The Doctor Posted 10 April 2010 Posted 10 April 2010 DJ is a waste of space here! and has been at Blackpool for the most of his loan spell. Ok so he has scored a few goals there but so has Dobbie, and many others. Its not like DJ has become there only scorer and is winning it for them on his own. Calm down people, we are doing OURSELVES many favours by shifting out to the seasiders; 1) He's off our wage bill (well some of the wage bill) 2) Hes out of our way. While he is here and not getting chances it makes other players from other teams look at us in a negative frame of mind (This could effect our future signings) 3) Hes putting himself in the shop window and making a name therefore meaning we are more likely to sell him (Hoorah!) and while we are all arguing about Blackpool and their hero DJ. Reading are slowly gathering points and will be 3 points behind us if they win there games in hand. Look at the bigger picture! Not only that, why are all your glasses half Empty all the time. Look up, Swansea have a difficult game today and with our super Stevie Howard and Waggie on top form we could go back to fifth. Cardiff also have a tough game against Reading we could start catching them up today as well. Mine is half Full and the fit bar maid is going to be filling it up a bit more later after we beat peterborough Because by lowering our hopes we have a shorter distance to fall when we inevitably screw it up. Surely a cardiff win would be in our best interests there because it increases our chances of finishing above reading?
FoxyPV Posted 10 April 2010 Posted 10 April 2010 I think the best option would be to clone 15 DJs enabling our team would be so immense that teams will be too scared to come onto the pitch. Imangine it 11DJs on the pitch with 5 DJs on the bench- FRIGHTENING!!!!
Salieri Posted 10 April 2010 Posted 10 April 2010 I think Lisa and her coterie of brain washed zombies (especially bettj2 whose first posting was top drawer) have got it pretty spot on so far, but there is one further point that the advocates of "let's bring DJ back to fook up Blackpool's challenge, hur hur hur!" haven't even attempted to address yet. If we were to do that, how might it affect our chances of getting shot of the overpaid cretin in the summer? And how might it hamper our reputation in the eyes of other clubs (including Blackpool) who we might want to do loan business with in future? Seems to me it would damage us much more than it is likely to damage Blackpool. fook me, I could score unmarked from a yard and half out. The bottom line is DJ has scored a few relatively insignificant goals for a club that we couldn't have expected to challenge us when we loaned him out. Hell, most of us didn't expect Leicester to be in the top seven by the end of the season, so to expect NP, MM or anyone else to have had the prescience not to loan Campbell to Blackpool is gobsmacking in it's retrospective arrogance. We didn't want him, he didn't want to be here, and Blackpool represented the only way to get him out the way. Job done. Even if there was a recall option on his loan, I'd be saying that we should leave him to rot. I trust our players to get the job done, and I don't want or need the excuse of a DJ Campbell tap-in to distract me from the job in hand. I understand that it's a nerve-wracking time to be a City fan, but honestly, I worry about our fans, I really do. We've had an amazing recovery in our fortunes over the past eighteen months, and yet we've got groups of fans booing the players and other people looking around for a scapegoat in case we don't make the play-offs. I know I've said this before, but I am utterly amazed and delighted by our performance this season, for all the blips and the fact we often seem to only play at our best for one half of the game. I can remember all to clearly the seasons when we only played well for one half EACH MONTH. I find myself dreading the prospect of making the playoffs for fear that there will be a poll on here as to whether we should sack NP for failing to win them. Not only that, I am actually dreading getting to the Premiership because all I can think of is the queues of callers to the RL moan-in complaining when we struggle to reach the top six of that at the first attempt too. Anyone who is finding the stress of the playoffs hard to cope with, and thinks they might be having an attack of the nerves, would you mind stepping away from the keyboard while you pull yourself together? Typical symptoms are paying too much attention to the players and managers at other clubs, phoning your local radio station to complain about a player who has made one mistake all season, and getting offended when someone points out you're talking shit. Sense.
Guest parky0607 Posted 10 April 2010 Posted 10 April 2010 DJ Shambles just missed a one on one against Newcastle ... hahahahahaha oh the shame XD
Trav Le Bleu Posted 10 April 2010 Posted 10 April 2010 Wow, if DJ hadn't been playing, Blackpool would have lost 27-0. It was his sublimed skill and sheer footballing genius alone that held the score to a semi-respectible 4-1. Recall him NOW!
Daggers Posted 10 April 2010 Posted 10 April 2010 Please do not mock them for they know not what they do. Do not scoff at their words for they know not what they say. Come the day of reckoning, the Lord will come from on high and smite this Army of the Dumbed - and their spirits will ascend to a greater place.

marbelladave Posted 11 April 2010 Posted 11 April 2010 MarbellaDave - I have inspected the car, and it seems like you've missed a bit. Sorry, I think I may have cleaned a car similar to yours but further down the street by mistake, ooops... Perhaps if you tie a (blue) balloon to the aerial......

Daggers Posted 11 April 2010 Posted 11 April 2010 I just can't get the minnions... Because you are out at the damn gym when they turn up!
Sir Fynwy Posted 11 April 2010 Posted 11 April 2010 Because you are out at the damn gym when they turn up! Minions could book appointments to complete their duties in future
RobHawk Posted 12 April 2010 Posted 12 April 2010 Maybe the reason we did not include a recall option is because we also included a "you cant send him back early option" for Blackpool. This then frees up more money from the wage bill which we know won't be put back again until the agreed date, hence freeing up money so we can have loanees such as spearing and vaughan. So to all of those people who said DJ should be recalled, what would you prefer?? DJ or Vaughan and Spearing?? Because we all know Mandy doesn't want to dig into his pocket if he can help it and too be honest i cant blame him! It looks good business to me!

Matt Posted 17 April 2010 Posted 17 April 2010 :crylaugh: I laugh in the face of a recall option in the DJ Campbell loan contract.
Ilkeston_Fox Posted 17 April 2010 Posted 17 April 2010 I'm only posting this because Lisa is really looking forward to reading this thread. I wouldn't want to disappiont her. Bring back DJ !!!!! Just for you Lisa

Daggers Posted 17 April 2010 Posted 17 April 2010 He scored two goals today, we should re-call him. Yes. They'd probably have lost without him.
Matt Posted 17 April 2010 Posted 17 April 2010 Yes. They'd probably have lost without him. Take away the goals he scored and they'd have drew, making us need a draw (?) from 2 games? Not that it works that way but as Daggers on RL would say - just playing Devils Advocate.
Nick Posted 17 April 2010 Posted 17 April 2010 Yes. They'd probably have lost without him. We let go a player that scores 2 goals and swap him for two other players that score a goal each? It just makes no sense.
Daggers Posted 17 April 2010 Posted 17 April 2010 DJ Campbell can juggle seventeen balls while making a beautiful boeuf en croute.
