I for one pray this doesn't happen we signed Dickov, Freund, at the ages of 35 and 36 and look where that got us.

Yes, but Dickov and Freund brought us a lovely rape case and as we haven't had a scandal for at least at few weeks now, we need a new one. An Edgar Davids/Wayne Brown spit roast could be exactly what the fans need right now.

If we got a good year outta him, whats the probs? he would kill this league even at 36!

Make Sappletiser the meat in the sandwich, have Chrissy P filming it and the club will make a packet at Christmas. :D

I know like most, I'm worried about what this might mean for the future of Stephen Clemence.

But its Edgar Davids!!!

Read this thread then think Edgar Davids in your head. I bet it makes you smile or giggle a little.

Edgar Davids.. At Leicester City.

I think this would be a terrible idea.

He's past it, hasn't played for ages, and would only disrupt the team.

We're playing well, only a few points off the top, and we're looking quite solid.

No thankyou.

Bore off you little bitch.

Smuts for once summed it up brilliantly look at that AC Milan side all over 30 and all would cruis into our first team. As soon as Davids was match-fit he would cruise into our eleven. Comparing Andy King to Edgar Davids is about as laughable as 'Andy King The Championships Frank Lampard'. lol

I for once would attend Leicester games if that stud had a Leicester shirt on and I would consider buying the shirt with him name on.

Edgar Davids?! :D

I think the thing that would be an issue would be his commitment. If he actually wanted to play and was up for it, he'd be class at this level for sure. If not, he's in danger of disappointing.

Seems like this a big publicity exercise from milan if you ask me (which you aint! ) even if he doesnt sign then we have had a fair bit of media attention concerning it, if he does then the profile of the club is raised internationally, equalling more revenue, recognition etc which i belive would be milans main goal with the signing.

as for his actual contribution to the team i think it would be very little to be honest, a 1yr deal with a few camio appearances when the camera,s are on us is proberbly about all we would see out of it and almost definatly what milan will expect of it. NP will now this but also knows that he would be valuble in perhaps attracting more usfull players to the club purely because of who he is.

as for davids himself im pretty sure that if he actually does still have the desire to play after a year out at 36, then leicester city wouldnt be top of his play list, i think we can rest assured that mr davids would come here because of the lucrative deal offered to him over 1yr rather than a burning desire to play football for leicester city, and his performances would reflect such.

Yeh Mandaric said he wouldn't be suprised if he was in talks with other clubs so your probably right. Brown tries to sign anyone & Magilton has alot of cash to splash around doesnt he?

To be honest, you should all stop questioning Davids ability and "can davids still do it?". I mean, were talking about one of the best midfielders of his time, and he wouldnt of lost all that class, even if he has lost some pace, he's still got his footballing brain, and hes got it all tucked up inside his head. He'll do a cracking job for us just sitting infront of the defence, tidying up & bringing others into play and possibly going on those driving runs that he use to do so many times, once hes fit of course. And also, with his footballing brain which someone of his class wouldnt of lost, he isnt going to be hoofing it up to howard is he? SIGN HIM UP!!

Seriously, Davids would probably make all the other midfielders in the championship look silly.. Infact all the players in the championship look silly.. Davids will be a different class IF he signs.
