The Doctor Posted 2 July 2009 Posted 2 July 2009 Or use a bit of common sense. Why couldn't this match have been the 5.20pm kick-off on the 29th? the sunday would work as well because then travelling back won't cause the problem it will with the game being on the monday because everyone is off the day after because of the bank holiday so they don't need to be up early for work/school.
Matt Posted 2 July 2009 Posted 2 July 2009 Fuckin Wankers. I'll still be able to watch the game atleast but was going to this, i'll struggle now.
C-man Posted 2 July 2009 Posted 2 July 2009 Fucking get in!Reading Festival to Newcastle, yes then. I do feel sorry for all those that are going to miss out/struggle due to the move though. Oh this is epic. Reading to Newcastle in a day. Now that is a journey!
Tevez Posted 2 July 2009 Posted 2 July 2009 Leeds, up to Newcastle, find somewhere to have a shower, then hit the match. Always cotch in a Travelodge with us!
Frenzied Posted 2 July 2009 Posted 2 July 2009 Very annoyed. No realistic chance of going now. Sports bar on Haymarket it is then.
Daggers Posted 2 July 2009 Posted 2 July 2009 So is mine, maybe it's the same wedding....nah, only kiddin, mines in Brum!!! Get the fuck in - and I would have missed it because of that stupid dumb match.
Ultra Posted 2 July 2009 Posted 2 July 2009 I'm Dandy I will only be missing a Tuesday morning of school. Not even that. Term doesn't start until the Wednesday.
filbertway Posted 2 July 2009 Posted 2 July 2009 Awesome..means I can watch this while recovering from leeds fest. Craig and Cman that is heroic...you guys will be ready to collapse come tuesday!
Edmund Posted 2 July 2009 Posted 2 July 2009 I wish Sky would fork off As annoying as it can be, without them we would lose a chunk of monies
Fez of Mahrez Posted 2 July 2009 Posted 2 July 2009 As annoying as it can be, without them we would lose a chunk of monies They can keep their ****ing money, I'd rather not have to travel back from Newcastle at gone 10pm on a week night or have to fork out for accommodation and use up yet more annual leave. Cunts.
Daggers Posted 2 July 2009 Posted 2 July 2009 To be honest, I can happily skip what would've been a shite atmosphere anyway. The money I save is going to be invested in cocaine and prostitutes.
Dan Posted 2 July 2009 Posted 2 July 2009 For TV games they should reduce the prices in the agreement, the TV company gives the money to make up for lost earnings for the club, also season ticket holders should be given money because they've already payed. Thats the way I think it should work anyway. To be honest, I can happily skip what would've been a shite atmosphere anyway. The money I save is going to be invested in cocaine and prostitutes. One hell of an investment to be fair.
Guest ttfn Posted 2 July 2009 Posted 2 July 2009 Went to uni in the North East. So many of my mates are Geordies. Been looking forward to this ever since they got relegated, and even more since the fixtures came out. Was going to make a weekend of it. Have to work on the bank holiday so can't make it. I want to cry. SKY are such twats. Why the hell would they put ANY newcastle game on a monday night, it's not reasonable to expect people to travel there then. Anybody up for a petition?!

Mate, they don't care, sorry. Sky do not give a shit about the fans, not the ones that are willing to go to games anyway. The travelling of fans will have never ever crossed their mind when picking a match.
Anish Posted 3 July 2009 Posted 3 July 2009 Fcking wan kers. I hate Sky. Now I have to use up annual leave to make this game, cos there's no way I can get back from Newcastle to London and get to work on Tuesday. Was so looking forward to the game being on Saturday too and then they go and fck up our plans.
Bert Posted 3 July 2009 Posted 3 July 2009 You can always go watch Cheltenham play Darlo on the Saturday up there!
