My favourite players growing up was Steve Walsh, and on England scale it was Paul Gascoigne. One was shagging team mates wives behind their back, and the other is an alcoholic wife beating shithead. Footballers are entertainers, not role models. I grew up just fine and became a good productive member of society. Gascoigne and Walshie had absolutely no bearing on my upbringing, or anyone else that I know for that matter. Tre dat. People are saying because its England, has not effect on the matter as far as I'm concerned because if you do it to a club team mate I personally thinks its worse, you train with that person everyday, see them everyday, play with them everyweek and can have a lot more effect on your other team mates. Do people seriously think this will have any effect on the United, Liverpool, Villa and Spurs players in the squad for the WC? No it wont, they wont be arsed by this at all, they will be fully in support of Terry as captain because they as players and we as fans know this is England's best chance of doing well in a World Cup since Italia '90 and if they let an affair get in the way of this then they are stupider than I already thought they were. If Bridge doesnt want to play for England while Terry is in the squad then let him, gives us a chance to bring a young Keiran Gibbs through and let him get valuable experience in the England set up as cover for Ashley Cole.
