make sure doubt and fear don't set in, especially if we struggle in our first game without him. This is the key. I am sure he will handle the situation well. I have been worried about the depth of the squad prior to this injury to be honest. Tunch has been our best player this season in my opinion and he will be missed but we certainly have enough quality to go on and get promoted, I am gutted but I am 100% certain we will win this league.
Number 6 Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 We may concede a few more, but we have been sticking them in the other end anyway. Winning by 1 is still winning.
davieG Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 Sure Tunch will be missed but before people start suggesting that we splash the cash remember you're not going to get anyone near as good - we're in Division 3 After all Martin and Hobbs, who many seem to lack faith are loanees from premier clubs so anyone we get in this window is unlikely to be better than Hobbs or Morrison We may well need some cover but I doubt they'd be seen as being better than these two so I reckon the doubters amongst you had better get used to putting your faith in them.
Unit Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 should've kept n'gotty! on a side note, a man has just 'ran' past my house in the most hilarious manner.. it was more of a walk that kind of blended into a slow motion run... i'm impressed

I'm sure there is someone in the championship we could get, Pearson seemingly doesn't rate Worley meaning we don't have any Central Defenders available that Pearson will play besides Hobbs & Morrison, even if we dip into the loan market again for a short term replacement we need someone should've kept n'gotty! on a side note, a man has just 'ran' past my house in the most hilarious manner.. it was more of a walk that kind of blended into a slow motion run... i'm impressed N'Gotty is still here but his achillies is fooked
Tilley Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 Great. If it as serious as the radio were making out, then we are well and truly fucked. Morrison & Hobbs at the back don't fill me great faith & we will have to bring in cover if he is out for a while. Would like to have seen Tunch rested last night, but oh well, he wasn't & now he's injured. <_<
Manwell Pablo Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 Are Kisnorbo's knee's still bolloxed as well? as Nick said we're looking at six weeks minimum here more than likely longer, just hope it's not cruciate.

Jimmy Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 Maybe but we wont get anyone near as good as Tunch. that's not my point, we need a central defender as we currently have only 2 that Pearson has shown any faith in available, what you said is like saying we'll never get a striker as good a Lineker, of course not but it doesn't stop you signing someone who is up to the standard of the division we're playing in to add much needed depth to a vitally important area of the team
