chili_con_carne Posted 10 November 2010 Posted 10 November 2010 These two haven't been performing to the same levels as last season. Same could be said about Hobbs. King started the season well, but since Sousa has gone he has seemed to have dropped his performance levels. Maybe he needs a rest? Waghorn just isn't the same player, 3 million? Time will tell if it was good business i suppose.
Tommy G Posted 10 November 2010 Posted 10 November 2010 You bafoon. Waghorn was £2m for starters King has been on fire? What is it like sitting in your armchair?
Corky Posted 10 November 2010 Posted 10 November 2010 If anything King has been better than last season.
LCFCkid Posted 10 November 2010 Posted 10 November 2010 kings been one of our better players and i think waghorns time will come, he just needsto be patient

Wymsey Posted 10 November 2010 Posted 10 November 2010 Waghorn can hit a 20ft barn door by how he is playing.
MC Prussian Posted 10 November 2010 Posted 10 November 2010 Waghorn can hit a 20ft barn door by how he is playing. If he actually manages to get a shot on goal, let alone manages to receive a proper pass. King? Topscorer. Say no more. It's the interaction between midfield and attack that still worries me most.

teblin Posted 10 November 2010 Posted 10 November 2010 Dont agree with the king comment. But not impressed with waghorn at the moment.
DanTheFox07 Posted 10 November 2010 Posted 10 November 2010 Errrm..... People are not impressed with waghorn? why.....? does everyone needed to be reminded that he has played out of postion pretty much all season! will explain his lack of goals and not exactly had great service all season round.

Guest BlueBrett Posted 11 November 2010 Posted 11 November 2010 Mental. If King was playing any better than he is now he'd be off to the prem in Jan. And who on earth plus 1d the widest of the mark post I've read this week?!
CKB Posted 11 November 2010 Posted 11 November 2010 WHATTTTTTTTTTTTT?? King has been outstanding this season and is getting better and better Waghorn has struggled a tad yes but people are labeling him more because he hasn't scored many goals.. IMO Waghorn is not a 20 a season goal scorer but will chip in with 10/12/max 15 which highlights the need for a clinical striker at the club and i don't see Fryatt being that Man either.. But what Waggers gives you is 100% all the time and plays with passion
Guest ttfn Posted 11 November 2010 Posted 11 November 2010 I didn't go tonight: I think I should mention this before I post. But Waghorn is technically poor. He works bloody hard but his average first touch goes farther than I can kick it.
gregdj Posted 11 November 2010 Posted 11 November 2010 King had a poor game for him last night, in so much as he was largely anonymous, but IMO he has been our best player in the majority of game this season. Also Waghorn is not an out and out goalscorer, that was never part of his game, i think he is generally playing well in a team that is stuttering at the moment
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 11 November 2010 Posted 11 November 2010 King had a poor game last night, but this season so far he has been great. Waghorn for me hasnt been as good as last season, but he has hardly been shocking.
MrSpaM Posted 11 November 2010 Posted 11 November 2010 I don't agree with the King comment, i think he's played better this season. I am starting to wonder about Waghorn though, 2mil for a player who's probably going to be warming our bench come january. He just dosnt seem to have the same grit as last season, and looks lost every time i've seen him play, much like Fryatt. I hope he proves me wrong, he's a good lad, just needs to find his form again.
Fox92 Posted 11 November 2010 Posted 11 November 2010 I like King don't get me wrong, but I think he is a bit inconsistant - I did last season as well. Not sure about Waghorn, but he has nothing to prove like last season. The thing that winds me up about Waghorn is when he goes down too easily. £2million looks abit over priced at the minute, but his time may come.
Dan Posted 11 November 2010 Posted 11 November 2010 Waghorn I agree has been very dissapointing, Oh and FWIW, he was £3mil not £2mil. I think he will come good in time but he's let me down this year. Andy King, is quiet in a lot of games and always has been, but you absolutely cannot knock his ability to get in the positions and score goals - especially considering his age and position, King will be our biggest academy product in years, mark my words.

The thing that winds me up about Waghorn is when he goes down too easily. £2million looks abit over priced at the minute, but his time may come. Everyone in our team is and has been inconsistent this season that's why we've gone from total domination in games to looking like a bunch of incompetent strangers and this is/was happening under Sven and Sousa. Even our so called improvement in defence is extremely fragile, witness last nights equaliser which included the so called dream defenders of Curtis, Cunningham and Noughton.

JoshyT Posted 12 November 2010 Posted 12 November 2010 As many people have already said King is playing flipping amazing And Waghorn may not be the best technical player but he plays with %110 passion and commitment need I remind you of that fateful night in May when Waghorn sunk to the ground in tears after missing his penalty? Surely that shows some sort of love for the club? Give Waghorn a break
