Basingstoke Fox Posted 28 June 2009 Posted 28 June 2009 Thats actaully a pretty good song for the point it is making although the Billie Jean bit is abit sad. How quick was that though, it was uploaded 2 days ago!
Koke Posted 28 June 2009 Posted 28 June 2009 Pretty good song to be fair and fair play to Game, Diddy and Chris Brown.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 28 June 2009 Posted 28 June 2009 Pretty good song to be fair and fair play to Game, Diddy and Chris Brown. Heard that earlier too, downloaded it . So I like a song in favour and a song against MJ, its all good.
BoneDog Posted 28 June 2009 Posted 28 June 2009 I got invited to one of these "R.I.P. Michael Jackson" groups on Facebook (of which i ignored) and one of the topics someone had started was "Is Michael Jackson's Death A Bigger Tragedy Than 9/11?". I honestly can't believe how mind numbingly stupid people are!! There were some moronic idiot's that were saying that Jacko's death was more of a tragedy!!! I'm amazed at how stupid some people in the world have become...and quite frankly worried that people do think it's worse than 9/11. To even ask that question they must be doolally. 9 11 was a massive event that destroyed thousands of peoples lives and still continues to do so to this day. They must be stupid freaks only concerned with Holywood and Tv. I might now finally join facebook just to give the idiots some sh*t

BoneDog Posted 28 June 2009 Posted 28 June 2009 Like someone said earlier it's a good time for politicians to do their dirty work. The US have already started it in Honduras on the day that the leader there (who has given the Honduran people their best rights ever) was due to get re-instated. It's on 1 channel and Jacko is filling up Sky, BBC etc. It's a bad day for the average poor folk in Honduras and it will hardly get any coverage, maybe a little spin.
davieG Posted 28 June 2009 Posted 28 June 2009 can one not ask the question with a sense of irony? Leeds Utd. are bigger than Jackson ever was or will be. Jackson's died and football is still continuing, If Leeds died the world of football would cease - FACTOID!
BoneDog Posted 28 June 2009 Posted 28 June 2009 can one not ask the question with a sense of irony? Course they can. Is that what they were doing? My mistake if so
stez Posted 28 June 2009 Posted 28 June 2009 Course they can. Is that what they were doing? My mistake if so i don't know, that's what i asked further up the thread, i asked if he was asking the question to make a point. (posted sponsored by 'ask.com')
Uncle Albert Posted 28 June 2009 Posted 28 June 2009 Imo apart from thriller he was shit anyway. Except smooth criminal (but alien ant farm versions a lot better anyway). Have a word.

I must admit I hadn't heard anything about this until you mentioned it but looking at THIS(admittedly the BBC so obviously a CIA front) there doesn't seem to be any suggestion of American involvement apart from a wild accusation from Hugo Chavez. In fact President Manuel Zelaya said; In an interview with Spain's El Pais newspaper published on Sunday, Mr Zelaya said a planned coup against him had been thwarted after the US refused to back it."Everything was in place for the coup and if the US embassy had approved it, it would have happened. But they did not," Mr Zeleya said. "I'm only still here in office thanks to the United States."
Guest ttfn Posted 28 June 2009 Posted 28 June 2009 No I'm not.Global economic crisis and the sub-prime market The nationalisation of banking entities Corrupt politicians and expense claims The quest for the Higgs-Boson particle and the inauguration of the hadron collider The Presidential election and ongoing crisis in Zimbabwe The release of Ingrid Betancour The downing of the flight from Brazil to France Swine flu pandemic hysterics Thailand's two States of Emergency and a coup d'etat Ongoing terrorist acts in Pakistan Israel and the Gaza strip Somalian war The rise of shipping piracy The ongoing fight against digital piracy Iraq Iranian elections Bird flu North Korea nuclear tests Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows launch ...to but scratch the surface. Just because it may be important to you and some people in america and here doesn't mean that it figures above the "loud dog fart" news feature on TV Korea. If you had said that it is occupying a disproportionate time during British television programming schedules then I'd conceed you are right...but biggest news story? Nonsense. It's not important to me. No more so than anyone else who has posted on here. As much as I'd like to agree with you about the above points, I can't. What you fail to grasp is that NEWS is what we are exposed to. A big news story is not what you, I, or anybody else perceives to be a big news story. It's what fills page after page of newspapers and websites and hour after hour of television and radio. At least that was what my perception was when I wrote my comment, something which you seem to appreciate near the end. Basically, my point is this - news is not something that we decide. It is decided for us. This has had more coverage than anything else I've seen in the news recently, and I read the papers every day (Star, Sport, sometimes the Sun if I'm feeling intelligent)

The media you refer to are not in the 'news' business anymore (if they ever were) - they are purveyors of titillation. If that is seriously the scope of your news sources then we have nothing further to discuss.

In all fairness I can't recall anything of note happening on the 9th of November.

Where nonentities make the news for being nonentities. Where run of the mill entertainers are feted more than pioneers of science and curers of fatal diseases. Where someone who makes excessive amounts of money sitting at a computer is considered of more value to society than someone who cares for the sick. We are becoming day by day a sick society, we've become more corrupt than Sodom and Gomorrah.
MC Prussian Posted 28 June 2009 Posted 28 June 2009 Got the No.1 album. You've just paid money for an album of an artist that no longer exists. Basically, you're now paying off a part of its debt. Congratulations.
Libertine Posted 28 June 2009 Posted 28 June 2009 You've just paid money for an album of an artist that no longer exists.Basically, you're now paying off a part of its debt. Congratulations. I've not actually. Michael Jackson has the No. 1 album in the charts this week. I bought the DVD five years ago. Thanks and g'night!

Proof that it's a complete sell-out - after its death. And when you say "album", that means CD to me, not the digital video part. Enjoy dancing with the dead.
Fox92 Posted 28 June 2009 Posted 28 June 2009 Actually, was in Florida when this terrible news broke out. Just got dinner and then on one of the main USA channel's the story broke out that he had died. RIP Michael Jackson, legend. Great music. Another true great musician dies young; John Lennon, Elvis Pressley, Thin Lizzy, George Harrison, the list can continue...

Asha Posted 28 June 2009 Posted 28 June 2009 Enjoy dancing with the dead. What's wrong with showing a bit of respect, support and admiration for someone whom he appreciated?
