scott_gunnell Posted 11 October 2010 Posted 11 October 2010 As a fan of Sven and now a new fan of Leicester FC, I was wondering how the fans feel about the current goalkeeper!!! The reason I ask is because Sven has worked with Kasper Schmeichel a couple of times now at Man City and Notts County. After it went belly up at Notts County, Kasper and his Dad Peter Schmeichel both sang the praises of Sven saying he had the best intentions etc. I watched Kasper for Notts County at Bournemouth twice last year in the league and FA Cup. His presence was very good for his age. What are your thoughts on this lads?
MPH Posted 11 October 2010 Posted 11 October 2010 With sven, anything is possible. Weale is returning from injury and is a very good keeper when on form. Maybe the new set up will bring that back out of him... If not then sure. We'll take Kasper!!!!

Dr The Singh Posted 11 October 2010 Posted 11 October 2010 Isn't he contracted to Leeds? Would they want to sell him? If not the question is academic He's warming the bench at Leeds isn't he?? Sven has more pressing matters to deal with then keepers, he's yet to shag any birds based in Leicester!!
The Doctor Posted 11 October 2010 Posted 11 October 2010 He's warming the bench at Leeds isn't he?? Sven has more pressing matters to deal with then keepers, he's yet to shag any birds based in Leicester!! only because he's been in thailand, but sven is the chuck norris of sex.
scott_gunnell Posted 11 October 2010 Author Posted 11 October 2010 only because he's been in thailand, but sven is the chuck norris of sex. To many Lady boys in thailand, he cant risk it.
mancunianfox Posted 11 October 2010 Posted 11 October 2010 To many Lady boys in thailand, he cant risk it. Fake sheikh, part deux
stix Posted 11 October 2010 Posted 11 October 2010 I think kasper schmeichel has been injured at leeds for the last few weeks. Thats why they brought in jason brown? On loan from blackburn. Think he will be first choice again when back to full fitness. I dont reckon they would sell anyway so soon after acquiring his services.
Narborough_fox Posted 11 October 2010 Posted 11 October 2010 Kasper has been injured, he's Leeds number one when fit.
Kent Posted 11 October 2010 Posted 11 October 2010 Kasper has been injured, he's Leeds number one when fit. This. He's been playing quality too.
Jacnah Posted 11 October 2010 Posted 11 October 2010 only because he's been in thailand, but sven is the chuck norris of sex.
muzzy1981 Posted 12 October 2010 Posted 12 October 2010 As a fan of Sven and now a new fan of Leicester FC, I was wondering how the fans feel about the current goalkeeper!!! Seems like a strange reason to become a Leicester fan. I particularly like eating Danish pastries at the minute but i'm not suddenly going to support FC Copenhagen. Your more than welcome though my friend, welcome aboard the Milan Mandaric Mystery Tour!
bluebeau Posted 23 October 2010 Posted 23 October 2010 I am not intending to start another rumour, but I wondered what do you Foxes Talk posters think to this? Could Kasper Schmeichel be a January target for Sven to buy from Leeds? I think Sven rates him highly & there is probably a mutual admiration thing between them. Would be a great signing if it were to happen imo.
Philbert Fox Posted 23 October 2010 Posted 23 October 2010 I'd like him to come to the Walkers Stadium, he's a fantastic Goalkeeper, I remember when I saw him play against us in the 2007/2008 season, when he was on loan at Cardiff City. We were all over them that night and it was him who single handedly earnt them a 0-0 draw, he was absolutely amazing, we just could not get it past him, if a slightly less quality goalkeeper was in goal we'd have won that game. Whether Grayson will let him go to a rival club is another thing, I hope we do manage to get him and keep him at the Club for many years because I think he'll be better than his Dad in the future.
Koke Posted 23 October 2010 Posted 23 October 2010 He single handedly kept Cardiff in the game that night. It was thanks to him they earned a 0-0 draw. Sven can't buy anyone till January anyway, and I still don't think Leeds will sell him, unless they get a ridiculous offer, which I hope does not happen.

I dont ever think he has the potential to be better then his dad. No way! But nevertheless your right about that Cardiff game. He is a quality keeper! Don't understand why he doesn't get starts at Leeds, but we'll take him if we get the chance.
Rich Fox Posted 23 October 2010 Posted 23 October 2010 I dont think Weale is good enough makes far to many mistakes and am sure sven will replace him in January by then he could costus a place in the play offs with his mistakes.

sdb Posted 23 October 2010 Posted 23 October 2010 Weale certainly doesn't look the same player he did in his 1st 6 months with us.
Zingari Posted 23 October 2010 Posted 23 October 2010 has there even been a hint or rumour that we are linked with him ? has he been spotted in morrisons ?
AaronH Posted 23 October 2010 Posted 23 October 2010 If we were to go after him I would imagine wew would pay over the odds as he only signed for them in the summer
Bryn Posted 23 October 2010 Posted 23 October 2010 Not worth the money we'd have to shell out, I reckon they'd want £3m plus and I'd much sooner that was spent elsewhere as I think Weale is a good keeper.
bluebeau Posted 23 October 2010 Posted 23 October 2010 Isn't he contracted to Leeds? Would they want to sell him? If not the question is academic How come that I started this new topic at around 1.30am today, and it's now been changed to another poster? Don't understand. OK, I have now noticed that you have continued it from a earlier post on the same subject. Apologies.
bluebeau Posted 23 October 2010 Posted 23 October 2010 has there even been a hint or rumour that we are linked with him ? has he been spotted in morrisons ? No but I was behind him in the queue at Poundland. He's a big bugger for sure!

He does make mistakes but those alone could cost us a play-off place? Seriously?
