shailen Posted 13 November 2010 Posted 13 November 2010 The way we are currently playing I cant see us conceding many goals. If we can sign Davies till end of season or even on a permanent basis I see us getting at least 3rd. I think we have got to aim for automatic promotion, big ask with us 14 points behind QPR but it is achievable. We have to carry on winning all season now, I dont want to see us lose more than 5 games if we are to get promoted automatically. Tough ask but we have got Sven at the helm!
MattyFromLE Posted 13 November 2010 Posted 13 November 2010 Current Form Uploaded with ImageShack.us Cooooooor! Leicester, Forest and Derby in the mixer! This could be an interesting next few months!
Leicester_Loyal Posted 13 November 2010 Posted 13 November 2010 Play offs. Cardiff + Swansea to go up. If not, one of those 2 + QPR.
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 13 November 2010 Posted 13 November 2010 Form is looking wonderful, but we still need to really keep our feet on the floor at the minute and take each game as it comes. There are still some very good sides in our division.
Dylan Posted 13 November 2010 Posted 13 November 2010 Here are the points totals for second place in the Championship for the past 4 years. 09/10- WBA- 91 08/09- Brum- 83 07/08- Stoke- 79 06/07- Brum- 86 An average of 85 points (to nearest points). We're currently on 22pts from 17, meaning we'll need 63 points from 29 to get the 85 total. This equals 2.17 points per game. Since Sousa left, we've got 17pts from 8 which equals 2.13 points per game. If we keep up this great form, It is defo possible to realistically catch up- as I think the total will be lower this season as even QPR look like they're slacking now- Cardiff look like the only dominant team atm, whereas last year West Brom and Newcastle looked dominant from day one. However, I think we'll fall short, but will make the playoffs.

samjohnson Posted 13 November 2010 Posted 13 November 2010 Play-offs will do. I fancy Derby at Wembley.
sdb Posted 13 November 2010 Posted 13 November 2010 no way can we go top 2, no way. bear in mind next time we lose everyone on here will be slitting their wrists and preparing for League 1.
Bryn Posted 13 November 2010 Posted 13 November 2010 Playoffs or just short I think, we're making good progress but there's a long way to go yet.
Hammster Posted 13 November 2010 Posted 13 November 2010 I thought this was a joke thread when I saw the title. At-least no-one is getting ahead of themselves...

lavrentis Posted 13 November 2010 Posted 13 November 2010 facepalm.jpeg Whats wrong with that he's saying? Yes let's aim for midtable medicority and go nowhere... It's clear the owners want to be promoted, nothing wrong with aiming high. We should always be aiming for top spot, we're on great form, Sven as manager, money probably availible in January and we're not past Christmas yet so its too early to call but nowt wrong with what he's posted.
Leicester_Loyal Posted 13 November 2010 Posted 13 November 2010 Average for 6th place is 72/73 points. We need to win half our remaining games and then the draws we will get should take us into the play offs. Too early to say for sure though, this is just hoping
Foxes Blue Blood Posted 13 November 2010 Posted 13 November 2010 If you make a comparision to last season after playing 17 games we are 8 points behind last seasons tally, however last season we then went on to Win 13 Draw 7 and Lost 9 games, so keep positive and look forward, we still can do better than last season.
Blue fox David Posted 13 November 2010 Posted 13 November 2010 Let's not get carried away, theres still a long way to go yet.
Babylon Posted 13 November 2010 Posted 13 November 2010 Current Form Uploaded with ImageShack.us Cardiff, Swansea, Leicester, Forest... last seasons playoff contenders coming back to form. (I mean contending getting into the play offs, I know Blackpool were in the actual playoffs... before the smart arses come out)
Corky Posted 13 November 2010 Posted 13 November 2010 This division is so tight, we're five off fourth and five off 22nd. We've picked up 17 points in our last eight matches, keep that form going for a while yet and we'll be right in the mix.
purpleronnie Posted 13 November 2010 Posted 13 November 2010 If we make the playoffs it will be a minor miracle as for automatic promotion....give over.
Finnegan Posted 13 November 2010 Posted 13 November 2010 Whats wrong with that he's saying? Er. It's November and we're in the bottom half? One game at a time, please.
AoWW Posted 13 November 2010 Posted 13 November 2010 Er. It's November and we're in the bottom half? One game at a time, please. Pfft, where's your optimism?!
Salieri Posted 13 November 2010 Posted 13 November 2010 Look at the progress Sven has made in the short time he has been here. I don't think aiming for a Play Off spot is in any way unrealistic.
ajthefox Posted 14 November 2010 Posted 14 November 2010 Aiming high is fine, it's well within the realms of possibility that we could get play-offs. Don't expect promotion though. It could not have got worse under Sven than what it was and we will not maintain such good form forever. For now, let's just enjoy every win we get, especially the more important ones such as today..
