Need to be winning games like this, our recent record at Deepdale isn't the worst so hopefully that can continue.

Agreed there really out of sorts at the moment and we need to be winning this one me thinks. Although it can make them more up for it which can be a major issue. Ie/ ipswich

Same team but Vassell out for Yakubu I reckon. First time we've had a decent break season the Christmas period, 6 days off, really fancy us this weekend, anticipating a comfortable win. I'll say 2-0, King and Gallagher, Yakubu to put in a tentative but positive performance and come off in the second half.

we're all aware that yakubu has hardly played for ages right? there's no reason for him to be immediately sucessful...

But if he scores tomorrow i'll happily eat up my words!

Yes, exactly. In his interview, Yakubu declared himself 'really fit', although Sven will be able to judge the level he's at during training. Sven might want to start with Waghorn, then bring Yakubu on 2nd half :dunno:

Ellington Joins The Lilywhites

Nathan Ellington has joined Preston North End on loan from Watford until the end of the season following a successful trial at the club.

Watford's record transfer scored twice for David Unsworth's reserve team against Shrewsbury Town at Victory Park on Wednesday and will now remain with the Lilywhites until the end of the season.

Ellington has spent much of this campaign and a period last season playing in Greece for FC Xanthi where the striker scored seven times in 19 games.

The former Bristol Rovers, West Brom, Wigan Athletic and Derby County striker will now be eligible for Saturday's home clash with Leicester City.

Ellington has been handed the number 18 and will be ineligible to play in either of the games against Watford.

This could go any way and it wouldn't be a surprise.

Our last performance was brilliant but our away form and the fact they'll have new manager syndrome doesn't exactly bode well.

Going to be interesting, we really have to stick a few wins together if promotion is our aim, a win ever other game and we'll go nowhere.

As the Preston players will be raring to play well tomorrow and impress the new manager, i think Sven will adopt more of a defensive approach like a 5-3-2 formation.

i can see us losing :/

half the time when a manager makes is home debut, they'll most likely win :frusty:

i dont know how it will end to be honest

1v1

Dyer

:chant:

That's what I'm worried about, if it wasn't his first league game I'd be confident of a win. We've got to be as up for it as we were against Man City. I can see us losing 2-1, or winning 2-0

0-3 to us... were on the up

I've already had a few quid on this. Probably might as well of pissed it against a wall but we live in hope.

Btw..**** their new players and manager! We've got The Yak, Bamba and possibly Mee making league debuts. We're going to blow them away!
