Matt Posted 24 December 2009 Posted 24 December 2009 Does it coincide with the 10.2 patch? On the SI forums everyone is saying that the new patch makes previous tactics that were godlike on 10.1 now redundant! I'm using Steam so am I right in thinking new patches are automatically added on when using steam? Bloody hell, is there any way of reverting back to the previous patch?
DB11 Posted 24 December 2009 Posted 24 December 2009 I'm using Steam so am I right in thinking new patches are automatically added on when using steam?Bloody hell, is there any way of reverting back to the previous patch? Yes. If you use Steam it automatically updates. You can revert only by uninstalling and then reinstalling (but then Steam will update it anyway!!)
Matt Posted 24 December 2009 Posted 24 December 2009 Yes. If you use Steam it automatically updates. You can revert only by uninstalling and then reinstalling (but then Steam will update it anyway!!) and presumably lose my current game, and go back to the 1st original game where I was stuggling anyway, The previous patch was by far the best for me, now it's shite.
Fox92 Posted 24 December 2009 Posted 24 December 2009 Had a brilliant run of 12 games without loosing and climbed to 7th all the way from 15th. Then, I lost at QPR away 3-2 and lost at home to Leeds 2-3 Beckford scored an offside goal and honestly it was the worst decision I have ever seen on Football Manager. So, I flipped out in the press conference and got banned for the next game at Stoke away, which I am playing now. If I don't make the play offs this season, thats it!
DB11 Posted 24 December 2009 Posted 24 December 2009 and presumably lose my current game, Not at all. Just save the save game file My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2010\games to your desktop or something and put it back after
CosbehFox Posted 24 December 2009 Posted 24 December 2009 Francois Zoko has the ability to make any League 2 side become incredible.
GLC Posted 25 December 2009 Posted 25 December 2009 just been offerred the man city job! Should i take it? Im notts county in the championship, hard choice
Matt Posted 25 December 2009 Posted 25 December 2009 just been offerred the man city job! Should i take it? Im notts county in the championship, hard choice I was offered the Fulham and Sheff United job - Not as good as being offered the Man City job, but was very tempted, I decided to turn it down as I am waiting for the Leicester job but Nigel Pearson is doing very well in the play-offs positions so think i'll be waiting a long time, besides do I really wanna fuk Leicester up - Which I blatantly would Despite doing very well at the moment with Shrewsbury.

Pearson got sacked 2 days later so i joined them bit of a shock James Milner at charlton has scored 33 in 42 games. He has a big club release clause so im snapping him up
DB11 Posted 25 December 2009 Posted 25 December 2009 I didn't just lose 8-1 to Liverpool First game in charge after taking over Plymouth. Only FA Cup though...
ousefox Posted 25 December 2009 Posted 25 December 2009 I managed to get Leeds to the Prem within 3 seasons but got bored so resigned. I just applied for the first job available which was Oxford. I won BSP in the first season, went up in the playoffs in League 2, and i am now 7th in League 1 having just beat Leicester 3-0!
Budweiser Posted 25 December 2009 Posted 25 December 2009 Been offered the Man Utd & Arsenal jobs after 3 consecutive promotions with Notts Co and 14th place finish in the Prem Currently 7th in the Prem with County.

JimmyK Posted 26 December 2009 Posted 26 December 2009 Whilst I rather like Steam, my heroically slow internet connection at home means that, having installed fm2010 at about 9pm, it's currently only 2/3 of the way through updating the game, at nearly 1 in the morning At least it carries on if your internet drops, which mine does reasonably often (yes, it truly is an awful connection)
The Doctor Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 won the conference north and fa trophy. going pretty well but i seem to have a whole sqaud of right wingers despite only 5 of my signings being classed as right wingers.
Matt Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 Has there been a new patch? Because I was going through a bad patch not being able to win, play well, e.t.c, I put it down to a new update/patch, but now i've just been on to have a game and i'm winning and play well again yet I haven't changed any of my tactics or anything.

Or maybe I was just lucky, Since posting that i've gone on a 3 match loss, and whatever I do changes nothing.

lildave3 Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 Finished my first season in the Championship with Norwich very strongly, and surged up to 13th. Quique and Halenar are amazing. John Bostock is absolute class, but only on loan for the last 2 seasons Hope I get him for a third.
SMX11 Posted 30 December 2009 Posted 30 December 2009 After cocking my Leicester game up, I have started with Notts County and currently romping the league (then again its not hard) I like the way half way through the season your finances suddenly get boosted
Fox92 Posted 31 December 2009 Posted 31 December 2009 Went on it for the first time in a week today, demolished Reading 6-1, beat Colchester 3-1, did Coventry 2-1 and then hammered Preston 2-0. Climbed upto 4th! Third season, 4th, 9 games left, hopefully, this is the season
Budweiser Posted 31 December 2009 Posted 31 December 2009 After finishing 4th in the prem with Notts Co, I had to qualify for the Champions League group stage. I was drawn against Fiorentina, so not the greatest. 10 minutes in at home and I was 2-0 down. Went on to lose the game 2-1. Then I went away, and I thought i'll resign if I don't qualify for the Champions League. 5 minutes in, Gignac double, 2-0 up. At half time, It was Fiorentina 0-5 Notts Co. Went down to 10 men with Toprak being sent off, but then added a sixth goal, with the game ending 6-1 Gignac netted 4. My best FM win I reckon

Now top of the conference national at christmas. 2 points clear with 3 games in hand.
