Cardiff v Leicester - Post Match

Exciting game on BBC live text (an advance on the days of Oracle and Ceefax).

Purely from that, it looked like we were all over them for the last 20 minutes - there was, I think, only one mention of a Cardiff attack in that time and that was an offside. I'm sure people have given out player ratings based on live text before (!) - I wouldn't go that far, but Gallagher and Wellens seemed to be involved, as did Howard and Adams when they came on. Little mention of N'Guessan, not much Waghorn either.

I have no idea whether this reflects the game. I do know, however, that I am feeling slightly sick with worry and will be calling on every superstition over the next 6 games...

We really need Scunny to beat Blackpool on Friday then hope we can somehow get a point at WBA.

Really would like to see Howard start, and I'm praying Bruno gets himself fit as we really are missing him.

Come on Leicester, sort it out please!

Well as I posted in the BBC predictor thread, we can lose this game, the one against West Brom and the one away at Preston and still make the play-offs even if teams around us do well.

I'm keeping my hopes up, especially as it sounds like we did a hell of a lot better in the second half.

Come on City! :scarf:

Shame. Just sounds like we were switched off in the first half and all over it in the second.

Not to get anything out of it is disappointing, but hopefully the better display in the second half will give them some confidence going into Friday? Not going there expecting anything now but just trying to find positives...

Anyway, I might be talking absolute bollocks so I'll refrain from further comment until someone who actually made the trip says something. lol

Just saw the goals on SSN, Weale should have done better at first goal, poor defending for second goal, ball looked about a mile over the line which would've made it 2-1. Good finish from Howard to get the goal back, boy nearly took Yann's top off of him for sending off.

Just seen our corner, that was a blatant goal, at least a yard inside the goal. The Cardiff defender rugby tackling Vaughan was comical lol

What I will say is this time 2 years ago we were fighting for our lives whilst WBA were flying, but we went there and won convincingly.

As per usual we turn up for half of the game.

As per usual we now have to get points off the top sides.

As per usual we'll cock up this Friday as we're on the TV.

We've done alright on TV this season :S

Shit referee again... happy with the second half performance from what I heard, against a quality team but they had 10 men, and we should be taking our chances if we're wanting to be up there by the end of the season. However, it is still in our own hands and I believe we WILL turn it around! Bring on the Baggies!! COME ON YOU BLUES!!!

Sounded like a better performance than the one on Saturday, Cardiff is a very tough place to go and it seems we've gained some pride back.

Friday will be majorly difficult but we can go there and get a positive result. Blackpool have a hard trip to Scunthorpe as well.

Another disappointing defeat but it seemed a more encouraging peformance atleast, lets not forget that Cardiff is a hard place to go.

Just seen the goals, both their goals were rebounds from Weale saves, defenders maybe could have reacted quicker. The corner looked way over the line from that angle and Vaughan would probably had scored if he wasn't rugby tackled. Things aint going for us at the minute.

Still in our hands. Pressure is on no doubt, could have done with a different game next though. Players have got to keep their heads up.

It's all well and good saying we did well in the 2nd half. But that's not good enough. We can't continue to be a one half team. It's costing us so badly, (as well as wank referees too) I can't even imagine how well we'd be doing if we actually managed to turn up for the whole game for most of this seasons games. I'm pleased Howard got a goal, it could do him the world of good. So frustrating that he gives so many fouls away though. I think we've been found out under this formation too. It's just not working anymore. We sounded much better when we went to 4-4-2.

Was pleased with Pearson's bold changes, people wanted change and you got it, it didn't pay off tonight but at least he gave it a go.

Who actually expected something from tonight?

Our TV record has been good this season W2 L1 D3. Is that a cock-up?
