Fox You Forest Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 Haven't you seen him commentate on 20/20 matches? There's some rain coming from Reading!
Brainy Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 Yeah he has a monotonous voice but comes out with some classic lines. Is that that Crewe player in your avatar?
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 Slater, Warne and Benaud are all class, I think it's that Jim Maxwell bloke I hate. In fact I take back what I said, as Benaud is an absolute genius.I also hate Siddle, I really really dislike him and it's the first time I've seen him bowl today, seems like an aggressive little oik. In other news, I played against Hilfenhaus last year in a game for my uni as he was at a club, got bounced by him first ball, second ball hit me in the grill, third I cut him for four with a streaky cut and then had my offstump sent down the M56 by a ball which jagged away. He is seriously quick. In relation to Siddle that's why I love him always going flat knacker bowling, consitently bowling agressive and fast weather it be his first or 30th over for the day. That and his a Victorian who was a woodchopper before he became a pro cricketer.
Milky Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 Fooking hell what a shite start. I really can't see us winning this year. All this pre match hype up about Brett Lee's injury love in went to the players heads.I hate to say it but on paper Australia are twice the team we are. You don't watch much cricket do you. This wicket is cutting up already, so monty and swann should be licking their lips. Big toss to win.
Edmund Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 Is that that Crewe player in your avatar? No You don't watch much cricket do you. This wicket is cutting up already, so monty and swann should be licking their lips. Big toss to win. I watch plenty of cricket thank you very much. Ive just been very pessimistic about our chances of winning the ashes this year as ive always felt the Australian team is stronger on paper. Of course I want our boys to win and hope they prove me wrong and we have a repeat of the last Ashes on home soil. I know its very early days but it was a terrible start considering how much we needed a good start to get the ball rolling. At least Pieterson and Collingwood look like there cementing a good partnership. Also good to hear the Barmy Army on song as per usual.
Fox You Forest Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 Good session, just what was needed. Fifties a piece.
Edmund Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 Good session, just what was needed. Fifties a piece. Yep Im glad ive been made to eat my own words. Really thought it was downhill after that start. Hope the weather doesn't ruin it for us.

You had a complete spaz attack cus it was 100-3 on the first morning. It'll be a long summer if you keep reacting like that at every turn. Calm down dear.
Bert Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 Anyone got a link? That one boosmanana posted is bullshit.
Corky Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 Pietersen and Collingwood both gone, we need strong innings from Prior and Flintoff now.
James. Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 I'm still pretty pleased with this. Flintoff and Prior will hopefully put on a few plus Swann and Broad can both bat a bit so we should be looking for somewhere around 400. It's good to see a line up with batsmen right the way down the order.

SamL Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 Anyone got a link? That one boosmanana posted is bullshit. Try www.cricshow.com, usually works for me.
Fosse Boy Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 WTF was KP thinking?! When he does things like that, he's a Saffer and not an Englishman.
soley118 Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 Im gonna try and watch every game I think 350 would be a resonable score considering we only have 5 wickets left
Fox You Forest Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 Judging by that picture it's going to let rip in a few days time.
Porky Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 Anyone else reading Bumbles twitter? I am! Brilliant! Nice to see Freddie playing well! 50 for Prior too..awesome.
Fox You Forest Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 I am! Brilliant! Nice to see Freddie playing well! 50 for Prior too..awesome. "Beefy's announced himself, I've opened the window" Looking very healthy at the minute.
Corky Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 Get through to the close at 335-5 roughly and it's been a good day I think.
Corky Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 Get through to the close at 335-5 roughly and it's been a good day I think. Just after I type that..........
