Finnegan Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 It is a very small restaurant but it's a very yummy one, too. I have to say, my Japanese friends would probably murder you if you compared their food to pot noodle - even though they actually have their own equivalent (which is, to be fair, far nicer.)

If we're splitting the bill I'll just have a teryaki crisp sandwich.
Edmund Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 There are at least two Japanese restaurants in Leicester, and lots of Chinese ones, and you can get just about any other ethnic cuisine if you look hard enough. None of which are teppanyaki. You haven't experienced Japanese cuisine until you've been to a teppanyaki.
lildave3 Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 Good ruck  As an aside, this guy pissed me off in that virtual world cup stucker book thing we did. Got about 18 Abe's, grew to hate his face. I'm sure that won't spill over when we sign him though...
Liamlcfc1 Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 I wouldnt think it would be as high as a mill given he's so close to the end of his contract. £500k I reckon. My mate in London reckons Neil Danns cleared out his locker at their training ground this morning. not what it says on his twitter http://twitter.com/dannzy1 Nice bit of food at the gym with scannell and ambrose, courtesy of ambrose I must say
Bellend Sebastian Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 None of which are teppanyaki. You haven't experienced Japanese cuisine until you've been to a teppanyaki. Et voila! http://www.little-tokyo.co.uk/teppan.html

My mate in London reckons Neil Danns cleared out his locker at their training ground this morning. Maybe it's just a cost cutting effect, and Palace don't want to pay for the hire of lockers anymore? And Liam, all that says is that he's had lunch with two other players, nothing more, nothing less.
Edmund Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 Et voila! http://www.little-tokyo.co.uk/teppan.html That's not proper teppanyaki though. Just a style of noodle. This is proper teppanyaki cooking :
Callabinho Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 Danns wont join us, I'd like him too all though could have been a farewell dinner haha!
Jon25747 Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/l/leicester_city/8944612.stm? Leicester City are poised to complete the signing of Japan international Yuki Abe from J-League side Urawa Reds. The 28-year-old defensive midfielder has told the media in Japan he is on his way to England to seal the deal. "I believe there is a new challenge waiting for me there and I'm hoping to finalise the move," Abe said. Abe has 49 caps for Japan and was an ever-present during the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, but any deal will be subject to him gaining a work permit.
MPH Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 Sumo wrestling half time entertainment? My money would be on Jobber
Lillehamring Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 His last transfer in Japan was around £1.8m. Average wage in the J-League is about £2k a week. It will be an undisclosed fee and seeing as he's in the last year of his contract, i'd hazard a guess that I dont have a fooking clue what we'll pay or what his wage would be. most of the japanese stories i posted last night suggested he'd be on twice his current salary.... i'm sure the figures were in there somewhere if you want to go back and check. Good ruck  As an aside, this guy pissed me off in that virtual world cup stucker book thing we did. Got about 18 Abe's, grew to hate his face. I'm sure that won't spill over when we sign him though... Perhaps panini were trying to tell you something...
Lillehamring Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 There are at least two Japanese restaurants in Leicester, and lots of Chinese ones, and you can get just about any other ethnic cuisine if you look hard enough. English food is a bit boring, but the roast dinners are traditional and popular. Fish and chips! You can't go wrong where is the other one. didn't rate little tokyo and now it's quite pricey. if anyone wants to know the best value for money, tasty japanese restaurant in london - PM me
Salieri Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 sorry if im being really stupid and slow, but is this the guy who scored free kicks for japan in the world cup or someone different? Nah that was that Honda guy.
Callabinho Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 Nah that was that Honda guy. Endo scored the first Honda got the second!
nuttytimmy Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 According to Ian Stringer in the last few minutes, Yuki Abe will be a Foxes player within the next two days, and he thinks Blackpool are close to doing a deal for Deej. Fair cop, methinks. BBC article on Abe deal, with quote from the player detailing his desire to move: http://bbc.in/djWBLp Wiki is listing Abe as a Leicester City player with squad number 22 (the same as he wears for Red Diamonds).
Salieri Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 Endo scored the first Honda got the second! What you banging on about?
jonthefox Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 Im always a tad dubious about what the old stringmiester says. I think were all agreed abe is coming , but i think the dj to blackpool deals dead.
jonthefox Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 Dont know how reliable transter market .com is , but they value him at 2.07 (?) million.
C-man Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 I just hope he gets on with the side, we can't afford an Exoddus of players.
jonw88 Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 I just hope he gets on with the side, we can't afford an Exoddus of players. Let's hope for an Odyssey instead then..
MrSpaM Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 Well one things for sure, we wouldnt have to worry about him taking penalties
