Liamlcfc1 Posted 3 August 2010 Posted 3 August 2010 just found this he put 30M into his team last season http://www.bangkokpost.com/news/investigation/27489/playing-political-football Ex-MP Wittaya Khunpluem, son of former eastern godfather Kamnan Poh, has pledged to spend up to 30 million baht to build up the striking force of his Chonburi FC, which finished second last season.Former cabinet member Sonthaya Khunpluem, a brother of Mr Wittaya, is also known to be spending a similar amount to keep Pattaya United in the top flight after they were almost relegated this season. Mr Sonthaya has stated his intention is not to raise his personal popularity, but added his involvement with the club over recent decades could mean some Pattaya United fans might not be able to discern between politics and sport
Bellend Sebastian Posted 3 August 2010 Posted 3 August 2010 Chonburi FC sound shit. They've been around for 13 years and have only won the Thai Premier League once. What have they been pissing about at? I think we should adopt their club badge though, it's much better than ours. Let me be the first to welcome our new benevolent overlord, Mr Cuntplums
Babylon Posted 3 August 2010 Posted 3 August 2010 His brother is the Mayor or Pattaya, free labyboy with every season ticket it is then.

Bellend Sebastian Posted 3 August 2010 Posted 3 August 2010 Let me be the first to apologise to Mr Khunpluem for taking the mickey out of his name, just in case he really is our new benevolent overlord. I would also like the record to state that I'm very impressed by both his stance and his thick, lustrous hair
Corky Posted 3 August 2010 Posted 3 August 2010 £7.50 Gets them a burger and KitKat from the kiosk. It's all good.
AoWW Posted 3 August 2010 Posted 3 August 2010 Gets them a burger and KitKat from the kiosk. It's all good. Only a basic, boring burger, mind... not one with cheese, bacon, lettuce, ketchup, mayo..... *drools*
OutFoxing-Cov-Since1884 Posted 3 August 2010 Posted 3 August 2010 Out of interest, did anyone else here note that Stringer has heard how this takeover will be (and i quote); "fully transparent", "all above board" and when asking Lee Hoos on the matter of sponsership in an interview, whether this takeover / investment, had a link to sponsership, he said; "...well not exactly". This means something like Chang or Petronas with there own seperate names of their sporting links, could be a viable reason why we have no sponser yet. As most of you have already picked up on though, we are all speculating (mainly from 606 info & the merc).
Benji Posted 3 August 2010 Posted 3 August 2010 His brother is the Mayor or Pattaya, free labyboy with every season ticket it is then. It's about bloody time the club started listening to the desires of the fans. I've put a hell of alot of my money into this club and I'm still yet to see my lady boy. Make it happen Mr Khunpluem.

vinnieno1 Posted 4 August 2010 Posted 4 August 2010 hi all, just found this on the below web site, http://www.football-rumours.co.uk Hey all, I work for Leicester City Fc and have some quite good inside info. An agreement has been made for Milan Mandaric to sell Leicester City to a Far East Consortium! The deal was agreed in the summer and that is why Nigel Pearson told to find another club as the new owners wanted Paulo Sousa as there manager. Milan has sold 49% of the club and will sell the other 51% at the end of this season on the hope of getting some of his investment back if Leicester were to be promoted. The shirt sponser will be anounced by the end of this week! it is related to the new owners. The buy out will be anounced before the 1st home game against Middlesborough as it should all be completed by then. On the transfer front Leicester now have a fair bit of money to spend and will sign 4–6 players in the next 7–10 days some have already been agreed. in. Emile Heskey, Robert Koren (agreed), Liam Roseinor (agreed) Stephen Darby (loan agreed) and Adam Le Fondre. out. Dj Campbell to blackpool Matt Oakley to Swindon Sound realistic??

ACF Posted 4 August 2010 Posted 4 August 2010 Well seeing as we've knocked back the offers for DEEJ, I doubt this is really true. But if Emile came back *drooooooools*
