Dylan Posted 30 March 2010 Posted 30 March 2010 still not got a point from a top 6 side away this season. and those moaning about Waggy's "goal" not being given just remember a couple of weeks ago Andy King got 1 that never crossed the line Hopefully its the case at the end of the season. Cause then we'd be in top 6!
RowlattsFox Posted 30 March 2010 Posted 30 March 2010 We may have lost to Cardiff, Forest and Swansea away but we've beat em all at home. Positive thinking

I am now expecting an unfair goal to be given to us against West Brom. Just to even it up.
C-man Posted 30 March 2010 Posted 30 March 2010 Cheating like that by Gyepes should be punished by extra bans. Fvcking ridiculous.
Anish Posted 30 March 2010 Posted 30 March 2010 Fair play to Gyepes. If the roles were reversed and Brown or Hobbs did that to secure us a victory, we'd be lapping it up. It's hardly his fault that we couldn't make the extra man count in 20-25 minutes. Can't really comment on the game as I could only keep up to date on BBC Sport, but from those goals Weale really should've done better on both counts.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 30 March 2010 Posted 30 March 2010 Yeah not all doom and gloom hardly like we threw a 2-0 goal lead away against Coventry and then went on to lose our next 3 games and have got West Brom next is it ? Come on get behind Pearson and the team and keep supporting them because we will easily be in the play offs. What a bunch of idiots we have as fans, get fooking real. Wheels have well and truely fell off. WE'RE NOT GOING TO BE IN THE PLAY OFFS.
Super_horns Posted 30 March 2010 Posted 30 March 2010 Hey guys.. Don't worrry...we'll give you a helping hand towards the play-offs on the 17th! Not won in 13 away games and unlike in September we totally look dfeated once going a goal down.

Shit, cheers for the confirmation. 3 games, one against the form side in the league, and two away from home at notoriously difficult places to go. Hardly the end of the world. Moron.

flanimal Posted 30 March 2010 Posted 30 March 2010 I think his point is that if we lose to West Brom and Blackpool win, there's one point in it. Psychologically, you'd expect Leicester to be slightly gutted with that. But, Leicester owe us a good performance, been a while. If there was ever a game to open up a can of whoopass, this is it.
carterfox90 Posted 30 March 2010 Posted 30 March 2010 gutted surely should have done better against 10 men but we always seem to struggle when that happens we would have all taken where we are now at the start of the season & if we dont make the play offs so be it we still have had a good season-would be nice to go to wembley though

MC Prussian Posted 31 March 2010 Posted 31 March 2010 Just come back from the game. Cardiff - modern stadium, shit atmosphere. I'd say they're even worse than us. And that against another fellow playoff contender. Hardly sung and when they did, it lasted for about five seconds. They only got loud towards the end, when everything was already settled. We lost thanks to a first half in which we never really showed up, in accordance with our poor displays against Coventry (for 70 minutes), Reading (one entire game), Derby (one terrible game). And now this. I've said it before and I say it again, our current midfield is non-existant, and Steve Walsh might have a point after all when he claims that we lack a leader on the pitch. At times, it looked like our central defenders were to act as ballboys to the strikers - actually, that already happened in similar style against Derby ****ing County last Saturday. I also recall Solano having to shift to central midfield a few times to get anything going by crossing the ball forward. There was no pressure from us coming through the middle, and the few tame attempts at getting at Cardiff's goal failed miserably. They hit us hard with the first goal, as we were still trying to establish ourselves. Cardiff offered little pressure in the first 45 minutes. They had one decent spell at the beginning, and then sat back and let us control the game. Or, rather, trying to control the game, as nothing really tangible came out of it. We had no definite goalscoring prowess in the first half, Waghorn once more all alone up front, Gallagher surprisingly put on the flank where he's done nothing of any use in the past - another talent wasted in an odd position. King remained anonymous once more, so did Wellens. A few, unfruitful runs on each side couldn't manage to cover up our attacking frailties. And, to be honest, I thought Neilson did fairly well as left-back. (Then Waghorn's goal that (judging by the TV cameras) clearly crossed the goal line just after about 40 minutes. Shocking refereeing decision against us, but what else do you expect these days...) ... as I said, Cardiff had one decent spell in the first ten minutes of the game, and then again after exactly 43 or so minutes when they hit us hard a second time. Out of the blue. 2-0. Bam. Death blow. Game over. Or so you'd think. Clearly signs of a side that knows how to deal with the pressure of a closing season whilst facing immediate league opposition. They took their few chances well (and obviously have a red-hot striker in Whittingham, something we don't have at the moment). Tell you what, not only did our midfield go missing, I also believe our strikeforce has lost their killer instinct (then again, one issue is closely related to the other). What's the saying again? "Feed the strikers and they'll score". Howard did just that and it worked. Shame we couldn't threaten the Bluebirds' defense some more after their player got sent off. We tried, but we didn't try hard enough and at times, the build-up was so complicated and horrendous, it was a pain to watch from the stands. The only good thing about this game is that the team effort in the second half showed glimpses of hope for the remaining games this season. Having said that, it's so disappointing the team didn't show up earlier - imagine, we could've won this!!! The skill's there, but the will...? I think Adams was a big factor in adding some more weight in the middle. Fresh feet 'n all. I can't single out one player that actually stood out today. Can't be defense, because they were at fault for the two goals against. Midfield? Which midfield? Probably Steve Howard then. One of the few whose efforts didn't go entirely missing. As if freezing cold temperatures and a crap first half hadn't already been enough to handle. I'm still freezing. And I shudder thinking about how West Brom will tear us apart comes Friday. Brrr...
Fox You Forest Posted 31 March 2010 Posted 31 March 2010 It's starting to become far too regular that we have one half of utter toss and a half playing really well, We'd have got something from the game tonight had we played as well in the first half as we did in the second. I actually thought Spearing had a decent game in midfield he constantly found space in between their midfield and defence, good shift from big Steve also. Feels much like the cup game there, two lapses and we've been done.
J.Lisemore Posted 31 March 2010 Posted 31 March 2010 Not long got back. Rubbish first half and a decent 2nd half. What a hero that Gyepes is for them, Vaughan would have buried that. Oh and VIDEO TECHNOLOGY PLEASE. <_<
Dan Posted 31 March 2010 Posted 31 March 2010 What a complete joke that was. Another prime example of Leicester losing to a piss poor side. Gabor Gyepes is a cheat, it just proves its not a sport at all, its a money influenced joke and I think the fact players will morallesly do things like this proves there's something not right. The referee was awful, and his officials, I just don't get it anymore, how can the standard be so poor? That was clearly over the line, theres no way the linesman could miss it. I'm just thankful that Blackpool have to play Newcastle, Forest and Doncaster.
danielpholt Posted 31 March 2010 Posted 31 March 2010 Lets be honest, if Jack Hobbs were in the same position, you'd hope he'd go and do the same thing. He got a red card, we should then move on and try to grab the equaliser.
marbelladave Posted 31 March 2010 Posted 31 March 2010 A few quick points before I have to go out. We started poorly and were ripped apart down both flanks, unco-ordinated and lacking in confidence came to mind. The goal, when it came was pretty much expected and although Weale saved the first attempt his parry was straight out to McCormack who scored with ease. We did actually improve after the goal and looked to be doing much better until the second went in, the ball seemed to be bobbing around our box for an age before Whittingham scored. My impression at the time was that one of the central defenders (or maybe even Weale) should have made a decisive move and cleared but in their defense the area was pretty crowded. The Waghorn corner looked like nothing to me, a lot of our players appealed but with Cardiff on the counter we had to get back and defend and the moment was gone although quite a lot was said after the half time whistle. From where I was I did not have a clue what was going on, I was thinking a handball or something on the line. The appearance of Howard confirmed what I suspected from the first half, back to hoof ball. As usual Howard was very involved, got lots of touches and created absolutely nothing. With no one on the left and Gallagher increasingly coming inside, the hoof down the middle was pretty much our only form of attack. Apart from Vaughan's run onto a through ball that resulted in the red card, I am hard pushed to recall an attack of any real merit. Howard took his goal very well, showing a strikers predatory instinct that we have so lacked since Fryatts injury. To sum up; Makeshift back line took 20 minutes to settle, by which time Cardiff were 1-0 and in control. The midfield, even with Spearing, was samey and one dimensional when they had the ball, though mainly they were just bypassed by the hoof. N'Guessan and Gallagher deployed as wide midfielders was never going to work, it didn't. Waghorn is being ground into the dirt as the lone striker, not his game and getting less and less effective with every game. It rained, a lot!
Guest Posted 31 March 2010 Posted 31 March 2010 Never a red.. <_< A **** good tackle if it was a rugby match
Shrenchel Posted 31 March 2010 Posted 31 March 2010 Deserved something out of that. Thought we knocked it about pretty well but definitely lacking a bit of invention up top. Vaughan showed a bit of promise though. Is N'Guessan injured or was that tactical? Thought he did pretty well personally. Seemed a bit bizarre at the time, guess it worked though. Oh and that corner looked about 6 days over the line from where I was standing, fvcking mugged. Cardiff fans were as loud as Ive heard this season in the last 10, shame they couldn't be fvcked for the other 80. Mind you, we were pretty shit again though.
CosbehFox Posted 31 March 2010 Posted 31 March 2010 I am still livid at the most cynical foul I've seen in years. It was a disgrace and naff all will happen about it. It was blatant cheating. If it's difference between 6th and 7th I will be annoyed. No luck at all ATM.

No luck at all ATM. it would be a bigger disgrace if after the season is finished Cardiff are forced into administration, IF that happens who ever finishes 7th will no doubt try and sue the FL for allowing them into the play offs
