Webbo Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 I was going to say I was glad because I probably wouldn't have gone and now I can see it on TV. But I don't think I'll bother now.
Edmund Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 Ha, with the way football's going, the sooner it bottoms out, and all the plastics feck off and go back to egg chasing, or shopping or whatever, the better. I didn't mean to be rude but everything changes wether you like it or not. Id love to still see Leicester play at Filbert Street but unfortunately thats not the case. I didn't realise there was so much hatred towards sky. With the comments in this thread if Murdoch was thrown into a crowd he would get torn like a puppet in a dogs mouth.

With the comments in this thread if Murdoch was thrown into a crowd he would get torn like a puppet in a dogs mouth. If the change had been for the good, then I would have no complaints, but the Sky era has ruined football. You can predict who will be in the top 4 in the Premiership before the next season has started, players demand to be paid more money a week than the average supporter earns a year, you can go for weeks without being able to see your team play at 3pm on a Saturday, the pressure of staying in the Premiership is so high that teams who have had any time in there, and end up being relegated, rather than being buoyed by the parachute money, end up getting into financial trouble, as for staying in the Championship, just look at the teams relegated to League One this year, and look at who's struggled - ex Premiership teams. The ever growing divide widens. The fans feel disenfranchised. After last season, I really don't want us to go up, and I don't want us on the TV taking that money. As I said earlier, the clubs don't benefit, in the main. Most of the fee goes towards making up for lost ticket and matchday revenue.
Free Falling Foxes Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 I trust all you slagging-off Sky don't watch any of their output - especially sport/football - not even down the pub. If you do, then cancel; giving your reasons. Who knows, if everyone made their position clear...........! Have a grumble on here by all means but I dare say there are similar threads up & down the country. Trouble is forums alone wont make one jot of difference.
Koke Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 It's the total lack of common sense that annoys me.As Ched says, why not change it to 5.35 or even a 12.45 kickoff on the Saturday if it absolutely needs to be on TV? At least people will be able to get back in decent time and their plans aren't disrupted too much. Premiership games usually get the 5.30 slot IIRC, so it was either Monday night [shit] or Friday night. The latter is easier for most people. I'm as disappointed as the next man that our two London away games has fallen on weekdays, but with BBC and Sky broadcasting it, KO changes was bound to happen - If not QPR, then it would have been another game.
StanSP Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 I'm sorry I don't have enough money to travel to away games And just because I don't travel to many away games, doesn't make my support/love for Leicester decrease.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 From a neutral's point of view, QPR / City would hardly have me moist in anticipation. Could another game have been moved? Obviously the people that never intended to go will probably like this news, the people that were going will be almightily pished off, rightly so.

And I can see why and I genuinely feel for them. But I don't get why people who can't (rather than don't) should be targeted.
Edmund Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 But I don't get why people who can't (rather than don't) should be targeted. Just like last season when the supporters who bought season tickets who attended every home game and a couple of away matches were branded not real fans, because they went to the Peterbrough game and not every single away game. I can remember a fan on here saying that he should have priority over season ticket holders for away games because he/she had attended the Brighton away game on a tuesday night. All I can say to that is get your dick out of your own ass. Its beyond beggars belief where fans get a mentality that seem to divide fans from one another.
Simi Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 I'm sorry I don't have enough money to travel to away games And just because I don't travel to many away games, doesn't make my support/love for Leicester decrease. Glad to see the eye roll is still alive. Even if you don't have enough money to travel to the away games can you not accept that peoples plans have been sent tits up and money already spent is down the drain?

Yeah I said that above .
Koke Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 ^ I remember that person. IIRC all he said was there should be some sort of priority system for non-ST holders who attend most away games. But that argument was torn to pieces by someone else who said that he wasn't earning LCFC any money cos he was barely attending home games - only away games.
Daggers Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 I wanted to tick off QPR n'all. I'm annoyed for that reason only.

Maybes Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 Like Ched, Fez, Lisa, Bert etc have said....well and truly pissed off. The seasons grand day out in London has been jizzed on by the cocks at sky sports!!
Tommeh Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 The game is now accesible to tens of thousands more Leicester fans who can watch it on the telly, and only annoying for the 1500 fans who would have gone to the game.Absolute nightmare i say. fook off you brainless tit. Thats me ****ied for this one then, love QPR usually. Unless a miracle happens and I'll be done with uni for midday I'll struggle, but at least if I can make it there will be one hell of a night out to be had after. I already hate this new season and it's still July.
Sparky Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 Friday night in London looks on then , id have prefered the Saturday but will still try to get to this one
placidcasual Posted 9 July 2009 Posted 9 July 2009 To be selfish. Means the game will be on TV over here. My birthday weekend will kick off nicely with this.
demon_dog Posted 9 July 2009 Posted 9 July 2009 Like Ched, Fez, Lisa, Bert etc have said....well and truly pissed off. The seasons grand day out in London has been jizzed on by the cocks at sky sports!! We could still have a grand day out in London. We're gonna get to Wembley aren't we?
Katy Posted 9 July 2009 Posted 9 July 2009 Instantly thought of you when I saw the fixture change because I know you had plans. Typical isn't it? The one day I cant make is where they moved Newcastle to and the one day you can't make is where they have put the QPR fixture. Sods law at it's finest. And as for maddog - kindly fook off. Ha! Screw you Sky if you think you are going to fook my plans up you bunch of absolute cockmunchers!
Katy Posted 9 July 2009 Posted 9 July 2009 We could still have a grand day out in London. We're gonna get to Wembley aren't we? Yeah, and even then they'll change it to a weekday evening. Welcome to the wanky world of the Championship folks

I suppose you're right, but other Championship matches are at 5.30 this season so I'm sure this one could've been too. However, the decision has been made and hopefully I'll find a way of getting there.
Fosse Boy Posted 9 July 2009 Posted 9 July 2009 No i'm not actually bothered. If the travel is that much of an inconvenience how about stay at home or go pub and watch it on the telly, and save loads of money. Theres 23 away games in a season to go to, we don't have many on Sky, just miss one ffs. And if we get 22000 for a home game, and 2000 of them go to the QPR game, that leaves tens of thousands of fans who can now watch the game. And also the fans who don't go to any games would like to watch. It benefits so many more fans having the game on tv. Your attitude is spectacularly mongtacular. FUCK OFF SKY SPORTS!!!
