MC Prussian Posted 29 June 2009 Posted 29 June 2009 Alexei, you seem to feel the need to voice your dislike at people posting their views and respectful comments over a man who bought so much to the music industry and inspired many people around the world. If you have no respect or appreciation for the man, then do you really need to constantly put a downer on a thread used for such a purpose? You then feel the need to ridicule Libertine for listening to and buying his music following his death? You post the comment 'Enjoy dancing with the dead'? Do you have no respect for those who've passed on? Do you think those who've passed on should be instantly forgotton? There's a lot of respect about for the man, and there should be too. I hope to God that his music lives on. Like I said before, I do have respect for Michael Jackson - the early one. He had one really good album (produced by Quincy Jones). What followed after was a complete sell-out. Already in 1984 did he charge outrageously high prices for his tour. Then he got taken advantage of by his entourage, lost touch with reality, got himself into serious health problems (skin colour change, plastic surgery, using pressure chambers for "clean" air) and amassed a hefty debt over the past 15 years. Not even selling Neverland has brought him back into healthy digits. So what you're doing now, whether it is 5 years ago or now, buying records issued by record companies who're just after making some more money from the dead. Which I think in Michael Jackson's case is quite a sad event; in order to be appreciated by the masses, one must die (?). Of course his music will live on, no doubt about it. The £££ gained through record sales will always make it worth. "Enjoy dancing with the dead" was meant that way. MJ is dead and everyone who's still listening to his music is hence "dancing with the dead". Of course, one can always twist other people's words around. Because he's a dick NSLL.Alex I mean, not Michael Jackson. You're not an angel, either. "All Nighter", anyone? Thats kind. I love you, too. He's tried to belittle me & a few of the other young 'uns on many different occassions. It's mild in comparison to what I could call him. If you're taking the internet that seriously, I'd consider you see instant help. Don't tell me you didn't enjoy your own silly antics while they lasted. But hes allowed too. Don't tell me you're jealous. ... Does he realise how he failed? It's not a matter of succeeding or failing. I hope you've realised that by now (see my "dancing with the dead" comment further up). You really are a bit of a knob aren't you. Have we met before? Ah bollocks, You mean i've been buying and listening The Beatles/John Lennon stuff all these years, thus making it meaningless? What are you saying? When a legendary artist dies the music dies with them? And yes, I do enjoy dancing and listening to the dead. Again, I never said it's "meaningless" listening to Michael Jackson (or the Beatles in that regard). And the Beatles haven't exactly amassed such a debt like Jackson did, did they. You could also criticise Paul McCartney or Ringo Starr for being the only ones left making money off the Beatles. What I think is meaningless is the amount of fans who now believe they're suffering like they've lost a member of their own family. THAT's sad. People who think they've known Michael Jackson or who think his music meant something to them and who're now j*rking off on other forums just because they can't take it no more. THAT is sick. I enjoy "Thriller" for what it is, a great entertaining pop record. But that's about it - there's no depth to MJ's records. He got shallower by the year and was an entertainer pushed by the media to a large extent. And he did zilch in terms of creative music output since the mid- to late Nineties. His voice got thinner by the record - compare "Thriller" to, say, "HIStory" or "Invincible". You can already hear the over-usage of beats and guitar riffs on "Bad". You're a shit-stirrer. At least some support.
James. Posted 29 June 2009 Posted 29 June 2009 Good to see your still enjoying your little crusade Alexei. Top poster in this thread . Now there's some internet irony for you. You're starting to show Ultra-esque qualities!
Jimmy Posted 29 June 2009 Posted 29 June 2009 Better Link to the Jordy Chandler admission Two days after the King of Pop, Michael Jackson’s death, an truly sickening news broke out. Jordan Chandler, the child who claimed that Michael Jackson molested him in 1993, went out in public to admit that he LIED. Yes, Jordan Chandler said in an interview that he was never molested by Michael Jackson. He just followed orders from his father Evan Chandler. The case of Jordan Chandler was settled outside court with $20 million. Jordan Chandler said that his conscience was haunting him following the death of the man whose career he destroyed by telling a lie.Jordan Chandler said that he and his father, Evan Chandler, only did this lies to escape out of poverty. Evan Chandler ordered Jordan Chandler to tell a psychiatrist that he was molested. This maybe the most disgusting lie I have ever heard off. Evan and Jordan Chandler should be put to jail!
Ultra Posted 29 June 2009 Posted 29 June 2009 Top poster in this thread . Now there's some internet irony for you. You're starting to show Ultra-esque qualities! I'd hope not. He won't remain a mod for much longer if he does...
maddog Posted 29 June 2009 Posted 29 June 2009 Heard on news earlier Jacko had been practicing dancing for 3 hours a day for 3 months for the concerts. Had just passed a rigorous physical exam and was ready for the 50 shows. And had practiced with 80 other dancers 12 hours before he died. His concerts were going to be amazing, probably the greatest ever seen, even more gutted that i won't be going now First night aswell, i'm sure there would have been some celebs there
Matt Posted 29 June 2009 Posted 29 June 2009 Right, I have supported MJ in this thread, my opinion doesn't change RIP however and maybe i'm being cynical, probably am, but when I first heard news of the tour I said he would not complete it, bearing that in mind does anyone think the mixture of pills he was on, the effort and hardwork he was putting into the build up to the tour - does anyone perhaps think he was trying to make himself ill, certainly not kill himself but make himself ill causing him to drop out/not even start his tour? I don't think anyone has posted anything like that in thread but I haven't read every single post in this thread.

We joked he may have faked his own death to get out the tour Everyone knows he was never going to do 50 shows that was obvious, and it's been said he only wanted to do 10, but the promoters signed him up for 50. Which makes sense because when he did the press conference at the o2 he said these 10 shows were it, and see you in July, there was nothing about any shows in 2010 or onwards. He would never have completed 50 shows, but i'm certain he would have managed the first one, and i would have been there
Dan Posted 29 June 2009 Posted 29 June 2009 I do concur. At the end of the day he was just a bloke who was bloody good in his field and entertained a lot of people across the world, including myself. But people have a weird sense of placing priority on the lives of others. All those extreme fans of his who will be crying their eyes out for him are a bunch of tits. Jackson had no bearing on their existence and had no bearing on their life whatsoever, and they should re-consider their priorities - and I never knew he died until I logged on Facebook a few minutes ago to see 25 status updates about him. Running 24 hour news for him is just absurd - but sad news and rest in peace, Michael. The best post of the thread and I doubt there will be a better one.
Mikey Posted 29 June 2009 Posted 29 June 2009 Never liked the guy. Obviously been born in 1993 has influenced this massively, when he started to get accused of pedophilia and such like things as hanging a baby out of a window, there is no denying the media have effected my view on him. This is not to say that I do not realize what a good singer and what a great dancer he is/was. Also I am not arguing against his influence on the music world, and appreciate many of the artists I like have taken inspiration from him. To me, I will always see him as being two different people. The black young child/man who starred in the Jackson 5, who made some very good songs and was a excellent dancer. Then the 'other person' is obviously the white Michael Jackson, who I saw as a weirdo, freak or whatever you want to call him. This is the one I saw most of, and that is probably why I never liked him, because I never saw the real musical and dancing genius, only the media portrayed weirdo.

Granno Posted 29 June 2009 Posted 29 June 2009 The worlds going mad, latest headline on Sky News : FANS COMMIT SUICIDE Sad bastards. Although I am a staunch defender of letting people say RIP and stuff, this is taking the fooking piss.
Guest Bilo Posted 29 June 2009 Posted 29 June 2009 That is seriously tragic. And hilariously pathetic. More the latter because of my evil mood right now. Stupid bastards.
Sly Posted 29 June 2009 Posted 29 June 2009 Sad bastards. Although I am a staunch defender of letting people say RIP and stuff, this is taking the fooking piss. I think some people just need to get out more. To date, 12 people have commited suicide. It's just crazy!!

Ultra Posted 30 June 2009 Posted 30 June 2009 Worse still, folk in Leicester have been laying flowers in front of a Michael Jackson billboard. They have more money than sense!
BoneDog Posted 30 June 2009 Posted 30 June 2009 I must admit I hadn't heard anything about this until you mentioned it but looking at THIS(admittedly the BBC so obviously a CIA front) there doesn't seem to be any suggestion of American involvement apart from a wild accusation from Hugo Chavez. In fact President Manuel Zelaya said;"Everything was in place for the coup and if the US embassy had approved it, it would have happened. But they did not," Mr Zeleya said. "I'm only still here in office thanks to the United States." I bet you they did approve it. It's funny how the coup did happen a little while later. The reason this one isn't all over the news is because it succeeded. The people there finally had a president who worked for them. No more. I know it has nothing to do with Jacko so I'll leave it there

" I started to see a vest that Michael has worn a few times forming inside the closet facing me in an etheral kind of form like if you were to touch it, your hand would go right through it. It was forming itself kind of flashing by piece by piece like a painter who paints with fluffy clouds of different flowing forms and colors and shapes, pieces of it fading in and out until the whole form was there, I mustered up courage again to look back into the closet and could feel him now wearing the vest, but I couldnt see his face or legs, only the vest but I FELT him wearing it, I decided I must be going crazy " You said it love.
