Simo86 Posted 15 October 2010 Posted 15 October 2010 I've just been chatting to a few lads in my office that are Villa fans. Currently, Davies isn't even making the Villa bench, so a loan move isn't out of the question. They did state that he has the ability to be WORLD CLASS, then 15 minutes later look like he hasn't played ina football amtch in his life. They both agreed that when he played alongside Martin Laursen he was solid and dependable. However when he played alongside Carlos Cullear (Sp?) that he was shocking, in terms of no positioning and that their seemed to be a lack of communication and looked like he need a leader alongside him. Question here, how would he fair alongside Hobbs? Personally, I'd like to see Tunchev, Davies, Hobbs, McNaughton as our back four. Doesn't he play for Cardiff? Are we signing him too?
Sly Posted 15 October 2010 Posted 15 October 2010 Doesn't he play for Cardiff? Are we signing him too? Yeeeeeeeeah!
teblin Posted 15 October 2010 Posted 15 October 2010 Is it only a month in the hope Tunch get back fit?
Tommy G Posted 15 October 2010 Posted 15 October 2010 Is it only a month in the hope Tunch get back fit? No it's just the way this works, Get him in, hopes he likes it, keen to stay on ad if Villa agree keep him till Jan Same has happened at QPR with Kyle Walker from Spurs...

Edmund Posted 15 October 2010 Posted 15 October 2010 I dunno, might sound harsh as I don't know him personally, but he seems like a right pleb - in the kieron dyer mould. only concerns are his attitude and fitness. if they're both in order, this is a treat. What are you two on about? On the Villa forums there praising him as a nice guy. He looks a bit like DJ Campbell so he must have an attitude problem
sdb Posted 15 October 2010 Posted 15 October 2010 What are you two on about? On the Villa forums there praising him as a nice guy. He looks a bit like DJ Campbell so he must have an attitude problem well MO'N wouldn't touch him with a barge poll. No suprise Villa fans take his side, they're all pissed off with MO'N for walking out on them. nice suggestion of mild racism as well, classy
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 15 October 2010 Posted 15 October 2010 Great signing. Hopefully he will stay for longer than a month too.
Joe. Posted 15 October 2010 Posted 15 October 2010 Cracking signing if he's anything like he used to be, it's difficult not to see our defensive fortunes turning around pretty sharp-ish now. Obviously it's doubtful he'll play tomorrow but a defence of Naughton, Hobbs, him and Berner looks pretty damn good on paper.

Obviously it's doubtful he'll play tomorrow but a defence of Naughton, Hobbs, him and Berner looks pretty damn good on paper. I think he might start tomorrow as they nwouldn't have rushed it through. Anything is an improvement of Morrison in Central defence, he isn't good enough at thaat position, maybe right back but we've got Naughton now. Ship Neilson and Lamey out now if Davies extends his Loan more than a month.
Edmund Posted 15 October 2010 Posted 15 October 2010 well MO'N wouldn't touch him with a barge poll. The comparison to Deej comment was in jest but judging from your posts in the EDL thread it wouldn't surprise me if this was your chain of thought.
foxoffderby Posted 15 October 2010 Posted 15 October 2010 Very happy with this. Hoping the deal is extended another top signing from Sven.
DanTheFox07 Posted 15 October 2010 Posted 15 October 2010 Great Signing this, please`s me sven is addressing our defensive problem`s
Fox in a Box Posted 15 October 2010 Posted 15 October 2010 Its confirmed here http://www.avfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10265~2185103,00.html
Tommy G Posted 15 October 2010 Posted 15 October 2010 Would we be able to have these sort of Signings under Pearson or Sousa? Almost definitely not. Thats the difference with having Sven in charge. Pulling in these sort of signings when you are in the bottom 3 is unbelievable.
Uncle Monty Posted 15 October 2010 Posted 15 October 2010 What are you two on about? On the Villa forums there praising him as a nice guy. He looks a bit like DJ Campbell so he must have an attitude problem I dunno man, I think i'm becoming quite disillusioned with the modern day footballer. He might be a real cool guy, but I saw an interview with him moaning about something whilst he was hanging out of his massive 4x4 with one of those stupid baseball hats that all the chavs wear. I was eating my toast and thinking, take your hat off you moron your an adult not a fifteen year old. Anyway, I don't doubt his ability, I hope he does really well for us and I will support him like everyone else. I'm just a miserable sod.

The wage payments on these loan signings can't be cheap!!
Leicester_Loyal Posted 15 October 2010 Posted 15 October 2010 "The 25-year-old began his professional career with Luton and will make his debut for Sven-Goran's Eriksson's side against Hull on Saturday. " From BBC Sport.
Ashley Posted 15 October 2010 Posted 15 October 2010 The signing of Naughton and Davies shows the presence of Sven being in charge and the ambitions of the new owners, I for one am really excited of what the future holds for Leicester City. The football league should be clearing the take over early next week. All we need now is a right winger and a forward, let the season start here. COME ON YOU BLUES.
Tommy G Posted 15 October 2010 Posted 15 October 2010 I think the money has alot to do with it. The wage payments on these loan signings can't be cheap!! Agreed - however the money was there under Sousa, but he chose to bring in the likes of Lamey and Moreno? Pearson did pick up a few gems wit Hobbs & Waghorn and everyone will always thank him for that. But the attraction is there for the players to now work with a manager like Sven
Jaspa Posted 15 October 2010 Posted 15 October 2010 They interviewed him on SSN when MON resigned at Villa and he seemed pretty chuffed. Lets hope he likes it here and finds form just off his best, so we can get him back
Braunyfox Posted 15 October 2010 Posted 15 October 2010 A lot of you go for a defence of Naughton Davies Hobbs Berner. Personally i would give Kennedy a run and I think Sven will do the same ...
