Hugo Sanchez Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 I do apologise if I actually get off my arse to support the team, and I do apologise for not accepting any inconvenience that comes my way, I mean, it's not like I'm the one putting any effort into following my team. Agree with all of that. Tv fooking the fixtures up is shite for the fans who travel away. People have got jobs during the week and now have to work round changing shifts to go and support the lads on. Saturday 3:00 thats how it should be.

I guess the people that don't travel away much will only see the benefits - they can watch it on TV now. I'm pissed off with this, just got to hope I have a free lesson on Friday afternoon ,

Exactly theres nothing stopping games being played on TV on a Saturday at 3:00 clock. Im sure its going to be exiciting trying to get into London on a Friday night.
Simi Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 I'm already getting pissed off about people moaning about fixture changes.it was inevitable that there would be changes. Sky and BBC aren't going to keep fixtures as they are just to keep fans of one club happy. Modern football is doing you proud eh? Doesn't sound like you get off your arse to go to many games else I doubt you'd still share that opinion. A Friday night away game in London is absolutely sticking the middle finger up at the fans who enjoy to travel to the away games. I hope you enjoy watching the game with your packet off crisps whilst people have to cancel their already booked train tickets/accomodation making them lose out on some well earned money.
Free Falling Foxes Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 Exactly theres nothing stopping games being played on TV on a Saturday at 3:00 clock. Im sure its going to be exiciting trying to get into London on a Friday night. Except an awful lot of your potential audience are probably at games and, not least, the FA don't allow it. Don't get me wrong, it pisses me off too but there are reasons.

I could have dealt with 5:35 KO on the Saturday but a Friday night is going to be an absolute bitch to get to from Uni or wherever else.
Fosse Boy Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 Doesn't really affect me personally too much, but I'm still pissed off about it as it's obviously a massive inconvenience to most of our travelling support. I was searching for a "Fuck off Sky Sports" group to join on facebook, but all I could find was this bunch of utter ******.

Definate im not an idiot do understand why they put it on shit times. Friday nights are always hard to get to especially in London.

That Anthony Dillon really does no nothing, I might add him just to call him a ****.
Guest Bilo Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 Those utter tossers at Sky Sports can kiss my hairy fooking beanbag. Both of the London away days I was looking forward to are now evening kick-offs, and I'd bet my arse I'd have lectures going to about 5 o clock so I won't be able to make it in time to the grounds. Watford is now about the closest we're going to get to a Saturday away in the capital for fook's sake. Rupert Murdoch can go take a long walk off a short pier. Preferably somewhere back in Australia where there will be plenty of box jellyfish and/or great white sharks waiting to feast upon him. Bastards.
Bert Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 What kind of Cunt sorts shit like this out? It's hard enough getting into London at rush hour, let alone on a weekend. This will inconvience many, and please few.
Edmund Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 Exactly theres nothing stopping games being played on TV on a Saturday at 3:00 clock. Accept a license which means games at 3:00 can not be televised in England I was searching for a "Fuck off Sky Sports" group to join on facebook, but all I could find was this bunch of utter ******. No offense but this is just sad. There are more important things in life to worry about. Im guessing your not enjoying the cricket

My depression is just getting worse.
maddog Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 The game is now accesible to tens of thousands more Leicester fans who can watch it on the telly, and only annoying for the 1500 fans who would have gone to the game. Absolute nightmare i say.
AjcW Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 This really does make depressing reading, guys surely you must understand that without sky and bbc games we would of probably signed 2 maybe 3 players, not 7. They are important, like it or not, and at least they are televising us for once, because remember there is a percentage of people who cant get to away games full stop, and in that case sky provide a service for us to enjoy and be able to watch our team. Im not saying stop moaning, just put a little more thought into it.

Tens of thousands? Piss off!! Muppet. You'll be the first to moan that you couldn't hear the City fans, or the paltry away attendance, so do one. As Ched says, why not change it to 5.35 or even a 12.45 kickoff on the Saturday if it absolutely needs to be on TV? At least people will be able to get back in decent time and their plans aren't disrupted too much.

How did you think the non-travelling fans coped in the days before Sky TV? No i'm not actually bothered. If the travel is that much of an inconvenience how about stay at home or go pub and watch it on the telly, and save loads of money. Theres 23 away games in a season to go to, we don't have many on Sky, just miss one ffs. And if we get 22000 for a home game, and 2000 of them go to the QPR game, that leaves tens of thousands of fans who can now watch the game. And also the fans who don't go to any games would like to watch. It benefits so many more fans having the game on tv.

A moment's thought would have told them that Friday night is a bollockache for travelling fans, early or late Saturday afternoon would have generated a similar audience and showed some consideration towards those fans who do follow City everywhere. I don't understand why they introduced Friday night kick-offs in the first place, they are an absolute nuisance to everybody.

I'm sure Sky's circuits will explode due to the sheer numbers. And dont't tell me what to do. Perhaps some of us also don't want to miss a game, and if we do, then it's our own choice to miss the game, and not forced upon us by some suited twats who haven't a clue what it's like in the real world. Missing a game for something worthwhile, ok, but to satisfy the likes of you? You can piss right off. Even an early or later kick off on the Saturday would have been ok, but no, they pick the stupidest time and day to be trying to travel into the capital, and it impacts not just City fans but R's fans who live and work outside the capital, who might like to have gone to the game. At Championship level, the money that the home club receives for a televised game just about covers the lost revenue because home fans decide to stay at home, in the majority of cases.
Edmund Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 How did you think the non-travelling fans coped in the days before Sky TV? Times change, move on.
Guest Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 Times change, move on. Ha, with the way football's going, the sooner it bottoms out, and all the plastics feck off and go back to egg chasing, or shopping or whatever, the better.
syston_fox Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 UN. BELIEVABLE. This is pretty much the only night of the whole season I have anything prior planned. It's just ludicrous. Instantly thought of you when I saw the fixture change because I know you had plans. Typical isn't it? The one day I cant make is where they moved Newcastle to and the one day you can't make is where they have put the QPR fixture. Sods law at it's finest. And as for maddog - kindly fook off.
