Stuliasz Posted 26 October 2009 Posted 26 October 2009 Surely they have to brought back in for QPR? Neilson has failed to convince anyone and McGivern based on tonight's shocking display isn't up to first team football just yet. McAnuff repeatedly took the piss out of the lad and Routledge is twice the player of McAnuff. I worry for Friday if they aren't brought back.
Corky Posted 26 October 2009 Posted 26 October 2009 Agreed. Neilson's crap but he did alright this evening, McGivern wasn't shocking by any means but Berner is better in my opinion.
SirBlueFoxington Posted 26 October 2009 Posted 26 October 2009 I must say Neilson actually looked good tonight. But still Morrison and Berner need to come back.
sdb Posted 26 October 2009 Posted 26 October 2009 Thought Neilson was good tonight. McGivern's positioning on a number of occasions was frightning - but I think he's a decent player. Would go with Bruno for Fri though.
J.Lisemore Posted 26 October 2009 Posted 26 October 2009 Its got to be Berner on Friday. McGivern did OK tonight but id much prefer Berner.
Daggers Posted 26 October 2009 Posted 26 October 2009 I must say Neilson actually looked good tonight. Gay. You'll not last long in a BNP/Thracian Britain.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 26 October 2009 Posted 26 October 2009 Neilson wasnt too bad this evening but still thoguht he got too far forward as usual whilst his last ball is woeful. McGivern looked inexperienced tonight and had a torid time aftert they brought that sub on.
maddog Posted 26 October 2009 Posted 26 October 2009 100% Berner needs to be back, but Neilson made some very good tackles and was unlucky at times when he went forward.
Hitesh Posted 26 October 2009 Posted 26 October 2009 I agree, either way we need to stop their quick wingers and I'd rather have Berner and Morrison who are better tacklers and can distribute the ball much better than the two that played today. Having said that, I like the idea he is rotating them, keeps them on their toes!
scinnell Posted 26 October 2009 Posted 26 October 2009 Neilson was good, McGivern was crap, Must say at the start of ther game i had a felling he was crap, Just look at his hair!!!! It was like bleched!!!
Guest Bilo Posted 26 October 2009 Posted 26 October 2009 Play Berner at left-back if we don't want to be destroyed on Friday. McGivern just isn't ready to face an in-form team at the moment. Morrison or Neilson is a tough one though, Morrison has come on in leaps and bounds and impresses me greatly but Neilson looked solid tonight, one of his better performances. Gun to the head, I'd choose Morrison for his better distribution but would have misgivings over his lack of experience.
BedsFox Posted 26 October 2009 Posted 26 October 2009 Bruno for McGivern is a must Away at a tough team I'd go for Neilsen. A stopper, and a tough one at that, rather than risk Morrison's inexperience at the position
Soar Fox Posted 26 October 2009 Posted 26 October 2009 Berner in for McGivern is a must, he wasn't close enough to his man and most of there attacking play was coming dwon his side.. Neilson I thought played well but he dosen't fill me with confidence, I didn't think Morrison deserved to be dropped in the first place.
Gaffer Posted 26 October 2009 Posted 26 October 2009 Actually rated Neilson tonight, but bring back Bruno for the goal machine.
Ozwin Posted 26 October 2009 Posted 26 October 2009 Yeah, like people have said, Nielson played well tonight. Looked assured and made some nice tackles. Gotta get Berner back though, he's been probably out best player this season so it was a strange one that he wasn't picked the last 2 games.

I partially agree, but we've not conceded with this back four yet.
Koke Posted 27 October 2009 Posted 27 October 2009 McGivern got ripped to pieces time & time again by McAnuff. And Routledge is twice the player McAnuff is. I honestly feared every time Reading attacked down our left side. Berner should be back please. Neilson was OK - improved on his recent performances, but he still doesn't fill me with confidence. It does say a lot about his credentials when a CB by trade is being favoured ahead of him. Very average player, Neilson is.

Maybe, it's just me, but I actually think Morrison is a better RB than he is a CB. He just adds a bit more going forward, he has a decent cross on him, as well as being a good defender.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 27 October 2009 Posted 27 October 2009 HAHAHAHA! Yeah Neilson was quite good this evening. But hang on, I'm meant to hate him. Drop him now!
lildave3 Posted 27 October 2009 Posted 27 October 2009 Bruno in is something I wouldn't mind, but can't complain if he keeps the same team.
Simo86 Posted 27 October 2009 Posted 27 October 2009 Berner has to start on Friday! Routledge will rip McGivern to pieces! Not too bothered about Morrison coming back in as Neilson had a decent game last night.
willchafer Posted 27 October 2009 Posted 27 October 2009 neilson made a good all round effort last night but as for mcgivern he was shocking he let the chap get past him everytime and this caused a three man defence effectivly, oh and talk about being out of position
Alf Bentley Posted 27 October 2009 Posted 27 October 2009 Bruno for McGivern is a mustAway at a tough team I'd go for Neilsen. A stopper, and a tough one at that, rather than risk Morrison's inexperience at the position Seconded! Neilsen v Morrison is a close call just now. Against a weaker team, where we'd be on the front foot more, I might still prefer Morrison. Against QPR we're likely to be doing a lot of defending - and defensive solidity is Neilsen's strong point. He just needs to keep playing short, easy balls (or crosses) when in possession - classy passing is not his thing! McGivern was OK v Palace, but awfully naive last night. Quite apart from the team's interests, Bruno should come in v QPR as a complete nightmare for McGivern (v. likely based on last night) could destroy his confidence for ages.

Not too bothered about Morrison coming back in as Neilson had a decent game last night. This, Berner must play and I dont know why he was dropped in the first place as he has been the most consistent performer.
