JimmyK Posted 18 January 2010 Posted 18 January 2010 trying to re-install FM 09, installed fine but when ever i try to run it a window opens saying my trial period has ended and i need to register the game. Anyone now how to avoid this because it's set up on a computer with no internet at present and i don't plan on making a 5 minute phone call to get a couple of digits to let run a game i've already brought? Did you install with Uniloc rather than Steam? If so, you need to download patch 9.3.1 off their website, it came out when fm10 came out, somehow the uniloc system no longer works properly with it so they released a final patch disabling it. There you go Edit: Re-reading your post, I think I misunderstood. In theory you have to register by phone then, but if you can somehow transfer said patch over and install it you could probably avoid the whole registration.

Matt Posted 18 January 2010 Posted 18 January 2010 Its amazing how you go through spells where you can't stay away from this game then you stop all of a sudden and don't play it for ages, then when you do play again you can't stay away again. At moment i've stopped and not playing the game, just doesn't appeal at the moment, don't fancy playing it. Anyone else like this?

ramboacdc Posted 18 January 2010 Posted 18 January 2010 im getting there now ive spent nearly a week on it starting my first season with my new team swindon town who just got relegated to league 2. I quit leicester after losing 4-2 to forest in the premiership and quit out of shame! shearers in charge now but as usual with all relegated teams all the decent players are on their way out. going to get some players in and try and win a trophy or title this season.
Fox92 Posted 18 January 2010 Posted 18 January 2010 Dropped from 3rd to 7th in League 2 now. Had some horrid results of late
coale39 Posted 18 January 2010 Posted 18 January 2010 Big Yann and Riera went on frees. Looking to ger better in 2011. And hopefully not get sacked. Big Yann has scored 20 goals in the league and its feb. First season.

Past two league games against tranmere and hereford, both won 2-0. Sit in 2nd behind Cheltenham on the alphabet.

The Doctor Posted 19 January 2010 Posted 19 January 2010 Your on the wrong thread now well the 09 thread will be completely unused making it pointless posting in there so i'll stay in here to post my insane signings, However on this game Kevin Doyle will not be making a return to ac milan.
dandannieldanok Posted 19 January 2010 Posted 19 January 2010 Now my exams are out of the way I've started with Blackburn, determined to make a success of it. Pretty decentish start: played 10 won 4 drew 2 lost 4 The defeats include Chelsea, Man City and Liverpool so not too fussed about that stat so far. Just had probably my best win on FM2010 so far; beat top-of-the-league Man Utd 2-0 at Ewood Park, completely dominating the game from start to finish.......woodwork hit 3 times to their 0, 6 clear cut chances to their 0, 15 shots on goal. Should have been a far bigger scoreline but oh well. Team: Robinson Chimbonda Samba Givet Olsson Emerton Bernardo (on loan)...........this guy is a real gem, £1m to get him on loan but definitely worth it Huddlestone (on loan) Gamst Pedersen McCarthy di Santo (on loan)
Fox92 Posted 21 January 2010 Posted 21 January 2010 Have had a terrible time now, dropped from the play offs to 10th. I keep loosing every game.
General Smuts Posted 21 January 2010 Posted 21 January 2010 Worleys gone for nowt and Aruna Dindane, Adel Taarabt and Mark Randall are in on frees. Almost had Dervite on a free but then it went all odd and told me id offered 2.5m for him. Top of the league and unbeaten after 5 games, only dropped 2 points so far. Finally found a formation that is working: Ashdown/Murphy Volz/Yakubu - Hobbs - Broadfoot - Stoor/Mathijssen/HelanSInclair/Ricketts - Schniederlin - Randall/Weso - Taarabt/SarpongGallacher/King/WellensDindane/Harewood Plus i have a few youths pushing for places too and i've been training most of my players to play in more than one position.

dandannieldanok Posted 21 January 2010 Posted 21 January 2010 Can anyone recommend me a good left-footed/left-sided centre half. Got a fair amount of cash to spend, the younger the better but I'm open to all suggestions.

The Doctor Posted 22 January 2010 Posted 22 January 2010 got bored with Leicester (not enough cash) so took charge of Man Utd (borrowed 83 mill from Man city in exchange for a youth teamer), Spent almost entire transfer budget on Glen Johnson, Marek Hamsik, Joao Moutinho, Miguel Veloso, Yuri Zhirkov, Sotiris Ninis ((sp)greek winger found by scouts), Viudez (Uruaguayian kid from AC Milan), Alexadre Pato, Vagner Love and Yannick Djalo. Spent 116 million on them, Sold Park Ji Sung to AC Milan and Ben Foster to Chelsea. 5 games in, 13 points, 2 behind arsenal in first but with a game in hand. Man U 3-2 Spurs Middlesbrough 1-1 Man U Blackburn 0-2 Man U Man U 3-0 Chelsea Villa 0-2 Man U Champions League Man U 4-1 Roma League Cup Southampton 0-2 Man U Community Shield Pompey 1-1 Man U (4-5 on Penalties) European Super Cup Zenit 0-1 Man U.
Fox92 Posted 22 January 2010 Posted 22 January 2010 Got offered the QPR job and opted to go there and leave Wycombe Wanderers (in 7th, League 2) after a good 8 months at Adams Park. The QPR team that I have took over is really poor, the morale is down and some players want to leave etc. Played Stoke away the first game, who are top of the league, and lost 5-1. I do always loose my first game in charge of a club though and hopefully I can turn it around with 7 games left and push for the play offs.

JoeyB Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 Started with Southampton the other day thought it would be a pretty difficult game but its turned out quite easy and fun, December 19th and im sitting 7th 11 points behind the leaders who are Brighton <_< The only players who i have really brought in was Gary O'Connor from brum for 1.75M, also brought in Fitz Hall & Mark Little (QPR & Wolves) on season long loans. I have sold Paul Wotton - Plymouth - 110k Anthony Pulis - Wrexham - 2.5k Lee Holmes - Bristol city - 55k Simon Gillet - Peterborough - 100k When fit my starting 11 is DaviesLittle -- Jaidi -- Hall -- HardingSchneiderlin --HammondLallana ----------------------------------- MillsO'Connor -- Saganowski/ Lambert
General Smuts Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 Gonna have a crack with Luton. Made a few half decent signings including the new Luton starlet Levi Porter who upon signing said: New Luton youngster pays homage to Peutrill Luton's new signing Levi Porter has said the opportunity to work with his idol Karl Peutrill was too good to turn down. More or less what he told me at the match against talking balls. Shazam.
