Anorak Posted 9 August 2009 Posted 9 August 2009 That Manish looked a right tit standing next to the league tables.
Flynny Posted 9 August 2009 Posted 9 August 2009 Was Manish deliberately asking Holloway slightly barbed questions?
Unabomber Posted 9 August 2009 Posted 9 August 2009 League 2 goal of the month goes to ugly drunk fat slut sitting on the bog.
Fox You Forest Posted 9 August 2009 Posted 9 August 2009 Disappointing. ITV didn't have pisscam.
Libertine Posted 9 August 2009 Posted 9 August 2009  ITV didn't have pisscam. Well technically they did.
Ultra Posted 9 August 2009 Posted 9 August 2009 I'm glad to learn my Sky+ doesn't have a fault after all.. The glitch will generate massive comment in Monday's papers. Perhaps that was the intention? The 606-style feature of a vaguely glamorous assistant, reading selected texts and emails from viewers, doesn't really work. Pearson, after just ONE win as our manager at Championship level, cannot yet be hailed as "the new MON". Overall, though, the show was still way ahead of ITV and their incessant, irritating "pear cider" ads. Things can only get better.
Jay Posted 9 August 2009 Posted 9 August 2009 I like the ability to watch online via the Iplayer although a Sunday morning repeat would be nice!! Although no Beautiful Day or Pear Cider adverts mean it's a winner already in my book
Webbo Posted 9 August 2009 Posted 9 August 2009 The girl reading the e-mails was a waste of time. If they're not about your team who cares?
SantiagoFox Posted 9 August 2009 Posted 9 August 2009 Don't we get a repeat at a decent time ? Having to stop up 'til 1 am after a long day on the beer is a bit much, even if they throw in a bit of an ITV film for a laugh.
Asha Posted 9 August 2009 Posted 9 August 2009 The girl reading the e-mails was a waste of time. If they're not about your team who cares? Yeah, the whole idea was shit. Plus you get complete twazzocks emailing in. Like the phone-in but on a more public scale.
Ultra Posted 9 August 2009 Posted 9 August 2009 If you have Sky or Virgin you can watch it on the red button. Otherwise you can watch it via BBC Iplayer.
Milky Posted 9 August 2009 Posted 9 August 2009 Must've been sabotaged by ITV. How else would it switch?
Shrenchel Posted 9 August 2009 Posted 9 August 2009 Missed the bird curling one out but I thought it was abysmal generally. The set looked like summin out of the crystal maze and emails being read out was cringeworthy, what is it **** newsround?!

I think my favourite bit was the silly headset the woman had on that was obviously meant to make her look like she's at the hub of a busy communiations centre when it'd almost certainly be just a prop. What a crock. Also she looks like she's stepped out of a Colgate ad.
JadeFalcon Posted 9 August 2009 Posted 9 August 2009 i'm certainly disappointed with the great ammount of coverage of our match lasting roughly 1 minute as you well saw, considering the derby match got 7 mins worth. hell they could have atleast showed us the 1-2 with the corner flag, pfftt bbc hate leicester its a fact
AmericanScott Posted 9 August 2009 Posted 9 August 2009 My only dissapointment was they didnt read my text out
Daggers Posted 9 August 2009 Posted 9 August 2009 Awful sound levels, ridiculous camera angles & cut-sections and the "Have your say" bit is cringeworthy. I don't give a shit what Dazza from Barnsley thinks - I barely care for the words of the "experts" so why the fuck does the BBC think I'm interested in the the collected thoughts of morons?

I know exactly what you mean. Why can't people keep their opinions to themselfs and not feel the need to air them to others?
Guest Posted 9 August 2009 Posted 9 August 2009 I dream of hiding out in a woman's cubicle I hear Jordan is single again....
Samilktray Posted 9 August 2009 Posted 9 August 2009 I thought it was brilliant, much better than ITVs offering. MOTD and this, class.
Daggers Posted 9 August 2009 Posted 9 August 2009 I know exactly what you mean. Why can't people keep their opinions to themselfs and not feel the need to air them to others? Here, members of the forum can pop people on 'ignore' and go without their pearls of wisdom. TV and Radio have embraced this 'everyone has a viewpoint we can cheaply fill airtime with' culture. On the forum there's people I see posting in a thread and I will go read their stuff for the information or the humour - I don't get that choice with TV. I don't bother with the Moan-In for precisely this reason and yet I have to suffer it as part of my news delivery and now as part of my football viewing. I don't reckon it's right.
Braunyfox Posted 9 August 2009 Posted 9 August 2009 Football League Show was to me a waste of space, too much chatter from Claridge and IH and what was the point of such a vast set and technical nonsense. At the end of the day all you want to watch is highlights, if you were to watch a rerun and timed the chat against the highlights, there would not be a lot of difference. And it made my hair look really grey in the highlights.
nuttytimmy Posted 9 August 2009 Posted 9 August 2009 Lots of negative comments here, but I loved it. Manish with Claridge is going to be brilliant for us as the season goes on, Saint Gary's constant referencing to us during the Newcastle game was hilarious (Shearer got seemingly peed off with it at one point ) and Manish's loaded questions to Holloway were classic: "You got a nice reception at QPR Ollie, I can't imagine you'll get the same at Plymouth or Leicester..." "Err, no..."
