Ultra Posted 30 January 2009 Share Posted 30 January 2009 I dunno... have you seen how shit he is lately. Yeah, his manager doesn't rate him very highly - except when other clubs put bids in..

maddog Posted 30 January 2009 Share Posted 30 January 2009 Leicester are to make a £250,00 bid for Hull defender Wayne Brown. (Daily Star) Dont always dismiss what you read in the papers Not sure if its 100% correct but we have signed him on loan, well played Daily Star
Ozwin Posted 30 January 2009 Share Posted 30 January 2009 I wish we'd stop signing players on loan. >_> I know it minimises risk and all that but come on!
Shrenchel Posted 30 January 2009 Share Posted 30 January 2009 I wish we'd stop signing players on loan. >_> I know it minimises risk and all that but come on! Come on what?! The policy has got us to the top of the league... We've got an option of Brown if his football turns out to be as good as his face, I don't see the problem... The Stig Posted 30 January 2009 Share Posted 30 January 2009 Personally I dont think Pearson is very good at communication to the public/press he is dry and doesnt really show any character but he has done OK so far with his loan signings lets hope it doesnt go pearshaped with chopping and changing around.and no im not a muppet you dingo It's amazing the level people will stoop too to critisise. We are 10 points clear at the top of the league yet people still complain about him. Holloway was great at communicating with the press and he was fcuking great wasn't he. Would love to see Fulop back...how about Scott Sinclair from Chelsea? Apparently some championship clubs are looking at him on loan. Would give Lloyd a kick in the ass on the left wing Which he needs why exactly? Neither are going to happen, Fulop is getting regular games in the Premier League. As for the loan singing debate... - We get a better standard of players who wouldn't normally play for us but are happy to if it means getting experience and playing with a winning side. - We therefore (hopefully) get out of this league at first attempt which is far from easy - We move onwards and upwards Yes this method means he has work to do in the summer but what has he done so far that gives us any reason to doubt him. MC Prussian Posted 30 January 2009 Share Posted 30 January 2009 god that shirt is awful, i mean really really awful. It's awfully cheap in looks, but awfully rewarding in its expensiveness. (What an awful sentence) Brown in Blue I like. Better than Lilywhite, anyway.
Lancsfox Posted 30 January 2009 Share Posted 30 January 2009 Friend of mine is a Preston Season ticket holder says Brown was great when on Loan with them, not spectacular but a good solid player that communicates and organises the defence, he says they were on a bad run till he went there and that stopped as soon as he played for them. He's gutted city have him

soley118 Posted 31 January 2009 Share Posted 31 January 2009 Name: Wayne BrownNationality: English Date of Birth: 20/08/1977 Height: 6' 0" (183cm) Weight: 12st 6lbs (78.99kg) Previous Clubs: Preston, Watford, Colchester, Ipswich Town, Gillingham, Wimbledon, QPR Position: Defender The Tigers paid a club record fee for a defender in July 2007 when Barking-born Wayne agreed to move north in a £450,000 deal. A centre-back and natural leader, he teamed-up again with former Colchester United colleague Richard Garcia at the KC Stadium. Both have been star performers in the recent Us' success story with Wayne being the bedrock at the heart of their defence. He has particular reason to be proud of United's remarkable first-ever Championship campaign last season as he played in every minute of the Essex club's 46 games. He joined Colchester in the summer of 2004, following a successful loan spell at the end of the 2003-04 season. Wayne began his career at Ipswich Town where he spent eight years at Portman Road including four Premiership appearances during the 2000-01 season. Having generally found first team opportunities with the Tractor Boys hard to come by, he also enjoyed loan spells at Queens Park Rangers, Wimbledon, Watford and Gillingham. Wayne, who reached his 30th birthday during the opening month of the 2007-08 season, joined the Tigers on a three-year contract. He became the 900th player to make their City debut in league and cup matches while a personal highlight was his goal in the 3-1 win against his former club Ipswich Town in September. Otherwise, Wayne's partnership with Michael Turner proved be the bedrock of the successful team which, in reaching the Premier League via the Play-Offs, equalled the Tigers' club record of finishing third at the Championship level. Notably, his presence was sorely missed when suffering calf and hamstring injuries in March and Apr IM HARD Looks abit like Ross Kemp
Ultra Posted 1 February 2009 Share Posted 1 February 2009 Radio Leicester suggested he lacks a bit of match-fitness, which may explain why he wasn't in yesterday's squad. But he may be needed sooner rather than later, especially with Windass and Hughes looming on Saturday.
