Cannot believe there has only been a reported 2 arrests.

Just because they haven't been reported doesn't mean it hasn't happened :)

The FA really needs to grow a pair and clamp down on this hard.

Both should be ejected from the FA Cup and League Cup this season and a wildcard draw made to determine their replacements. The only way to stop this happening in the future is to stamp on such incidents with equal severity shown towards both clubs.

Well your mind is wrong, millwall have do huge amounts over many years to stop the violence yes the odd incident happens maybe once a season if that ,you have to get things in perspective they cant control every fan that follows their club I'm sure most of the fans causing the trouble today dont even go to games, also I know if I was attacked I would do my upmost to defend myself does that make me a hooligan?, england does seem to have an OTT mentality where every little incident is blown into a huge news strory, this of course should be dealt harsly and it will be but to punish the vast majority of well behaved west ham and millwall fans is stupid.

I disagree - their fans do seem to have a common mentality - 'No one likes us we don't care' is heard at every game. If they have done so much then how come we have reports of a stabbing, darts being thrown and gangs of up to a dozen beating up a single fan??

I'm sorry, but this sort of thing seems to follow Millwall and they have to face the music on this one.

What happens if they are in the same league again? Make them play in front of an empty stadium? In fact weren't they both in the championship a few seasons ago? I know they have had history back in the day but im sure in there last few meets they didn't have this much trouble.

If necessary, yes. It has certainly looked necessary tonight with one man potentially fighting for his life and hundreds of police officers having to be taken away from their day-to-day duties in the capital to deal with some tossers who can't go to a match without kicking someone's head in.

I think Jack Collison just summed the night up.

And deserves a fuck of alot of credit.

And a Millwall fan told the BBC: "It was like a war zone outside the stadium. There was fighting all round.

"I brought my kids with me tonight and they've seen some violence that is indescribable."

Sorry, but what did he expect? You can't take your kids to a Millwall vs West Ham game and then complain about violence, that's like ordering a Calzone Pizza and complaining that its only taking up half your plate.

But you shouldn't have to, that's the whole point!!

Why the hell should families have to put up with the stupid actions of a thuggish minority. These are held in high esteem by twats like Danny Dyer.

They should have their faces on the HD pictures that Sky took - lock them up for 5 years each. Absolute scum, makes me ashamed to be a football fan.

What did he say?

came off the pitch in tears, having played after his dad was killed in a motorbike accident 2 days ago.

Just took a drive down to Upton Park - MADNESS

Fires everywhere, smashed up windows, glass and bricks all in the road, mobs of people walking round chanting and getting hold of anything they can - bats, bits of fence, bricks etc

Makes you wonder why they bothered reducing the allocation in half? Fans still travelled down ticketless and it possibly caused more trouble outside the ground.
