I agree with what Marbelladave said (can't believe it), Gilbert right back, shift Morrison inside until Tunch is fit. no reflection of quality, but the point is we have different levels of experience in that position and it would surprise me if pearson will spend any cash (let alone 750k) on a right back when we have options there, i don't believe we have that luxury

And, you know, that the goalkeeper gets stick more than any other player.. yes i do. that could possibly be because i've played goalkeeper in PE and park football for 6 years and been blamed for every single goal and been unable to blame my defenders because, well i don't seem to have any, they all go missing.

Our defence is a decent/steady mid-table Championship defence. Our defence contains 2 possibly 3 players of top six Championship worthiness. Our defence maybe one fella when fit that could handle the prem week in week out at his best. Our defence contains no real/raw pace. Gilbert when he first came I thought gave the ball away a bit much, though by the time he left I would have welcomed him into the side with open arms. He is quick and will have improved playing each day against the pace of Arsenal forwards in training. 750K - that would be a very reasonable price. Yes please. Can't help thinking this would be a bit too good to be true. Sign him up. Oh and maybe get shut of the club Captain and get a new defensive centre-mid and a proven right winger who can cross a ball too...... That'd do me.

The thing is, goalkeepers shouldn't really get blamed unless they through the ball to an opposition player, score an own goal on purpose etc etc but they do because they are in goal and it's them that concede. The defence may go missing, but its always the goalkeeper that gets the stick.
