samjohnson Posted 21 November 2010 Posted 21 November 2010 Today, i went by a house on my daily jog, and noticed a house that had put thier Christmas decorations up... I personally believe it to be too god damn early. I mean, its not even December! So, when is it time to "Deck the Halls" in your eyes?
Wymsey Posted 21 November 2010 Posted 21 November 2010 Would never do it in case some decoration is stolen. There was a house somewhere in Braunstone famous for its spectacular Xmas light decorations and had many times had Xmas outside decorations stolen. Waste of money and electricity + danger to the householders really imo.
Webbo Posted 21 November 2010 Posted 21 November 2010 We usually put out our decorations on the 7th my daughter's birthday. Tbh that still feels a little early to me.
Jimothy Posted 21 November 2010 Posted 21 November 2010 Far too early. Has to be at the very least December before anything is put up.
Libertine Posted 21 November 2010 Posted 21 November 2010 Seen a few houses with lights up already. Have seen them way earlier in previous years though, actually not as bad this year. October is a disgrace.
ajthefox Posted 21 November 2010 Posted 21 November 2010 Anything before december is just silly, usually put ours up the week before although i tihnk that's a little late.
Jackirius Posted 21 November 2010 Posted 21 November 2010 Usually about the second weekend in December. I've seen a few round where i live. Ridiculous.
AoWW Posted 21 November 2010 Posted 21 November 2010 Yeah, I spotted a house bedecked with decorations over a week ago, and grumbled loudly and profusely. Ridiculous, imo. Second week in December is about right, I reckon.
The Doctor Posted 21 November 2010 Posted 21 November 2010 1st weekend of december. I've no problem leaving the lights up all year round (so long as they don't go on till december) because it's just too much effort to take them down again.
Mee Posted 21 November 2010 Posted 21 November 2010 Usually about the second weekend in December. I've seen a few round where i live. Ridiculous. Always wanted to go to Lapland. Meet Santas wife and spend an hour in her grotto.
Ashley Posted 21 November 2010 Posted 21 November 2010 When ever you see the COCA-COLA advert, that for me is Christmas time. I've heard people to say it's airing now but I havent seen it. Bleeding music channels been playing christmas songs since the start of the month tho :l
ScouseFox Posted 21 November 2010 Posted 21 November 2010 Second week of December is when we put ours up, anything before December is ridiculous.
Wymsey Posted 21 November 2010 Posted 21 November 2010 Hate the site of any decorations at the moment. I still got 4 fooking weeks of Uni including 4 two hour lectures each week.
Tilley Posted 21 November 2010 Posted 21 November 2010 Hate the site of any decorations at the moment. I still got 4 fooking weeks of Uni including 4 two hour lectures each week. Four two hour lectures a week? I despair.
