I_miss_wembley_finals Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 Not sure if this is the best place for this but I'm planning on buying a season ticket for next year, since the deadline has now passed for renewals I thought it about time I checked the prices again.......seems that in certain areas of the ground it is cheaper to buy an adult plus under 8 ticket than it is to buy an adult ticket on its own. For example, J1, J2 & J3: Adult = £473, Adult & 1 under 8 = £465. Season ticket prices Presumably someone has picked this up before, just seems ridiculous to me, I accept there are reasons for making it a virtual no brainer to buy children season tickets (i.e. once they get into the habit and a bit older mums and dads are pestered when it becomes more expensive) but to make it cheaper seems ridiculous?
CosbehFox Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 Depends on the Matchday prices which based on the eventual 15% increase in ST prices will probably start at £25 with higher prices for A graded games. We haven't had a graded game since we were last in the Premiership I think!
Sir Fynwy Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 I haven't renewed. Have that world! You made baby Jesus cry!
MC Prussian Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 Generally, people who do due dilligence are not stupid enough to fall for things like that. On the other hand, it sends a good strong message about future income. A temporary cash flow boost is not (yet) illegal. If that manoeuver with paying ST this early is connected to such a move, then I'm not going to comment any further. It could even be a part of due diligence (although I know too little about the procedure).
Mickey O'Neil Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 I've just renewed my ST this afternoon at last season's price. I'm hoping I get those bloody P'boro tickets now.
davieG Posted 16 March 2009 Author Posted 16 March 2009 We haven't had a graded game since we were last in the Premiership I think! And we've been crap since then.
Dr The Singh Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 Great response, Mandaric and city got the funds and quick.....it shows a great loyalty to the club!!! I may be getting a season ticket next week, so you feckers will see me alot more at the ground!!
Monk Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 Have to say I'm amazed at how many they have sold given the shit marketing campaign, fair play to them I guess. I was thinking they'd have sold so few that they'd have to backtrack on their original rules.
Tilley Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 I haven't renewed. Have that world! Yeah, you tell 'um!

Not illegal at all, but entirely visable as temporary and therefore pointless in terms of making the club look a better buy.
Katy Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 Not bad at all. As a lot Im not renewing drama queens that skulked down to the ticket office over the weekend Id imagine. Nope
Asha Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 he should spend £4.1m on Cox from swindon I say Steal of the century at that price.
Fox in a Box Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 Steal of the century at that price. Actually I dont disagree.
davieG Posted 16 March 2009 Author Posted 16 March 2009 I wonder what the actual number is. I'm sure we had 13K this season, 10k is not 95% of 13K So make your own number up, perhaps like LCFC have done
