Jimmy Posted 20 October 2010 Posted 20 October 2010 this lad was absolute quality last night and has looked good when ever he's featured. He is easily the pick of Sousa's signings, its just a shame he never actually let the lad play. He looked like he was going to do something when ever he got the ball picking his moments perfectly at when to drift in and when to stay wide, seems to be bringing the best from king & Wellens as well as they know he will always want the ball and find space if they can pick the right pass out. At just 21 he could go on to become a fantastic player for us if he stays long enough, surely has to be 1st choice from now on on either flank
Ross 'LCFC' Turner Posted 20 October 2010 Posted 20 October 2010 Dyer and Moussa on the wings !!! Gallagher dropped, Easy
Wymsey Posted 20 October 2010 Posted 20 October 2010 Would be good until January: Moussa King Wellens Dyer
Corky Posted 20 October 2010 Posted 20 October 2010 Dyer on the left, Moussa on the right, good balance on the wings.
nickelbyfox Posted 20 October 2010 Posted 20 October 2010 Very impressed especially signing from a lower league on free transfer! Astute signing by sousa
ousefox Posted 20 October 2010 Posted 20 October 2010 Absolute class act. Wonder if he will be consistent or a bit hit and miss like Gradel was?
Collier Posted 20 October 2010 Posted 20 October 2010 Said for some time I prefer him to Gallagher, seems lively enough on the pitch. Can't recall the last time that Jock did anything of note, mind.
Koke Posted 20 October 2010 Posted 20 October 2010 I always thought the boy was more of a central midfielder than a wide man. Nonetheless, he has impressed me in the little game time he has been given.
STUHILL Posted 20 October 2010 Posted 20 October 2010 Hopefully becomes a consistent performer for us. I don't want to get carried away as he has only played a couple of games and he did say when he joined that he prefers to play CM rather than out on the wing, but I think he will be happy just to be playing. Dyer and Moussa on the wings with Vassel able to replace either, sounds promising enough.
phillthefox Posted 20 October 2010 Posted 20 October 2010 Dyer and Moussa on the wings !!! Gallagher dropped, Easy I couldnt agree more with this comment, moussa was awesome last night and by far the best player, he has pace to burn and didnt stop all night.... moussa king wellens dyer looks good
Simo86 Posted 20 October 2010 Posted 20 October 2010 There's a Moose a loose aboot this hoose..................
ajthefox Posted 20 October 2010 Posted 20 October 2010 What was his end product like?? We've had too many wingers in the past with pace but very few could deliver consistently, be nice if that could change.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 20 October 2010 Posted 20 October 2010 I like him. I know they loved him at Southend but when he initially signed I thought he might flatter to deceive (looking back that was probably more a reflection on Soussa than on him). He looks like he has loads of potential and I was surprised and impressed by the quality of his finish against S****horpe. Keep it up lad!
Jimmy Posted 20 October 2010 Author Posted 20 October 2010 What was his end product like?? We've had too many wingers in the past with pace but very few could deliver consistently, be nice if that could change. he never really crossed it, mainly playing balls through for midfielders/waggy
Cobbo Posted 20 October 2010 Posted 20 October 2010 The lad was top notch last night, not sure how many times he will have played left wing of a front 3 but he was great on the ball & his movement all game was spot on. Caused Leeds no end of problems. Could be a great asset for this season and hopefully many more to come. Should only improve over the next few years.
StanSP Posted 20 October 2010 Posted 20 October 2010 I thought he was more of a central midfielder, but if he is willing to put in more of a winger's role and play like he did yesterday, then I'm all for it!
Bert Posted 20 October 2010 Posted 20 October 2010 Let's hope he can consistently perform, so far the signs are good.

He is a great signing and I am just hoping he still gets chances when Dyer is fit again
Edmund Posted 20 October 2010 Posted 20 October 2010 Absolute class act. Wonder if he will be consistent or a bit hit and miss like Gradel was? I'd say all wingers are inconsistent. I always thought the boy was more of a central midfielder than a wide man. Nonetheless, he has impressed me in the little game time he has been given. Definitely prefers playing in the middle but deputises on the wing. If I remember correctly, the Southend fans said he was wasted out on the wing with them Been very impressed with all the interviews I've seen him do, it's rare to see a player talk about how they thrive on having the ball at their feet and enjoy passing the ball around, well in England anyway.
Nick Posted 20 October 2010 Posted 20 October 2010 For me the midfield maybe should look like: Dyer -------------Moussa-----------------King---------------Vassel in a 442 with the option of direct subs from: Gallagher,------- Abe, -------------Wellens/Oakley, ---------------N'Guessan. The back line is pretty obvious at the moment and I'd play Fryatt & Waghorn up front with Steve off the bench. And I'd stick with Weale in nets - I rate him despite some sloppy moments of late. But that's just me. *awaits firing squad*

But that's just me. *awaits firing squad* I'd say that midfields too lightweight personally, and too attack minded (or not balanced enough, which sounds better). Also, Vassell isn't really a winger. I'd prefer Dyer and Moussa as wingers, King and Wellens/Oakley in the middle.
Lord Fox Posted 20 October 2010 Posted 20 October 2010 Would be good until January: Moussa King Wellens Dyer Subject to Dyer being fit - that would be a spot on midfield for the 'Swans' and until Jan.
