Ah right so one of those unwritten rules, that you just fancy having a moan about then.

Sometime I wonder if i'm allowed an opinion, and whatever I say people will disagree, even if they agree with it, ironically like you, compare the following posts.

The same thoughts, worded differently, yet for some reason you have a problem with my post. Confused.

It's not fuking go.compare.com is it?

I have never met a more pedantic person (on the internet) that you before

Sven will have learnt things today, so that could be a positive.

We will lose games under him, it's how we respond to the defeats is what's important.

Can't remember too many criticising 4-5-1 on Tuesday night or the days thereafter...

Yeh but don't forget that people on here have won the Premier League on Football Manager with Hinckley Utd, they know best.

Think sven had a bit of a nightmare today.

IF he wants to play with one up front, then fryatt, is the last one of our strikers suited to that role.

He doesn`t have the strength to hold up the ball, or the pace to get in behind.

Fryatt needs a partner.

Then he brings on Abe, for moussa, to play out wide, when Abe is a central midfielder.

Now i don`t know if Abe will prove himself to be good enough to play in this league, but surely his best chance has got to be playing in a position he`s familiar with, and comfortable with.

Then he brings waggy on, and takes king off, personally i would have brought on Howard, but , Why, when you need a goal, do you take off your best goalscoring midfielder, puzzling to me!

Oh well, onwards and upwards, lets hope sven will have learnt a few things from today, and this is just a blip, at what to be fair, was always going to be a tough game.

I actually missed out on Swansea's second goal.laugh.gif

That was just really, really bad.

On paper, a 4-5-1 might work against the likes of Swansea, but to be honest, they're not really known for the attacking prowess.

Sven should've come up with a more attacking formation. Leaving it the way it was after half-time was a mistake on his behalf.

We never really looked like scoring, poor Matty Fryatt left alone up front, hardly any support from midfield.

Hobbs seemed shaky, was at the centre for Swansea's first.

Obviously, Davies having to leave was a certain blow, too.

Waghorn must've frustrated a lot of people today, looked completely out of his depth.

Oh, and we have West Brom coming to town on Tuesday? We're going to get thrashed.

For fuck sake, how can you seriously say stuff like this from listening to it on Foxes Player?!

You know that Waghorn looked out of his depth, don't you mean sounded?!

It sounded to me that King barely touched the ball today so was taken off which is fair enough. It sounded like both Wellens & Oakley were too slow and sloppy today but at least they were touching the ball. I would have thought that he would have brought Howard on too if he did not have to take Davies off injured.

changing the team and tactics for a game against arguably one of the best teams at home in the league was the wrong decision in my opinion.

yes, we will lose more, hopefully not many more, but it seemed all wrong today.

should of tried this formation and team on tuesday in the LC rather than risk 3pts when, at present, 3pts are very much first on the agenda.

roll on tuesday

Not good enough. However we need to give things time to gel. I don't think promotion is a realistic goal for this season and the focus will have to be to get those 55 points as soon as possible, to survive in the Championship, so next season we can give it a real go. I don't think we should take the game on Wednesday too seriously as West Brom are flying at the moment and a win against them on Wednesday would be a miracle. Cup runs can be a distraction so the focus has to be the league.

Swansea are unbeaten at home for a long time so it was inevitable that it would be a tough game. I'm pretty sure the 4-5-1 was to help counter their attacking threat and not give them space and time on the ball, which it sounded like we did as they were giving the ball away a lot especially first half. However unlike at Leeds they sounded like they put us under a lot of pressure and closed us down, whereas Leeds let us play and gave us more space. Sven said himself after Leeds that away from home he wants us to be more mobile, hence not playing Howard up front, but it sounded like Fryatt wasn't given enough support by the wingers and King especially. We reverted to a 4-5-1 on Tuesday as well after a while and played well so Sven obviously wanted to try it out more. Limiting ourselves to only playing 4-4-2 is not the way forward, Capello get slaughtered for sticking with 4-4-2 with England, yet everyone keeps crying out for us to play that way?? Give Sven time to work out what works and what doesn't, he also needs to try out players and see what they can do, and needs to learn how to utilise them. How would he know whether Fryatt can play on his own or not? He hasn't seen him play in a match until to day. He has not had the luxury of a pre-season to work all of these things out, so it will take a bit of time for him to learn and get it right and i'm sure when it does we will really kick on and move up the table. I just don't understand the kneejerk reactions to every bad result or performance, we had a bad day end of. Swansea are no mugs so don't understand this feeling that we should win every match, we are where we are and they are where they are for a reason.

It's must be soul-destroying supporting Fryatt. He hardly ever sees a run or gives a pass when he does. Fryatt is very much an individual player.

Disagree. We've worked hard to reach this stage and to not take it too seriously would be a major error. It will be a good test against a very confident team and a victory will send the confidence within the squad soaring.

Why do so many people talk about - not changing the team? Gallagher was injured so couldn't play.

Berner was second best to Swansea's Nathan Dyer last season so Cunningham seemed a reasonable choice.

Sven will learn about his players from this performance - he's had no pre-season-new 3 out of the back 4-loads of reasons/excuses for defeat.

Sod the Carling Cup - waste of time - need to concentrate on the league.

Did we change the tactics that much from Tuesday or were Swansea just better than us. Certainly they had too much energy in the centre of midfield for us and when you play 3 one paced cm's in the same team it will be difficult against more mobile opponents. The problem for Sven at the moment is that there is no alternative in there. That needs to be looked at as much as the RM area imo.

Would have been delighted with a point today down there, tough place to go only conceded 1 at home.

I hate losing but I hope Sven has found out something from today, they worked their butts off to close us down so we never had the same freedom as we did at Leeds but whether we go with a lone striker or 442 our midfield has once again gone missing, Kingy had another one of his invisible games, the lad is fantastic but also fantastically inconsistent, Oakley and Wellens are similar either on it or not at the races.

I lost count of the number of times I heard Fryatt "throws his arms up in the air" and Abe followed by "awful" seriously we cannot be giving this Abe guy as much time on the pitch, he looks absolutely dire.

All in all not a great day but I hope the positives that come from this are that Sven knows exactly what's letting the side down and the key areas that need improving.

Seems you weren't at the match so it's harsh to criticise Abe. If I don't see a match I don't comment.

BR capitalised on our current lack of fitness.

Not worried by this loss. To a decent team who were going to outlast us all day long. Couple of weeks and we'll be back to fitness.:scarf:

Swansea were better but changing personell in the team from a great win against Leeds seemed strange to me. This is why I'm a fan rather than a Manager like many others on here that think they are!

As for the Midfield problem i agree with you when we're playing 4-5-1 like today. doesn't seem to be any help coming from there. Only player that seems to is King but games like today when he isn't in the game nothing seems to work. I'm a big fan of 4-5-1 but as a attacking formation moving to 4-3-3 like holland. I'd love to see this but i think we haven't got the players or bottle to do it in this league.

How many more times - he had to change the personnel - Gallagher was not fit.
