Nick Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 I would. At 1-1 I actually remember thinking if we lose then I'd still be proud of the performance. To get the result we deserved just makes it even sweeter. - James yeah, sorry - it wasn't a reference to you, I too was pleased with the style when we were 1-0 down!
Babylon Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 At 1-1 I actually remember thinking if we lose then I'd still be proud of the performance. I said the same in the pub.
Frenzied Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 Get the fook in. Brilliant performance. For the majority of the game we were the better side. Second half we were first to the ball almost every time. We deserve to be joint top.
Fosse Boy Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 Still buzzing. Amazing night. This. We played some brilliant football tonight. Watching City has rarely been this satisfying. Good atmosphere too, livened up a lot more in the second half. We were on Row D and stood for the whole game, and for those who wanted to sit there were five or six rows in the block behind the goal for people to do that. Everyone's a winner. Also, was anyone else near the dude with the Rasta flag? He was right at the front just to the left of the goal, although he kept popping off to the concourse seemingly every few minutes. He is my new hero. I've never seen "Ooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhh TWAT, YOU'RE SHIT AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" have such an effect on a goalkeeper as it did on Cerny either! Thought Fryatt had dribbled it too close to him but he tucked it away. Brilliant.
Bryn Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 Best performance I've seen from a Leicester side since we dicked Sunderland. You honestly won't see a more coherent and exemplary display from a team at this level. It doesn't matter than we didn't thrash them, that's not the mark of a true team. The mark of a true team is going to the form team in the league, in their back yard, when they still look undeniably talented, and coming away with three points and their dignity in a doggy bag.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 Fantastic night out, played brilliantly, fans were good although it would have been better if we were all together on the upper tier, it was hard to get everyone singing the same song.. Before the game I would have taken a draw, and I very rarely think that. The performance and result was awesome, just like Wayne Brown showing how much it meant to him after the game. :) I actually thought the QPR fans were ok, but then I had been at Reading on Monday so my standards may have slipped, it wasn't the worst atmosphere I have ever seen. I actually love Nigel Pearson, the squad and of course, the club.

Thought the 1st half was pretty even but was so glad to go in at the break having got level. Said at half time to the lads I was with that i fancied us to win it and Fryatt did not let us down! Just hoping these goals now give him the confidence back to go on a run for us. My throat is absolutey shagged from all the shouting tonight but it was worth it! Looking forward to going to the West Brom game next wk'end UP THE FOXES NA NA NAH!!!

The only intelligible song of note I heard from them was "West London is ours, West London is ours, Fuck off Chelsea, West London is ours!" Also, what was the deal with all the old-school rattles their fans had? Is it 1952? Thought they were banned... I want one.
Bryn Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 I'm well intrigued to know what Fabio thought of our English players, I mean obviously he wasn't there to watch them and isn't going to give them much thought from, well since the final whistle, but he must have been rating them in his head whether he wanted to or not.

dimmerchant Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 we werr betar then reall madrdi and barcaleno, bruno is heroo !
lcfc_jme Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 Stood on the very front row despite the best efforts of some fat ****ing wank-pot to have the likes of C-man, lildave and co. thrown out. Made an appearance on Sky TV allegedly as well, so top MediaWhore marks for that. Definitely worth the 3 points, thoroughly enjoyable London away trip again. Absolutely buzzing, got a ridiculously sore throat, a very sore arm and 2 badly bruised/cut legs but all well, well worth it. Some beautifully iconic moments occurred tonight as well, sure I'll recount them at some point and others may do so before I get round to it. UNBELIEVABLE JEFF.
Tommeh Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 Standing front row leaning on the sponsor boards was absolutely outstanding. Our turnout was excellent tonight. Great goal celebrations for the 2nd, simply immense night. Just got in , still buzzing.

I thought things looked pretty harmonious where you were? There seemed to be an understanding that if you wanted to sit, you went behind the goal...
Koke Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 UNBELIEVABLE JEFF. We were immense tonight. Seventeen thousands people inside Loftus Rd and millions more across the country witnessed tonight a Leicester side who out-fought and out-classed an inform QPR side at their own back yard. That isn't a an easy feat. Every single player gave 100% and I'm well proud of the lads. And Nigel Pearson was bang on the money tonight - tactically he owned Jim Magilton. We defended like a bunch of beasts protecting our territory, and we attacked like hungry wounded lions. This is the best Leicester performance I have seen in years. What a night out. Fantastic start to the weekend. Tomorrow I'll be waking up to Jeff & the boys, a few drinks and blunts and enjoy the missus' cooking. It's nights like these that makes my cheeks warm on cold November nights. Chuffed to bits.
lcfc_jme Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 I thought things looked pretty harmonious where you were? There seemed to be an understanding that if you wanted to sit, you went behind the goal... Ahhhh yes, this would be after lildave, C-man, Katy and Fez were relocated as a result of said mans' moaning to stewards about standing. He actually swore at me before he asked me to sit down. Odd fellow he was. Had everyone removed, disappeared 5-10 mins before half-time and didn't return. Tommeh and me moved further into the row and everyone joined in the second half. Things were brilliant there.
lildave3 Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 Fucking amazing. Performance, night, everything. Plus i'm on TV AGAIN! Sky can't get enough. My face when Fryatt scored has been captured. Pure emotional roar.
Captain... Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 Hello, new to the forum, I'm a foxes fan living in Spain. I have been lucky enough to see the last 2 games on the internet and whist they were very different games in terms of quality, there was one thing evident in both games, and that was fight. We didn't play well against Reading but we fought for everything and we deserved the result on effort. Against QPR we played fantastic, but we showed the same level of fight and spirit, just a little more quality. I have always been a proud Leicester city fan but tonight I am over the moon, not just for today's performance but for the fact that we finally seem to have a team/squad that knows what it means to play for the foxes. I don't know where this season will lead us but it has surpassed my expectations so far. Capt. S Ps Did anyone else hear Holloway admit he wasn't good enough for us?

The fight and never-say-die attitude has returned. Even when we play shite we can be sure that the players will run their bollocks to the ground. Nigel doesn't accept anything less than 100% effort from the players. Players like Martyn Waghorn and Richie Wellens made me proud tonight. If any of them want any babies, they can give me a ring any time. And welcome to the forum, mate.
harpendenfox Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 http://www.statto.com/football/stats/engla...form-table/full Sorry that Forest get in the way off an almost perfect form picture. Interesting to note where the Baggies are over the last six. I am absurdly excited about next week's game already.
leftsideoverhere Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 So, who's got the whole game recorded then? I'd pay to watch that a second time.
Ajax Treesdown Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 Wayne Routledge and Hogan Ephraim are on Soccer AM shortly......hehe!!!
marbelladave Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 So, who's got the whole game recorded then? I'd pay to watch that a second time. I'd pay to watch it for the first fooking time!..... I have been banging on all season that we need to cut out the long ball, play a passing game, without the big target man and get some pace either side of the central striker. We have played in this way for short periods in a number of games but last night it appeared that we played pretty much in that style for all of the 90 minutes. A big step forward I think and I wasn't even there to see it, despite having a ticket! Fook it, I'm off to the gym, maybe they'll have some highlights on Sky...... :fc:
Guest Bilo Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 Our goals Thanks for those mate. Beautifully worked first goal, summed up our performance of pass and move with QPR unable to handle it. Brilliant. Second goal largely down to the fans getting on top of Cerny I think. Good finish from Fryatt though and nice to see Waggy going utterly mental.
