West Ham vs Millwall

I'm wondering if the 4 mile cushion between me and Upton Park is enough...!

Amidst the general racism on one of the Millwall boards it would appear they are quite up for this game. I bet the police can't wait.

It will be hyped up big time, but it's only the carling cup second round remember.

Do you really think they care?

They've not played each other in years, I suspect it will be carnage in and around London on the day.

Despite all the plastic nobs that will be all over this fixture because of Green Street, this game is massive to the people that support the respective teams.

Will be very interested to see how the Governing Bodies go about ticket distribution.

Can someone explain why this is a big game?

Local derby (very local given that fans will work with each other etc). Both fans possess big hooligan elements or at least did. The last time they played it was a right-cockney knees up and also the first time that away fans had been allowed the bottom tier of the away end at The Den!!

there is no way milwall will be allowed anymore than 2,000 tickets. 5,000 milwall fans in west ham would cost stupid sums to police. Very interested to see ticket distribution.

Ched last night "Brown will have to pull the troops out of Afghanistan for this one"

Me "Someone in the Met Police has Just resigned"

'Kin Huge game this.

I think that the last time these two teams met there was something like 1,100 police officers at the game!

So should be interesting!

Convenient that I live slap bang between the two stadiums, upton park is about a mile away. Fun.

Huge derby. Must have been four or five years since they last played?

If anyone's got the book "Mad For It" by Andy Mitten, there's a great chapter on the rivalry between the 'Ammers and Milllllllllllllllll. It's all to do with the Thames dockyards from which both teams arose apparently.

Watched Green Street last night to get me up for it, 'let's fackin have em'.

On a serious note, this will be massive. East London will be crazy on the day of the game, hope it's on TV.

To add to this, Leyton Orient are facing Stoke in the second round at Brisbane Road. CARNAGE.
