Edmund Posted 23 October 2010 Posted 23 October 2010 We haven't kept a clean sheet all season. (Apart from Thai game) Middlesbrough
STUHILL Posted 23 October 2010 Posted 23 October 2010 You're all '****'s'. What u talking about?? Sven was at fault for not changing a system that wasn't working!! U idiot. Am I not allow to criticise poor decisions?
stivesfox Posted 23 October 2010 Posted 23 October 2010 quote name='Watson' date='23 October 2010 - 04:57 PM' timestamp='1287849421' post='1717638'] Really don't understand why the team needed to be changed from Leeds. The only change i would have made would be to bring in Dyer for Gallagher. How Cunningham can come straight in for Bruno just seems really odd. Fryatt will do nothing upfront on his own as he is player who needs support IMO. Fryatt needs support, fryatt is well paid footballer, no excuses he has played upfront alone before protection of the Fryatt is laughable!!! Why is Matt Fryatt held up as this god he is CRAP!!!
Tommy G Posted 23 October 2010 Posted 23 October 2010 Just don't understand how we can go from being so good on tuesday night, to being so poor today just a few days later??? Incredible really. It's called....''football''
Libertine Posted 23 October 2010 Posted 23 October 2010 More disappointing than the defeat is the apparent lack of attacking intent. Bringing on Abe when we're losing? The starting formation was odd also. But at least Sven will have learnt more about the squad and it'll also give some of our fans a reality check that it isn't going to be an immediate miracle cure.
JoeS Posted 23 October 2010 Posted 23 October 2010 451 will never work with our players and in this league
Corky Posted 23 October 2010 Posted 23 October 2010 Shame, but Swansea is a very tough place to go to. Unbeaten there since March. Two big home games coming up now.
lcfcsnow Posted 23 October 2010 Posted 23 October 2010 Does anyone know why are we bringing this Japanese defensive midfielder in on the right wing every game? He's shown nothing, that and the Davies injury left us only 1 change to effect the game. Very dissappointing.
Matt Posted 23 October 2010 Author Posted 23 October 2010 What u talking about?? Sven was at fault for not changing a system that wasn't working!! U idiot. Am I not allow to criticise poor decisions? Exactly my friend. I agree, but I was just saying what Tommy G replied to me for having those opinions.
STUHILL Posted 23 October 2010 Posted 23 October 2010 Swansea are a better side than Leeds? That's definitely true but I still think we sounded very poor compared to Tuesday Exactly my friend. I agree, but I was just saying what Tommy G replied to me for having those opinions. My bad
FrankieADZ Posted 23 October 2010 Posted 23 October 2010 I'm going to put this one down as a blip tho.
cc_star Posted 23 October 2010 Posted 23 October 2010 Davies lack of pace for the 1st goal, but looking at the beeb website we had 5 shots on target to their 4... They scored 2 of theirs we missed all of ours Same story all season, Vassel can't gain match fitness quick enough Fryatt ALWAYS needs a partner as well having him as a lone forward has never worked Still, you can't win them all, plenty of teams will lose at Swansea this season.
Tommy G Posted 23 October 2010 Posted 23 October 2010 Exactly my friend. I agree, but I was just saying what Tommy G replied to me for having those opinions. FuKing Hell, you are an internet badger aren't you Maybe that's why you started this thread 0.3 seconds after the final whistle. Get over it
Matt Posted 23 October 2010 Author Posted 23 October 2010 FuKing Hell, you are an internet badger aren't you Maybe that's why you started this thread 0.3 seconds after the final whistle. Get over it Oh right, where are the forum rules over when a post match thread can be started then I missed that. My bad, Apologies.
ithuriel Posted 23 October 2010 Posted 23 October 2010 Learning curve still going sharply, another away defeat to Swansea is'nt too bad considering where they are and the team is in flux. Another striker will be on the way from the looks of things.
ScouseFox Posted 23 October 2010 Posted 23 October 2010 We sounded shit. Quickly move on to the next match, hopefully progress in the cup, and Preston is a more winnable game.
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 23 October 2010 Posted 23 October 2010 This is nothing more than a blip. We have three games coming up where we COULD get 9 points from, Sven is a good manager who will again work the loan market between now and next week. A targetman and a winger is a preference for me. The only worry is... how many loan players are we allowed in the starting eleven??
Filbert_Ross Posted 23 October 2010 Posted 23 October 2010 didnt go the game or listen to it so not got an opinion really. ssshhhhh

Guest Basildon Fox Posted 23 October 2010 Posted 23 October 2010 Oh well. Can't win em all. Sounded like we couldn't get going today, probably not helped by 2 long journeys in the space of 4 days. Central midfield is where we lost it today We need a general in there to get stuck in and lift the team. No ball retention and no support to Fryatt. Still we have only lost 1 of the last 4. We will be ok I am sure. Little concerned by the on-going crapness of Abe Yuki though. Perhaps needs to come out of the team until he can communicate with his team mates. He is a different gravy to Kaebi as he quite clearly has some talent as sean in the WC this summer. Needs to start showing it though as people will soon be on his back (me included).
Matt Posted 23 October 2010 Author Posted 23 October 2010 They can be found below Up Your Arse Ah right so one of those unwritten rules, that you just fancy having a moan about then. Sometime I wonder if i'm allowed an opinion, and whatever I say people will disagree, even if they agree with it, ironically like you, compare the following posts. I am unsure about some of his changes/tactics/formation or whatever. But he's the boss and sometimes it doesn't go your way, players weren't at the races today. Sounded poor, and I don't want to but gotta question what Sven was doing with his tactics and selection today. Oh well, we'll move on. The same thoughts, worded differently, yet for some reason you have a problem with my post. Confused.
Simmo86 Posted 23 October 2010 Posted 23 October 2010 We're still lacking a couple of decent centre midfielders. Needed Wellens and Oakley to be intelligent with the ball today and they just sounded sloppy, thus we have no control on the game! Happens to often for my liking.
wakeyfox01 Posted 23 October 2010 Posted 23 October 2010 Swansea are unbeaten at home for a long time so it was inevitable that it would be a tough game. I'm pretty sure the 4-5-1 was to help counter their attacking threat and not give them space and time on the ball, which it sounded like we did as they were giving the ball away a lot especially first half. However unlike at Leeds they sounded like they put us under a lot of pressure and closed us down, whereas Leeds let us play and gave us more space. Sven said himself after Leeds that away from home he wants us to be more mobile, hence not playing Howard up front, but it sounded like Fryatt wasn't given enough support by the wingers and King especially. We reverted to a 4-5-1 on Tuesday as well after a while and played well so Sven obviously wanted to try it out more. Limiting ourselves to only playing 4-4-2 is not the way forward, Capello get slaughtered for sticking with 4-4-2 with England, yet everyone keeps crying out for us to play that way?? Give Sven time to work out what works and what doesn't, he also needs to try out players and see what they can do, and needs to learn how to utilise them. How would he know whether Fryatt can play on his own or not? He hasn't seen him play in a match until to day. He has not had the luxury of a pre-season to work all of these things out, so it will take a bit of time for him to learn and get it right and i'm sure when it does we will really kick on and move up the table. I just don't understand the kneejerk reactions to every bad result or performance, we had a bad day end of. Swansea are no mugs so don't understand this feeling that we should win every match, we are where we are and they are where they are for a reason.
