Guest Bilo Posted 26 July 2009 Posted 26 July 2009 James' Co-Driver :w00t:  Ludicrously hot. Absolutely fecking stunning girl. The real hero though? Hammond's co-driver.
Libertine Posted 26 July 2009 Posted 26 July 2009 The program after with Ben Fogle was miles better. Start a thread about that then. Duh!
Matt Posted 15 November 2009 Posted 15 November 2009 Starts again tonight. 9pm for some reason. Not expecting great things, the last few series haven't been that good but that said it's still one of the better things on TV.
Tommeh Posted 15 November 2009 Posted 15 November 2009 fook YES! Didn't expect it back on just yet! Don't give a shit about people saying its getting worse, staged etc. It's still the best thing on TV and Clarkson and May are two of the biggest heros in British culture - IMO.
Samilktray Posted 15 November 2009 Posted 15 November 2009 Itll be crap if its anything like the last series.
Tommeh Posted 15 November 2009 Posted 15 November 2009 Itll be crap if its anything like the last series. Whilst I agree it probably peaked around series 9,10 and 11 with the America, africa trips and various races, it's still great. Problem is people now come on expecting a comedy show and to be rolling around laughing at Clarkson falling over. They really should respect it for what it is, a bloody good motoring programme. Watch the earlier episodes from 2002 of the new format and it's ridiculous how far it's come.

I just feel like they are trying to hard to be funny now, and some of the things are quite clearly staged thus trying to make it into abit of a comedy show not people expecting a comedy show, Before when it was genuinely funny it didn't seem like they were trying to be funny or staging things. As I said though even if they are trying to be funny or staging things still by far one of the best things on TV.
Tommeh Posted 15 November 2009 Posted 15 November 2009 Head to Romania in three drop-top supercars: an Aston Martin DBS Volante, a Ferrari California and a Lamborghini Gallardo Convertible. They're looking for the fabled mountain highway built by former president Ceausescu, said to be the best driving road in the world. adore the sound of that.
AjcW Posted 15 November 2009 Posted 15 November 2009 On at 9pm to give Jezza more freedom and to give it a slot on the BBC HD channel I love sundays.
Part Of The Crowd Posted 15 November 2009 Posted 15 November 2009 Entertaining first 15 minutes to be honest. Richard Hammond actually said something funny
Hitesh Posted 15 November 2009 Posted 15 November 2009 A very good episode I have to say - and theres 8 mins still left!
Part Of The Crowd Posted 15 November 2009 Posted 15 November 2009 agreed, very good episode. Love the road.
Samilktray Posted 15 November 2009 Posted 15 November 2009 Meh, hope they get better. That road and the Lambo are too fucking sweet though!
Tommeh Posted 15 November 2009 Posted 15 November 2009 Not found it that funny tbh Exactly what I was getting at earlier. It was brilliant, 3 great cars, unbelievable shots and THAT road.
Simi Posted 15 November 2009 Posted 15 November 2009 Enjoyable I thought. The shots of that road were something else. Something Top Gear has always managed to do well is capture a moment well with the shots they get.
StanSP Posted 15 November 2009 Posted 15 November 2009 If I could drive anywhere, it would be THAT road. Looked awesome. Good episode.
The Doctor Posted 16 November 2009 Posted 16 November 2009 If I could drive anywhere, it would be THAT road. Looked awesome. Good episode. they did say it yesterday but that stelvio pass they claimed was the best road in the world a coulple of series back was tame compared to that road. tunnel blasting under the romanian house of parliment, wonder why we can't do that in england? (alternitively - tear down the palace (buckingham and balmoral), stick the royal family in a council house and build an underground race track. sorted)
