Uruguay are one hell of a nation for football considering the size of it.

2 World Cups as well as being semi-finalists in 2010 and 4 Copa Americas, with them being the current holders of the latter.

Not bad for a nation with a population of around 3 million.

To put that in perspective, that'd be like Wales having won 2 World Cups and 4 European Championships. Whatever Uruguay have been doing, they've been punching massively above their weight since competitive international football began.

Hoilett already qualifies for his native Canada, Jamaica and US and would be eligible to represent the Three Lions under FIFA’s residency rules if he remains here for another three years.

So he still wouldn't be eligible to play for us for another couple of years then? Unless i'm missing something.
