Happy to be proved wrong but can't really remember any major incidents with him
Salieri Posted 15 August 2009 Posted 15 August 2009 Please close this thread Mods as it only allows fools like Samilktray to post (just an example): Beckford is a sexy beast :locked: Beckford is a sexy beast.

His ability far outweighs any MINOR issues theyve had with discipline but theyve all been small and on the pitch as far as I know. Hes not overrated as far as Im concerned, but cant see him coming here in a million years <_<

Also been known to gesticulate to Leeds fans on more than one occasion. He is a bit moody. I'm not completely convinced by him. He can score goals against the likes of Exeter and some of his goals look very impressive but he was poor when it counted in the Play-Off Semis and the step up to the Championship is a big one for lower-league strikers. I don't think there's a cat in hell's chance that we'll sign him anyway so it's all a bit redundant.

Millwall - only suspended after Sky highlighted him hitting their keeper..
lcfc_jme Posted 16 August 2009 Posted 16 August 2009 Beckford and DJ Campbell are distant cousins. They would fu ck people up. Personally, we should offer cash + Sappleton and his hoes for him. That'd be good, that.

FilboFox Posted 16 August 2009 Posted 16 August 2009 Why would we want him? Yes, he does score, but his manner and attitude are so appallingly bad that he'd be a terrible person to have in a well jelled team. Could you imagine someone like him going into the dressing room or training field! He'd be strutting around thinking he's the dogs bollox and causing rifts in the team... So thanks, but no thanks, I'd rather get someone in who is down to earth and will fit in well with the team... not some over confident, arrogant twat like Beckford who probably ends up canceling out anything good he does with his stupidity.

How the hell did we arrive at the time when league 1 clubs feel they can charge 3m for a striker anyway?

I personally would probably playup a bit if i was being kept well within my abilities. The risk of course is if he will carry that on into the championship

Salieri Posted 16 August 2009 Posted 16 August 2009 Can't we close this pointless thread now? At least the Kermorgant thread has some substance to it!
milan_foxes Posted 16 August 2009 Posted 16 August 2009 Such as WHO I could see Tommy Smith at watford fitting in as he can play up front and then he could fit into the left wing place as dyer in my view has looked useless the start of the season, why adams hasnt played instead of him i dont know
FilboFox Posted 17 August 2009 Posted 17 August 2009 Such as WHO That's for NP's scouts to find him, not me... I just think that Beckford would be a troublesome buy and not worth the hassle he'd bring with him.

I thought Dyer was fine against Swansea to be honest.
