Shrenchel Posted 9 December 2009 Posted 9 December 2009 Stivesfox. Fvck off. No. Fvck off, come back and then fvck off again. The team are probably wishing they'd played shit all season if they're going to get the abuse of a thousand misinformed ****** when they stop amazingly overachieving. There are some proper philistines on this forum.
MC Prussian Posted 9 December 2009 Posted 9 December 2009 The end is nigh indeed. We've conceded eight in two. No word lost on the 15 in 18 before that. Proper fans and all, right.

eye666 Posted 9 December 2009 Posted 9 December 2009 I have to agree with those saying our problems are stemming from the midfield. Tonight the question has to be asked, where were they? No breaking down Bristol City's attacks, no pressure on them to make them work that bit harder, no cutting edge going forward. What I would do to have a Lennon and an Izzet right now! Oakley again disappoints and, in my eyes, is not good enough as a captain. Wellens and King can't seem to play together and N'Guessan was awful tonight. There's no width at all, no pace or running at defenders to whip a cross in. And of course, the usual hoof balls up top from the back. If that is going to be our main attacking tactic then sorry but Howard has to play simply to win the ball in the oppositions half. Gallagher and N'Guessan barely tried to win the ball in the air when it was played up to them and if they did often misjudged the flight of the ball. Finally, McGivern is, simply put, absolutely gash. I remember the Reading game where he got raped all game and it could have happened tonight had their winger got the ball more. Their first goal came as a result of McGivern getting done by simply running in a circle! Tonight was shocking and I worry now we're shipping goals. We're not going to score many goals the way we play, and if we're leaking more than the Titanic at the moment then I fear what the future holds as tonight was the worst game I've seen since the relegation season (thank fook I wasn't at the Forest game). Saturday is another day and another game, so hopefully Nigel will give the boys a roasting and sort it out.
Alf Bentley Posted 9 December 2009 Posted 9 December 2009 Let's have a bit of perspective here! Yes, overall, it was a poor performance and result, the second in a row. But, as usual, chance played a big part. The match started off pretty even, neither side creating much. Suddenly Sproule slalomed through about 3-4 defenders to score an excellent goal. A few minutes later, some geezer (Skuce?) smacks it in from 25m...on the back of a disastrous result in the previous game. Yes, it would've been good if someone had done a killer tackle on Sproule. Even more so, it would have been good if someone had closed down the geezer who had free rein to shoot from 25m for the 2nd goal...but it was pretty unlucky that either, never mind both, ended up as goals against...with the obvious loss of team confidence that resulted. Hobbs was also unlucky that his error on the edge of the opposing penalty area (!) led to a goal, though that does raise the issue of the covering defending. How much did Bristol City create tonight, apart from those goals? Not much. I remember Weale gathering 1 or 2 low, comfortable shots, the odd free-kick, but no great saves, shots off the woodwork, clearances off the line.. It went right for them, it went wrong for us...and we lost confidence...the serious problem!
Guest ttfn Posted 9 December 2009 Posted 9 December 2009 Hit the nail on the head midfield is our problem area, we are not creating and we are not stopping the opposition fromcarving us open, we need to put more pressure on the ball. Those calling for Fryatts head got a glimpse tonight of life without Matty, he is not going to score every chance otherwise he would be playing for Barcelona but he is the best striker at the club and one of the top scorers in the division in a side that is not creating many chances.
Fox92 Posted 9 December 2009 Posted 9 December 2009 I don't know what it is. I really don't. The opposition players seem to walk through the midfield and defence. Remember, two of the goals shouldn't have gone in.
Babylon Posted 9 December 2009 Posted 9 December 2009 Let's disregard the excellent, examplary start to the season now we're going through the inevitable bad patch, and make a shit load of knee jerk reactions! We're Leicester fans... knee jerk reactions is what we do best.
The Doctor Posted 9 December 2009 Posted 9 December 2009 Well we have been found out what poor players we have!!! Fryatt not good enough, Howard not good enough they would be the first two out the door. Nigel Pearson will now have to work for his coin I would imagine his new contract is back in Milans top draw and the gun and the bulletts load two games 8 goals, dont think any of us saw this coming. I worry for us Sheffield Wednesday at home they won last two games 4-1 both times. Where has it all gone wrong??? Why did we not get any loan players in? Does Mandaric have any money? Ian Stringers excuse is always the referees, referees Mr Stringer dont cost us 8 goals, two disgraceful performances I didnt attend this evening but those of us on Saturday deserve a refund for such shit!!! 19,000 people deserve a refund this evening. I for one will drive Fryatt to Hull!!!! our top scorer and a striker who may not score many but creates several problems for oppo defences and who scored 19 last time he got a full season with decent service in the championship are both not good enough? check the stats. Then come back.

I for one will drive Fryatt to Hull!!!! im sick of this fryatt banter. only rooney and torres perform week in week out. all other strikers have their strengths and weaknesses. heskey isnt a natural finisher but a hell of player, crouch is a lampost but an effective lampost, drogbas a donkey and a cheat but hes arguably the best striker in the world. fryatt doesnt perform for 90 mins for 46 games but hes proved how effective he is. im sick of everyone jumping on the fryatt bandwagon when we lose and he hasnt scored. without fryatt we would have only scored 13 goals out of 20 games in the league!!!!
fordy_uk2005 Posted 9 December 2009 Posted 9 December 2009 The best form of defence is attack. We can't attack, no width and no hope. correct. we have no real quality attacking options but untill we cvan improve the squad why not stick to how we got up to third in first place fryatt howard two wingers instead of changing team all the time trying to play kermagrant , or all 3 central midfielders

Neilson wasn't playing so they can't critize him for doing nothing wrong, howard wasn't playing so they couldn't rag on him so they move to the next player which just happens to be and will almost certaintly always be fryatt regardless of how he performs.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 9 December 2009 Posted 9 December 2009 Our strikers must be the laughing stock of the Championship. All those who moaned about Paul Dickov, should eat their own shit!
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 9 December 2009 Posted 9 December 2009 I think we have been found out. Its obvious we are vulnerable down both wings and when quick players run at the defence. Sheff Wed really is a must-win game now, and I hope NP gets it right this time round with tactics and selection.
StanSP Posted 9 December 2009 Posted 9 December 2009 Our strikers must be the laughing stock of the Championship. All those who moaned about Paul Dickov, should eat their own shit! Even the striker that is 4th in the Top Scorers list for this league?? Dickov is performing at another club. He didn't perform here. I bet if he did come back here he would do bollocks.

Corky Posted 9 December 2009 Posted 9 December 2009 Our strikers must be the laughing stock of the Championship. All those who moaned about Paul Dickov, should eat their own shit! Dickov has scored two goals this season. Our two main strikers, Fryatt and Waghorn, have scored 10 and 5 respectively. Dickov would've made a massive difference, as he showed last season with his barnstorming goals record.
davieG Posted 9 December 2009 Posted 9 December 2009 Our strikers must be the laughing stock of the Championship. All those who moaned about Paul Dickov, should eat their own shit! I'd sooner eat my own shit than pay to see Dickov perform the way he did for us this season.

Daggers Posted 9 December 2009 Posted 9 December 2009 All those who moaned about Paul Dickov, should eat their own shit! I hope you don't get accepted onto the next series of 'Come Dine With Me'. And in that vein: wouldn't it be good it they did a version of it called 'Come Dine With M.E.': where no one got to eat anything because they were too tired to cook.

gibbom Posted 9 December 2009 Posted 9 December 2009 Nigel Pearson really needs to sort it out, after conceding 8 goals in 2 games and creating hardly any chances at the other end. We have Waghorn who has probably been the best player in a poor team recently missing for the next 3 games. We are playing players out of posistion, eg Gallagher at left mid, we should be playing dyer out wide left and n'guessan on the right, because we have been playing with no width on the wings. Also stop playing brown, he never gets a foot in and just carry's on backing off, which has cost us against west brom and nottinhgam forest, i would much rather have morrison at center back and neilson back in the team at right back
