And your point is?  Tell them, you were meeting a mate but he missed his train, whatever.

Or you're just new to the area and don't know anyone here?

Definitely started getting an itchy nose and sneezing more in the summer these past few years. Very minor but I'd assume it's something that can develop.

Yeah I've already resigned myself to it being like this for the foreseeable future.

Looked in the mirror this morning and part of the bottom of one of my front teeth has somehow has chipped off, any idea how and how much it will cost to fix it? I'm a student too so not sure if I have to pay.

Hi,

I'm 27 and recently moved back to Leicester. I work from home where I communicate with clients by email maybe 2-3 times a day max.

I have no friends or family locally. What do I do with my life?

I'd probably move somewhere a bit more social. If you can work from anywhere, the world is your oyster. I'd love to be in that position. Working from Bali... yes please Jeff.

Clubs. I'm the same age and it is a struggle making proper friends if they're not already friends of friends.

I made some great friends and had a great time joining a Rugby club a few years ago in Sheffield. Join a sports team or club, football/rugby/tennis/whatever. Squash is great as well.

Any other hobbies? Societies at the Leicester Uni's? I'm going to start going to a DJ soc meetup soon (not to make friends but the premise is the same).

You've just got to put yourself in those positions with forced interactions if you find it hard just striking up conversations with random people.

I did debate moving abroad but I have to attend a monthly meeting in London. Also i'm stuck here now as I've bought a flat.

I used to play cricket up to under 17 level for Warwickshire but I had a shoulder injury had to retire. I play badminton once a week with my cousin that's about it.

What societies are out there?

Posted

board game clubs, open mic volunteering, film clubs photography clubs LBGT  society and many more. There many listed in magazines scattered in bars and pubs and pamphlets to suit all interests.

Am I the only person still using BBC teletext? I check it every morning to see first the football news and then the rest of the news.

How old is your telly?

I don't think I can even get teletext on my smart TV these days.

There's clubs and societies for pretty much everything if you look. Why not join a Badminton club with your cousin? You get to mix up your playing partner and you get to socialise. So easy if you really want to.

I do. Hope the BBC don't scrap it, as everything shouldn't be online.

Read the news and football too on it whilst having breakfast, makes you reflect outside on normal daily life (if you know what I mean).

Just press the red button while you're watching any BBC channel, I'm pretty sure you have it.

It's not classic 'Ceefax', it's the new interactive red button type thing or whatever.

How old fashioned.

I just ring Clubcall for my football headlines

Should I tell my employer that one of my colleagues has got an anxiety disorder (which he revealed to me, but reluctant to tell employer)?

He does the job well but he stresses about what others think about him and struggles when things get onto of him.

no. it's not something you should reveal without someone's consent, in my eyes.

Where are you a student?

If your uni has a dental school you can sometimes get free treatment from trainee dentists.

Only if he is a risk to himself or others I would say.

You're not alone. I use it twice a day. Early morning, and late evening.

I too, view BBC teletext sometimes. Quite like the format, each heading is well laid out and easy to access.
